  1. Introducing: Name: Rob Gender: Male Race: Half-Argonian Age: 35 Personality: Completely insane. Normally in one of three states of mind: a loud, warmongering drunk, a silent, mysterious figure who hides in the shadows, or the stereotypical figure of a madman, talking loudly to himself in public and insulting others in plain earshot. Phys. Char.: Wears an outlandish design of wide-bottomed shorts, heavy leather boots, and bits of apparently orcish armor sewed in to a tight, shirt made of a red cloth. A mask and bandages cover his head from view, though a few tufts of spiky dark red hair poke through. Combat: Either bashes their faces in with a large iron club or slits their throats with a dagger at his side.
  2. I believe that the best games are Super Metroid (for general gameplay), Morrowind (for plot etc.) and aside from that, all the games you said that I've ever played.
  3. </begin rant> Personally, even though I am clearly in the minority, I think it could be awesome. The people who posted before me have a point, leveling would be an issue. The same is true for modding (obviously) and the general stupidity of players. I think it'd be cool if an ascension system was implemented, so as soon as you die (of old age(high level) you are reincarnated in another plane of Oblivion ie. Boethia or Azura's realm. New restrictions would have to be placed on spells, damage etc. so that you can't have a level one master of every skill in the game, like making you unable to learn more (level up skills) until you level up. So if you can level up twice but choose not to, you cannot improve your skills. Modding could be handled by making a list of items creatures, etc. to be voted upon by users to determine new additions to the game. Hopefully, you could chose between a modded an unmodded list of servers, and possibly between types of models (modded, fantasy, modded, realistic etc.). If you play without a certain model or texture, a default sword or piece of armor appears instead. For scripted effects (bowsway, immersive caves, etc.) or other changes should be server specific, or, if not cheats, isolated to only your computer. No editing the leveling system though. The stupid people can be quite aggravating, but filters could be made to remove or change any stupid words. "lol" or any variant of it could be changed to "ha", and "1337" can be changed to "pathetic", as most people who use that phrase are. </end rant> I'd love to see a more community active group of players, player ranks and economics, etc. One thing I wouldn't like to see is fast travel. Apart from the reason that it's cheat-like, it would ruin economics. Why pay four gold in one town if you can go to another instantly and by it for three? That would allow for merchant classes. Player formed guilds would be sweet too. Pretty much like what I've heard about Eve. A virtual, medival, sandbox.
  4. Honestly, I can agree with most everything on this list. MW was a good game, and I liked the realism of the quests. However, Oblivion has far better systems in general motions; one example I did not see is that the MW sneaking had the "if you can't see them, they can't see you" mentality - made it too easy to steal everything. However, the skills and quests are seriously limited in OB, possibly due to the amazing graphics. I have to agree with the sentiment that the game is, in essence, a beta . Addition of Guilds from MW would be great, though no one seems to want to bother. This would really help replay value if they are implemented correctly. I, too had the feeling of "OK, I've done everything, now what?". Also, I do like armors to be more varied, though I believe that we should focus more on adding armors from previous games. Through an enormous amount of scripting it is possible to add skills, and I would be greatly pleased if someone decided to add a set or two of armors meant for medium armor skills. Some of the things people are complaining about are already incorporated into mods (like short blade). Overall, I'd say that the things that need most to be worked on in OB are the outfits and the quests.
