Anything that brings back the "paper doll" view of your character while sorting inventory is a winner for me.

34 hours in... I was skeptical of the combat at first, it felt too overpowered and "mashy". But now that I've started to level up my 2-handed, 1-handed and blocking perks, there is an incredible amount of depth to the combat. My character is using no magic whatsoever (this wasnt so much an intention, just became obsessed with the weapon mechanics first up), and combat is becoming more and more complex. Ever direction you move in while striking (quick or power strikes) has a different move, and shield bashing/multiple target perks allow you to wade into a throng of enemies like a true Nord. And it rocks in 3rd person, which I diddnt expect. I only use 1st for looting, conversation and archery now.

Thanks for your insight! In the interest of info for those who haven't played yet, it does call for a measured retort, however: Not true, try it again. But I agree that the implementation, especially in character creation is clunky sometimes. No real improvement from Oblivion there. I am yet to experience ugly shapes and textures as you have, but to say that it was better in Ob is just baffling! Sure aesthetics are subjective, but I think you are just plain wrong here. It's prettier than Ob, and by A LOT. There's this thing called role-play which makes all that ambiguity kind of fun... And its the reason there are so many TES fans here. I agree, it could never live up to the hype. I predict you will return to it with lower expectations and suddenly find yourself engaged in a new way.

Hi haven't had a chance to explore all the graphics options yet, but I have absolutely no fps problems playing at "high" 2560x1600. "Ultra" gives me stutters when outdoors. HD5870

I prefer to play most games as hard as possible, I just like the punishment and the sense of achievement once victory is attained. Also most games seem too easy at the "normal" setting and if the game is worth playing I like it to last a little longer. But I hate a tedious button-mash for its own sake. I know there has been some speculation over whether the settings affect just hitpoints, or leveling of monsters or other elements. Do we have any solid info or is it still just speculation?

Actually, I'm 19 and I have a job in the army. I can't afford the game because my mother got fired (the company fell apart) and my dad lost his leg in the war so he can't work. That means I have to work so that we can pay our bills. I share an internet connection with my neighbour, I fixed his car and he allowed me to connect to his router. My friend pre-ordered the game and he will give it to me because the game costs 50 euros and his mechanic told him he will have to pay him 150 euros so he can fix his bike, and I told him I'll fix it if he gives me the game. I don't have the money, but I'm a great mechanic so I trade my knowledge for the things I like. Good for you Werne. Debates on the ethics of piracy and its impact on huge companies like Bethesda seem petty in comparison.

That's what search filters are for, I don't want you or anyone else telling me what mods I can install in my game. I'm personally not into the anime and sexual mods, but I never found any trouble sourcing the stuff I am into.

Remember they have confirmed that the game uses DX11 for performance gains? This should relax my worries about optimization, but why the he'll haven't we seen video proof that a PC version even exists?
