You could have the armor use the same slot as the glove. Another option, though a bit drastic, is to have the model entry for the pipboy glove be blank thus making it permanently invisible.

Most likley because Obsidian didn't keep their reference ID's consistant between patch changes.

Sometimes Steam will remove the games' registry entry for whatever reason and afterwards nvse can't find it since that's where it looks for where it's installed.
