  1. I have two registered copyrights one for a book another for an article. All in all around $140 to get them registered through the library of congress. Now that I know its cool to use others work for my own ... how do I go about tweaking the clothing items? Is this something an novice can do or does this take time?
  2. I found a mod that has a cool pair of boots that I'd think look good on my Angel of Death chick (awesome character I made I mean she's not a mod but I'd like to think she's an Angel of Death.) First how would I go about getting just the boots from the mod when the mod author has been banned? I'm not going to republish this work however I don't like tweaking people's stuff without talking to them first ... even if its for personal use and would never be published. I own two copyrights and they aren't cheap so I have a deep and profound respect when It comes to dealing with other people's work. Anyway I digress. Is there a simple process for a complete novice like me or is this something for a professional to do? Thank for taking the time to read this.
  3. I'd say drum because well. I like sending a lot of ammo down range That's just me.
  4. I'll look for that. I've used the various rockets and tiny tots (my personal favorite) to take the enemy. I hardly use any rockets; however the hive rockets are pretty cool. There's just not enough enemy for me to use those things. I would like to thank you all for taking the time to give me your input and suggestions.
  5. Oh, cool! Any ideas how to get a mortar to work? I mean its like own personal artillery. Of course it make it more challenging if the enemy had it. ... Walking along and then ::::whhhiiiiiissssstttttlllllliiiiiinnnnnnnngggggggg::: BOOM!
  6. Cool thank you for taking the time to give me some info on that. Just to make sure I understand you clearly. ED-E's sensors detect what's in other cells but what is being detected hasn't loaded yet. So if there were a way to target them I couldn't hit them?
  7. I'm no modder. However I like to help when I can. Here's what I found that may be what you're looking for. Hope this helps. Open Radio by LadyAubrie http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/44335 Radio Free Wasteland by Doros http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/37655
  8. So I'm traveling with ED-E and I see all the hostiles around me ... but they are out of range. Do you think it would be possible to make a mortar tube? I'm sure about the animation side of things but having a mortar tube should be awesome. *phoomp* :::long whistling::: KABOOM!! 40xp awarded. Little smiley face appears. Rain of Death ... Kill enemies with long range Mortar round!
  9. I'm no modder and when I looked in the Geck the only thing that came up megaton was burks house and nothing else with what you are looking for. However here's a list of some players homes that a rugged feel to them maybe one these could help you out. http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=38372 This is located in Primm http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=35036 This is located near the Yangtze Memorial Hope this helps. If I were to play around the geck I could come something but it wouldn't be great because I don't know what I'm doing.
  10. The one thing that bugs the crap out of me about fallout is that you can only have one weapon out. But when they do the scenes of the vault dweller walking away, you have a pistol in the holster, a knife on the boot, ammo over your shoulder and have a rifle out. Your character looks so awesome in the cut scenes but so lame in the game.
  11. Underground hideout mod has a "gun collectors" wall. It also sorts out all of inventory into the containers(if you wish). But yes it has a wall in the armory section that allows to place your weapons up for display. There is also a trophy room area and a display area that allows you display the armors you've collected. A great mod. With what you're looking for, and many other incredible features as well. http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=37884
  12. What would give you the warlord feel?
  13. The New Vegas story line is okay. However I'm requesting a mod that allows one to not be a mere errand boy/girl for different factions; but allows one to be a player in the deadliest game; Warfare. The goal is quite simple. One could help a faction such as the Legion, NCR, etc. or one could form their own faction and take towns over, research technology and sell it, defend towns, and recruit soldiers. This mod would effectively allow the player to change the Mojave how ever they want with the aid of their own army. I've contacted an expert with such mods to see if this one is possible. J3X, the creator of the Enclave Commander mod had this to say about it. "Yes, it's very possible to create it. Buying units, technology (what weapons your soldiers have), keep track of what towns the player own & receive money from towns is just some extra numbers that needs to be put it somewhere." He mentioned other problems such as balancing, and having NPCs react properly when a town is being captured. He then suggested the use of flags. When a player activates a flag in the town center they would cause enemies to spawn and assault the player. With his permission this is his advice on how to the mod could work. Unfortunately I don't have the necessary skills to make such a great mod. Adding special dialogue to the conquered NPCs would probably work something like this (I'm not a dialogue expert); one would add one or several lines ("Thank for protecting us") as a generic greetings dialogue for every town in the game with the condition that: 1. The NPC is a member of that towns faction and 2. that the player have captured that town. One must also make sure that this dialogue is rightly prioritized so it won't prevent any quest dialogue. The mod can be made using the G.E.C.K. and would probably not even require the script extender. One might need to either create some new models for the 'flag' or retexture some existing flag so Nifskope and some image editing program might also be needed. It's not really hard to create the base system, it only needs a lot of work for all the towns one should be able to capture. The rest is cream on the top and can be as complex as the creator desires. If one would start to make the mod I would recommend starting with creating a way to track all the numbers (what towns the player control, his current tech-level (!?) & his founds). A quest script would work here, and some way of telling this info to the player (item in his inventory that pops up a message when used?). Then I would create the flag which would be an activator with a script attached. Or maybe two flags, one for not captures and one for captured. The uncaptured flag's script would work something like this; The player activates it (or in some other way tells that he is going to attack the town). The flag switches to combat state and starts spawning waves of soldiers attacking the player. The soldiers would be spawned at some linked reference markers one can place in the gameworld. The player must remain within a certain radius from the flag (and kill all attacking soldiers) until a timer runs out. If he fails then the flag resets and the player might need to wait some days until he attacks again. If the player manages to hold his ground then the flag switches place with a captured town flag. The captured town flag's script brings up a message that tells some info about the town and give the player the opportunity to recruit some soldiers if the player has assets for it. If one recruit then a NPC is spawned and some weapons is given to him. The soldiers can be very simple beings (for now), having only follow me, wait here, return to base (their town) or dismiss as available options. I would first and foremost like to thank J3x, the creator of so many great mods, for taking the time to give is advice. I would also like to thank whomever wishes to take on this project. And most importantly I wish to thank anyone who took the time to read this request. Thank you.
  14. I'd really like to see Enclave Commander meets Star Craft kind of thing. NO I don't want the freaking zerg to run throughout the wasteland. I just want a real time strategy game one my favorite genres to mixed with my favorite RPG Fallout New Vegas. What I'm looking for. Well the basics have been covered with Real Time Settler with placing buildings and what not where ever you want. I'm looking to take a town or open field and turn it into a base camp. Instead of chopping stuff down and doing it yourself; you pay for buildings with currency or SCUs. And I'm not talking a few hundred caps. I'm talking about big money. 5,000 for basic supply facilities, 750,000 for a research station, 4,000,000 for a mobile command center( a vertibird that allows you to command your troops while airborne.) Of course there are cost for recruiting and training soldiers and maintaining them and other equipment. And you may be thinking well how the heck to get 4,000,000 caps or dollars, or Standard Credit Units. Supply chains to other towns, taking contracts to protect a group merchants or take out something or someone, and mostly researching life improving technology and selling it to nearby regions. Securing strategic victory points will help with receiving more funds from the towns you control (well not control but towns that have joined your nation). The overall objective is to secure the Mojave for yourself and do what you want to with it. For better or for worse.
  15. I'm getting this from some fallout 2 dialog from the Enclave base. Have a picture of an Enclave trooper with the captain above his head. :: No chewing bubble gum over the com link:: Okay not really funny I admit so how about these. A picture with two vertibirds and a soldier in the center. The vertibirds are to the left and the right of the soldier. The caption: You are the future's guardian. A picture of an Enclave soldier saluting the flag. Captain. For Duty, Courage and Honor. Have a soldier in an Enclave dress uniform or something. A simple caption with Enclave and whatever their slogan is. I like your posters. Real soldiers obey orders is also a good poster. I don't think its cheesy. The time frame for this game is like the fifties so you would see that kind of thing back in world war two. Besides in Fallout 2 you got to dress up as an Enclave soldier and went around doing whatever. So maybe a solider was given an order and didn't follow it he could be a spy. I'm just saying. It's your world don't let people tell you what's possible and impossible in your world.
  16. Thank you for taking the time to post your input. And I agree with you that the rifle does look the RHINO. I too hope that it would possible to use the artillery strikes from Playing with Firepower by Talkie Toaster with a futuristic weapon. All I can do for now is wait and hope that someone would be kind enough to take on this project. Once again thank you taking the time to reply to the post.
  17. I recently came across this image of a futuristic sniper rifle. http://www.turbosquid.com/3d-models/3d-futuristic-sniper-rifle-model/621814. It looks cool and I was hoping someone could or has already made a similar weapon. However if someone wishes to make it. Would it be possible to tweak the barrel to look like a traditional barrel. or at least tweak it so it won't look as if you're running around with a black and silver box? Lastly, could it be possible for a futuristic sniper rifle to employ the select fire script and the forward observer mods, provided the authors give permission, so the sniper using the weapon can snipe targets and with the select fire call in an artillery strike on large groups of the enemy without getting out of the scoped view thus forcing the user to re-acquire the targets? I humbly thank you for taking the time to read this idea.
  18. Make it possible to repair any car? I remember playing fallout one and reading the captain that said "Even if the mechanic from the time frame the car was constructed where to magically appear by your side the both of you would not be able to fix this car." But back to the OP heck yeah. That's a good idea.
  19. I thought of this cool idea about things affecting your player and not just the drugs and items. Things such as how happy a character is.How clean a character is.and if they're bored. could affect how well the player performs. Being clean could have a charisma boost of a few points, Being happy or having a high moral can increase perception and give you more action points. Walking into a well furnished home could have a healing affect. Sex (if some choose the option) could could affect morale as well. Cigarettes (if some choose the option) could affect morale and give reduce cost of action points and perhaps calm rattled nerves and improve accuracy. Listening to music can calm the player down and help them aim better. Eating a meal whether over an open fire or at an table can heal and increase morale and performance. Just an idea for someone to think about for Fallout4 if they want too.
  20. I'd be grateful if there was a parachute or some usable rope that can help a player negotiate terrain better or basejump? Thank you for taking the time to read this.
  21. Yeah I'll that. Thank you. Any suggestions on a door I could use?
  22. The reason I'm asking if its possible to make a square whole in the ground is because I'm wanting to make an underground landing pad for my vertibird. And then I'd like to have door close over it. I've requested this before but because everyone is focusing on Skyrim I have to learn how to do it myself. I could probably make the home part, no problem, its the secret landing pad thing I'm wanting to do. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
  23. Sure. Its all up to you. I like to think those that have their own Vertibird are in an elite class, a class more elite than the Tenpenny people. They have the ability to control the skies and rain death upon those on the ground.(In fact I mentioned on another forum that they could do something with Vertibirds such as a quest or something where the people who have vertibirds can transport people, goods and services from town to town to make money, or they could swoop down and jack caravans .... that idea got shot out of the sky.) But sure landing atop a water tower and descending down a hatch would work. Thank you for taking the time to read this and for taking interest in this request.
  24. I'm requesting two different things on the same thread just to save space. I also thank you for taking the time to read these requests First Request: Type 3 Outfit Request. I'm requesting a sexy outfit consisting of a short black dress and a black pair of over the knee boots and it would be neat if there a little thigh showing. Second Request: A personal Vertibird Base. I think this would be neat for those who have the Flyable Vertibird or any Vertibird mod for that matter. Its a simple player home with all the staples, storage, well lit, a place to sleep, companion friendly etc. However this home would also have the ability to hanger a Vertibird or at least have a landing pad It would be neat to go through some kind of security checkpoint before accessing the landing pad or the area the Vertibird is located. Its always bugged me that a Vertibird the player has never had a place to go and be safe from looters. My idea to hanger the Vertibird would be to have it land on a pad that is simular to hydroluc pad that proppeleld liberty prime above ground. Have it to where the player can trigger such a device to lowever the vertibird into the ground or raise above ground. Honoestly I'd like to have a place where I can land my vertibird on a protected landing pad and go from the secured landing pad into a nice home. Once again thank you for taking the time to read this thread and please have a nice day.
  25. I like that story. I think as the player progresses and the company grows the player could encounter problems such as the local caravan companies wanting to burn the train company down. And then can also be other things that attack the trains as they are in route. The west was tamed by the railroad in the past why couldn't the railroad help tame the Mojave? If a practical way to get this mod to work is found then the applications are endless. Players could trade with other settlements outside the Mojave. Or there could be a script that would allow one faction to stronger or weaker depending on who the player wishes to supply. Of course you don't have to have all of these things visible such as the factions. They can be an off map thing going on that we will never see however we can get awarded for our actions in various ways. Perhaps helping one faction take back their town will give the player money and access to new equipment such as a weapon or armor. Lastly making money is useless if you have nothing to show for it. So why couldn't the player build a mansion, piece by piece, in a per-designated area? Feel free to ignore this post. However I'm pleased that some of you like idea of controlling a railroad.
