Thanks folks!
-
Nah, moving it around has no effect.
-
It's used to create Bashed patch. And I did create it.
-
Tried that. But found out what was causing it. It only crashed when I was trying to use a forge in Riverwood. So I disabled Expanded Towns and Cities - Riverwood and it worked. Now this sucks as I do like the mod. I'll probably just keep it and not use the smithy in Riverwood. However, if anyone has any idea about how to fix this, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks for the tip! I've moved Requiem and it's patches down in the load order and uninstalled UFO. But my game still crashes as I try to use a smithy. What else may I be missing?

Hello fine folks! I've started a new playthrough recently and the game crashes when I attempt to use a smithy. Would anyone happen to be able to check out my load order and point out any conflict causing this? Load order: Papyrus log:

This is ridiculous. I got the game to run perfectly with all the textures and mods. And ENB! It runs at amazing 30-50 FPS. But as soon as combat starts - it lags like hell. Am I missing something?

Hello folks! So I'm experiencing this issue with Skyrim - whenever I turn around bristly, I experience stuttering / lags / microfreezes. This mostly happens with any HD texture packs. Of course, I know texture packs have a performance hit, and I don't mind. But a) I have a rather decent rig (i7 2600k / 8GB / GTX690) and I should be able to play with some texture replacers (like Skyrim HD), and b) It's not like installing texture packs impacts my FPS too much. Getting down from 60 to 55 - no prob. But the lags / freezes when spinnint around are killing me. I see all the cool vids of people on Youtube playing with textures, ENBs and whatnot and not having this issue and it got me thinking that I'm missing something. Can anyone help me with this please?

Nah, something is most definitely out of place after all. As I proceeded installing mods carefully, this just happened again out of nothing. I installed Alternate Start to be able to quickly create characters and test the game. It runs smoothly at 50-60 FPS, and then all of a sudden drops to 5. I know my PC should be able to handle it all. And it does. But something is amiss. Something causes those drops. Something irrational that has to be fixed. I've spent so much time trying to get it to work.
-
So the funniest thing happened. In a desperate attempt to get this to work, I reinstalled Skyrim completely, cleared the inis and started testing the game adding mods one by one. The game ran just fine with stable 50-60 FPS even though I had several texture packs installed. Then at a certain point as I was stress-testing the game stability and ran all the way from Windhelm to Rorikstead, I decided to fast travel to Whiterun. And BAM! 4 FPS. Immideately I started removing mods, one by one. And you'll never guess which mod needed to be removed in order for the game to get back to normal. SC - Khajiits Improvement by ShinglesCat (my character is a khajitt). After several iterations (load the game in Rorikstead, fast travel to Whiterun) I was able to confirm this: when this mod is installed, fast travelling caused a severe FPS drop. Which is weird because this mod doesn't even have scripts or an .esp file. Just the textures. No idea why it could cause this. Maybe the texture size? The largest texture in this mod is 64 MB large while the largest one in a similar coverkhajiit mod is 16 MB large. Anyway, I'll keep installing mods and see if it all goes well from now on.

Disable SLI at the driver level and it will be better. I did so. It does give a general FPS boost, but does not solve the issue (check out the vid in my post above).

Hello! So I've checked Steam System info. It does display my system information properly. Now, monitors. I went to Nvidia Control panel and selected Maximize 3D Performance (instead of Activate all monitors) in Configure Multi-GPU tab. It did give a significant performance boost, but as I played for a minute or so, this issue occured. At a certain point it gave me a significant FPS drop as I looked in a certain direction. I made a vid: You know how when you run around Skyrim and new cells are being loaded, and while they are being loaded, your FPS drops for a brief moment and then goes back to normal? To me it seems like it just never gets back to normal. It's like I run around with 40+ FPS, reach a point where new cells are loaded, FPS drops for the duration of the loading, but stays low if I keep looking in that direction. I have not messed with uGridstoLoad. Now, I made screenhsots of driver settings in Nvidia Inspector: http://prntscr.com/1xgzic and http://prntscr.com/1xgzl4 Below is the Papyrus log for that game session: I closed all the application as you said, but the thing persists. Same for Steam offline mode. I hope that you can help me with all this info. Thanks again.

Hello, friend, and thanks for agreeing to help me out. I do not mind losing my saves. I only started a playthrough a few days ago. As to your questions, yes, without mods my performance is good. The issue occurs only when I start installing textures. I did not check the Steam information. Not sure what you mean. The game is installed via Steam and I've run it though Steam. I've never dealt with Nvidia inspector before. I googled it up and got it. Not really sure what to do next though - I do have two monitors, even though I play only on one of them. I am not overclocking. I am not using anything to stop applications. Nope, nothing to clock CPU/GPU in game. Yes, I have enable papyrus logging. I'll upload the log shortly. And then I'll try disable logging. I disabled Steam Overlay for Skyrim, but Steam is online. And yes, using native 1920x1080p. BOSS log: http://txtup.co/DAqoO (no unrecognized plugins) Skyrim INI: http://txtup.net/ZQuA8 SkyrimPrefs: http://txtup.net/jLlCy Nvidia settings: 1) http://prntscr.com/1xd3zi 2) http://prntscr.com/1xd42y I'm not sure if forums are the fastest way to go though. I appreciate your help, but can I contact you on Skype or something? Share screen so you can see everything for yourself?

Something is seriously wrong with my PC. I work in tech customer support, but I can't solve this. Skyrim starts to perform very poorly on my PC (i7 2600K 3.4GHz, GTX 690, 8GB). It either gives me really low FPS, or just randomly drops from stable 40 FPS to 5 FPS as I exit an interior cell (i.e. go from Ascadia's Cauldron back to Whiterun), or gets stuck on loading screen. This happens when I install ANY texture pack. I am not even talking about 4K textures. How come? Can someone help me please? I've made a clean install of the latest drivers, updated DX, applied INI tweaks for memory and CPU cores. I just don't know what else to do.

FPS drops to 1 when looking in a certain direction
SunnyTheCat replied to SunnyTheCat's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Alright, so it seems to be happening as I install graphical mods and as my Texture folder increases. I may be terribly wrong here, but this may occur as I install a, say, Skills Menu retexture mod. But why? I'm not even in that menu. Why would it cause FPS to drop so drastically? Not 1-2 FPS, but all the way down from 50 FPS to 1 FPS! -
FPS drops to 1 when looking in a certain direction
SunnyTheCat replied to SunnyTheCat's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
It seems to be caused by a mod. I tried re-installing the game and testing it out after each mod. But it just seems to occur randomly. -
Hello fine folks! Perhaps one of you can help me with this issue. Not sure what causes this. Upon cell transition, my FPS suddenly drops to 1 when I'm looking in a certain direction. Here are the steps leading up to this: 1) Create a new character with Alternate Start 2) Pick Stormcloak soldier 3) Leave the Palace of Kings 4) Enter the inn in Winterhold 5) Leave the inn 6) Leave the city through the main gate From this point on, if I keep looking in the direction I'm pointed at upon this cell transition, my FPS is always 1. If I look to the side, or up/down, it goes back to normal 50 FPS. Any idea what may be causing this?

Basically, I found this place in The Strip where the textures are disappearing depending on the view angle. Didn't find a solution to this with google, so figured maybe some of you fine folks will know what to do with this. http://youtu.be/Sc5e-0dPwOw I don't have any texture mods installed. Tried resetting archive invalidation with FOMM.

I removed that spell so it is no longer active. However, something similar has happened again. [masterambushscript < (04025F9D)>] is, in fact, dead, But the TrapSoul check failed or came back false Interestingly though, this did not happen at the moment of impact, but after 1 second or so. I'm a sad panda.
