I did use the exe installer. I had other nif tools installed before... may that be causing the problem?

I've installed the 3.8.0 plugin, but I don't see it in 3DS.

I couldn't find anything like that. Looks like f*****s from bethesda didn't want anybody to change it (Even ommiting that blocking the render is absolutely pointless).

Answering your question tho. You have to go every member of faction you want to change and edit his equipment.

No that's not what I asked at all, I don't see how you came to that conclusion either... Anyways, in case it's not clear I'll restate it, I want to say for example, take a standard BOS spawn with no power armor i.e. laser rifle brotherhood fatigues and combat armor, and make him spawn with an alien pistol and leather armor every time. This isn't what I want to do exactly, but it's simpler to understand I hope. I got to that conclusion cause you wrote it. You said that you want factinos to use specyfic equipment - and it works like that in the game. You didn't write you want to change the equipment they use.

You can do it with recursive function.

Why not just make a normal actor script and add it to every actor in the game?
