I don't think it's the case. I do use Skyrim texture replacers, but this never occurs in Skyrim. I have no additional textures for Dragonborn, and yet this issue occurs on Solstheim.
-
Hello! Every now and then as I travel around Solstheim, the game fails to load high resolution textures/models and I end up walking around LOD textures/models. Is this a known issue? Is there a workaround?
-
I know this is not a mod discussion, but not being able to remove the mods .esp from the load list EVER is most definitely wrong.
-
Alright. But what does this mean from BOSS log: Bash Tag suggestion(s): {{BASH: Delev, Relev}} ?
-
To hell with it. Started a new game. Lesson learned. Always read author's readme and never ever use Footprints mod again.
-
Will do. I'd hate to have to start a new game ...
-
Dude, I SO don't want to start it all anew ... ( Will try playing and hope it will fix itself ... Well, yeah, all my fault. Disabling Footprints ESP is not supported. I put it into load order again and stopped the Footprints quest as instructed by the author. Could that maybe make the game stop looking for those bloody footprints?
-
Would unticking them in NMM suffice? Or should I uninstall them all completely? Cause I tried unticking all the mods from the load order. The game loaded and still crashed in the same place. Also, is it okay to undelete references after I've removed identical to master records and closed Tes5edit?
-
Alright, on it. Just a quick question (two actually): 1) In your last post you said 'you'll need to remove identical to master entries and undelete/disable deleted references'. I did remove identical to master entries, but I'm not sure about deleted references. How do I undelete/disable them? 2) What compatibility patches should I disable? Stuff like ReProccer?

Here's the log: Anything you can figure out from it? Cleaned all the dirty edits. Didn't help. But the game did become more stable it seems after I cleaned the dirty edits and removed the mods that *I think* were broken (according to the log above): More Dynamic Injuries and Enhanced Blood Textures. However the game still crashes in between Riverwood and Whiterun (on a bridge that leads out of Riverwood and behind the farm near Whiterun). I take it, there's a broken cell somewhere in between.
-
I've installed Wrye Smashed and checked for changed mods list. The only thing I removed was UFO mod and I don't think it can be causing this. I'm desperate (

Thanks! - I never installed SkyTest - I did make changes to .ini files, but the game seemed to be stable so far. I did not change uGridstoLoad - QuadCore i7, GTX690, 8GB. I did wait 10 days in interior cell and I did create a SKSE.ini as you instructed. And I still crashed. Any way to force clean cells? I know that dirty edits are no good, but so far they caused no problem. I've read that cleaning them can break the game completely, so I didn't dare do it yet. However, since the earlier game save doesn't crash, does this mean that the problem is with some mod I may have uninstalled? I remember there was some tool for Morrowind that cleaned savegame mod dependencies. Is there something similar for Skyrim? Well this is just great. Only very early savegames load and don't crash, and I don't remember removing any scripted mods since then really. But I don't think I will re-play from that long ago anyway. There's gotta be a way to either force purge cell of mod dependencies or at least check the savegames to see what mods they were made with.
-
Looks like you are right. I did load a rather old save game and I went to the same location and didn't crash. Is there any way to clean the save file of the dependencies? Or can I learn what mod was it that I disabled that does this?

There's been a topic like this before, but its solutions didn't work for me. I'm not new to modding, but this time I'm desperate. Skyrim crashes in certain locations. Currently I've pinpointed two of them: south of Whiterun when trying to travel to Riverwood and north of Riften. I've tried disabling all the mods (via NMM, just disabled all the active plugins) I've tried removing all the custom meshes / textures from Data/ folder. I've validated game files. I've run BOSS and there were no errors I've tried waiting a week for a cell to clear, but to no avail. What else can I do? Please help.

I still don't understand HOW they break the engine's neck. -

This can also be caused by A More Beautiful Skyrim Experience mod. -

Looks like I've fond the mod causing this. 'twas SDO - Skyrim Distance Overhaul. Disabled it, played for a few hours - so far no prob. -

Or not. Again, have not added any mods, just tried to load a game. Looking at task manager on 2nd screen - the memory consuption just goes up as the game loads and then just stops. Curses! -

I seem to have solved it. What I did is I uninstalled the game and deleted everything related to it. I installed it anew and started activating mods. 3-5 at a time. Every time I'd run the game and check if it loads various savegames. When the majority of my mods has been installed, I made a backup of the whole game folder and of NMM Install Info folder. Then I went on adding more mods. As soon as the issue would occur again, I'd revert to my backup. This seemed to have worked.
