From Modder to Professional Level Designer - Interview and AMA
Graybark replied to BigBizkit's topic in Site Updates
Will you convert your Skyrim mod to SE? -
Yes, I read it all and yes it is interesting.
-
Is it not possible to add a custom category or am I missing something?

Downloaded Mods Now Have Two Records
Graybark replied to passionatepilgrim's topic in Vortex Support
I don't seem to have the issue anymore with the new version. What Zeridian is showing is not what the bug looks like. -
Yay!

Q about writing your own notes on a mod
Graybark replied to davidwalshireland's topic in Vortex Support
What version of Vortex are you using? I have 0.15.2 and Vortex saves the notes even after closing the application and also after the steps you list. I remember it not saving it a few versions back though. -
Might be referring to duplicate mods and not plugin files. The issue we are discussing in another thread.

Downloaded Mods Now Have Two Records
Graybark replied to passionatepilgrim's topic in Vortex Support
It seems to happen to me when I restart the app. I would install a mod, do something and close the app and upon opening it again, there would be a duplicate mod with an "Installation Time" of "seconds ago" that is funnily enough not installed. -
Have you tried clicking on things?
-
Displaying the name of the plugin could be useful. A similar nice-to-have would be to take you to the folder of the mod because mod name != folder name. We used to have that feature but now it only takes you the general mods folder.

Downloaded Mods Now Have Two Records
Graybark replied to passionatepilgrim's topic in Vortex Support
I had this weird thing happen to me. EVT Billboards and Engine Fixes created new instances even though the mods were installed hours ago. -
It's down to 10 seconds from 2 minutes with 370 mods on an SSD.

Downloaded Mods Now Have Two Records
Graybark replied to passionatepilgrim's topic in Vortex Support
It seems not. I just tried. I also don't think this has only to do with version numbers. Seems to be a bug. https://i.imgur.com/iouuhIk.png Simply downloaded this mod and it created two entries. Looks like it forgets that the archive it already associated with a mod and creates a new instance. It does not always happen though. What's more, you cannot remove the duplicate entry unless you remove the archive. In which case you will have to download the mod again when you want to reinstall. -
Downloaded Mods Now Have Two Records
Graybark replied to passionatepilgrim's topic in Vortex Support
I sometimes get duplicates as well but usually only notice afterwards since one will remain uninstalled. Have not been able to reliably reproduce it though. Removing one with "Remove archive" checked seems to solve it. -
Yeah, I have an SSD as well.

Is deployment really slow since the update for anyone else or is it just me?
-
I usually get this when I have xEdit open.

Just a heads up: It is the install order of Majestic Mountains and RWT that matters. The meshes of MM are supposed to overwrite the ones from RWT. This has nothing to do with plugin order since the mods come in a loose files version. The plugins do not conflict and MM should probably be loaded where LOOT recommends.

This is my thoughts about Vortex and feedback
Graybark replied to thunderlord2200's topic in Vortex Support
As of 8:00 am Central time on 5/17 mine still says 0.14.3 Then you do not have the latest version. Probably set to "Stable" channel. -
I solved the issue with one simple rule: tell Alternate Start to load after MLU. I do not understand this at all since the Alternate Start group is set to load after MLU by default. This is beyond me. Putting the patches in the same group does not work. It will keep reporting issues. Anyway, I am now without complaints.

Thanks. Not sure how that would translate into the issue I am having. Could you explain how to interpret this message, by the way? What is this back cycle and why are these plugins listed in this order? We should probably also have a way to clear our custom assignments. I have reversed all of my custom rules and it is still telling me that custom rules were involved. Could be a bug.

feature: added context (right-click) menu to tables
Graybark replied to kamikatze13's topic in Vortex Support
Well, I have been getting used to just use the buttons that I no longer need the right click :P -
Vortex introduced this new feature of LOOT where plugins are sorted by groups and no longer by priority.
