I'm having some serious problems when using Bandicam to limit my FPS to get rid of that nasty shuttering when inside of caves and houses. However, when I enable Bandicam to limit the FPS, I get some weird spell casting issues. If I attempt to summon anything it takes forever for the creature to summon. When I cast the summon spell, nothing happens at first, no sound or visuals. Then about after 10 to 20 seconds the creature will summon in, with sound and visuals. I've tried changing the FPS limit to differing values, such as 55, 59, 40, 44, 37, and the results are the same. Only when I disable Bandicam, does the problem go away, but then I'm left with the horrible shuttering in caves and houses. Does anybody have any ideas/thoughts?

Well, I decided to update to 1.3, wish that I hadn't. I'm getting on average about 10 FPS less than before. And I noticed that my 4 core i7 is now only being used about 30%. Before the patch the game would use 50% of my CPU... [EDIT] I got back to 1.1 and it fixed my FPS problem. Now my CPU usage is back up to 50% and I'm getting consistent 60 FPS outdoors. Looks like Steam is staying in offline mode from now on...

Both my wife and me use a wired xbox 360 USB controller and neither of us are experiencing this problem. Probably not much help but it sounds like it's something specific to your setup. EDIT: And we're both running on the new patch too.

You mean Khajiits? The Khajiits have a claws racial power. And I'd be interested to know how these work.

A toggle button for Khajiit night eyes would be perfect. And you're right, this is a clear case for a mod because, more than likely, it will be a greater power that you can only use once a day ....

Argh!! Khajiit +10 Sneak, +5 Alchemy, One-Handed, Archery, Lockpicking, Pickpocket Night Eye : Improved night vision for 60 seconds. Claws : Khajiit claws do 15 points of damage. Night eye for 60 seconds??? And if this is like a greater power and it can be only used once a day... it would be completely worthless. However, if it can be used back to back, that would be cool. Kind of annoyed me in Oblivion when playing a Kahjiit, whenever night came it was always blue night vision. The claws thing sounds pretty cool, and the skill bonuses will go along well with my assassin build I'll be doing.

LOL nope, steam releases go by reigns not time zones. i dont know why he says that. Yup, that would appear to be the case; Skyrim unlocks at 2 am for me. So your Centeral Time as well? Nope; Mountain Time, United States. Central would be 3 am, if it works how we're guessing it does... Actually Central time should be 2 am, once day light savings time is figured in. We get back an hour on the 6th which pushes out the unlock time 1 hour.

It appears that steam has set the unlock time to 12 am pacific time. So that's 2 am central time. :( Mountain Time? Me too, what state? Ohh mountain time folks. :) I'm up in the mountains, in Wyoming. :)

It's 12 am for the west coast. You have to take into account daylight savings time which pushes the clock back 1 hr the weekend before skyrims release. So we actually gain 1 hr, hence the time discrepancy. Either way, still sucks :(

its unlocks at pst?!?!?! FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU i wanted to play it at 9pm Seriously, I know. I'm kinda upset about it. I was really looking forward to playing at 10 pm, even 12am wouldn't be all that bad. But 1 am?? I do have to work on 11.11.11 so looks like it won't be till later on that Friday.

Keep in mind that even though you are running it through an HDMI, the 360 will only be pushing 720p. Then you TV does the upscaling to 1080p. So the source material is still 720p. Honestly, I can't really tell the difference between using component cables or HDMI with my 360. There's a tiny bit of difference, but not much to speak of. So, using an HDMI will look better then using component on the 360 but probably not nearly as good as a PC that is running the game on high or ultra settings.

I really hope that Skyrim supports eyefinity out of the box. Actually have some peripheral vision in a game really adds to the immersion for me.

Well that's music to my ears. I picked up the CPU about 1 1/2 yrs ago when it was top of the line, so I figured it'd be laggin by now. BTW, I'm so jealous on your tri-fire config you got going. Would love to have something like that :D

I spent about 600$ upgrading my rig to ensure I that I can run skyim on max settings. As of now I'm running Quad core i7 920 OC'd to 4 GHz 12 GB of 1600 MHz RAM 2x 5870 2 GB with Gelid Icy Vision v2 coolers 120 GB SSD Kinda wish I had a better CPU but, I imagine I still should be good to run skyrim on Ultra settings

Ha, I just noticed that, but that's what Pete put his his tweet. I imagine that he accidentally put 2GB twice when talking about ram
