  1. Nostalgia once again saved, a momentous task you all have undertaken. I and many others appreciate all the hard work you all do here. I remember Filefront being the go to place for a mod, user created content and patches. I still play the older games of my youth, heh maybe I really don't want to grow up :D This, THIS is one of the many reasons why I chose to be a premium member, money well spent I'd say. Thank You again
  2. Yeah I get that some times now and then. Used to be all the time. Granted the plugins.txt for me was untouched and I just use notepad++ Insert function to put in the *'s.
  3. I don't even have fallout4, DLCRobot or DLCWorkshop01 esm files in my my plugins.txt file
  4. Why use fallout4.ini? prefs and custom are their so you don't have to muck with the original. [Archive] sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\, TEXTURES\, MUSIC\, SOUND\, INTERFACE\, MESHES\, PROGRAMS\, MATERIALS\, LODSETTINGS\, VIS\, MISC\, SCRIPTS\, SHADERSFX\, VIDEO\ Put this in your fallout4custom.ini Anyways this works for me. I prefer this way than the original way earlier on.
  5. I have run into this situation. But it only happens when I install a new mod. In NMM all plugins are checked and mods are checked I go in game and it does it's usual blah blah about missing mods and such. My plugins.txt file will have all mods in it, but wait all the asterisks are not there. My solution to this is to use Notepad++ >open plugins.txt file >place cursor at top beginning of first mod entry> hold shift+alt+down arrow when at beginning of last mod entry press shift+8 and an asterisk will appear at the beginning of each mod entry. In any case always have a current backup of plugins.txt. This may not help your situation, but it sure beats checking each mod off one by one, with the risk of something breaking in the process.
  6. In the plugins.txt file do all entries have a * in front? It seems that everytime i install a mod I have to put the * back. Just a thought.
  7. Nevermind, the ini files were changed and at that point mods were disabled. I about had a heart attack! But, me being me, I can't idly sit by and do nothing. So, I updated Nexus and re-enabled mods and changed the ini files and it all worked out. :D Not sure how the ini files were changed, maybe the new DLC?
  8. This is quite odd, I leaded a save game and everything I had scrapped houses, diners, roads you name it, it all came back. No matter what save I load. It's like everything, well at least settlements were reset to original state before I touched them. Any ideas would be great, cause I'd hate scrap all settlements and rebuild. Otherwise scrapall and I are gonna get very acquainted. So, I do use mods, could a mod cause this? I mean it's on a global scale.
  9. Have you done a clean save? I have seen weird things happen in this game, a clean save has generally helped me in the past. But I also had to start over as well.
  10. I play Skyrim and FO4 just fine on my laptop on ultra. I have an 850M in my laptop and have had no issues. I do know that if you have your nvidia settings with vsync on it will drop fps rates quickly. I have everything on application controlled. Not saying that this is the answer, just an FYI.
  11. What happens when you start a new game? This won't overwrite your current game. Unfortunately the texture bug has been around awhile. I have experienced it as well, I just found a save that didn't have that issue. And I went back about 15 levels to. Also, if you have opted-in for survival Beta, Opt-out and see what happens.
  12. Do you have any mods installed? Is you game up to date? This mod/temporary fix may help you; http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/808/?
  13. Make sure all mods are listed in the plugins.txt. It's located at c:\users\yourname\AppData\Fallout4\plugins.txt; this file contains a list of all mods that you currently have installed. I had to make my plugins.txt file read-only. Just disabling them and re-enabling them in nexus wil make the plugins.txt file complete. But they may disappear again. But, if you have a huge list like I do, I just copy the DLClist into the plugins list. If I recall you don't copy the Robots.esm to the new list. Make the file Read-only when done. Then you load up the current save game. If issues persist, you may have to go back a few saves, to fix the error. Do note If you do make the plugins text file Read-only, it cannot be changed by Nexus, therefore not completely installed. Uncheck it when installing another mod. I also saw that if you opted-in the Survival Beta, Mod functionality is disabled and cannot be useed.
