  1. Simply put, I walked through a door in a dungeon, and all of a sudden, 9 achievements were unlocked, I got a wierd error message, and then my computer crashed. Right now, I'm terrified of getting my account banned for getting those achievements the way I did. I can see steam saying that I cheated. Is there anything I can do? I'm kinda afraid to contact steam.
  2. Turns out I just had to wait for a few days for the leaders to come back.
  3. Simply put, I am now the leader of the Companions, but I'd like to finish the Radiant Quests. How do I do so? Who do I talk to? Thank you for your time.
  4. I'm for all of those, as long as you can find a way to actually make it all fun.
  5. Ok, this might be a stupid idea, but it's something I happened to think of. Maybe, depending on your race like in D&D, you can start with an extra feat..er, perk, or in this case 2 perks. Well, you don't start with one with one. hmm. OK, this idea needs work. ... My main idea is this, Maybe every 5 levels, you can choose 3 perks that you could at level 1, Level 10 3 perks you could at level 5 or lower, and level 15 3 perks you could at level 10 or lower, and so on. In the end, you'll have 123 perks. Maybe make level 25 and 50 give 4 instead of 3, and you'll end up with 150 perks.
  6. Yep, that was the problem. I was a female child. The only reason I chose to be a child was because I was shocked by how well done this one child related mod was. That said, for some reason I always found it to be a lot easier to pull off headshots as a child, don't know why. Anyways Thanks Werne. I am now in Broken Steel :D
  7. Ok, I'll try to make this real simple, while trying to be as spoiler free as possible. I have the GOTY edition, and I just beat the main campaign. Saw the ending, and then it comes back to me, but for some reason I'm still in the same room as I was right before I did what I need to do at the end of the game. I have tried both entering the code myself, and having Fawkes do it. I've also tried closing and restarting Fallout 3, as well as gone back to different save files. Is there anything I can do, or am I skrewed?
  8. If the girlfriend of the topic creator is reading this, I have a message to give you. For what it's worth, I personally find the sounds that spiders make in most games to be among one of the most annoying sound related issues that the games have, and I'd love it if this game was playable without any insect or insect-like enemies. I myself have serious issues with anything the size of a bug that I recognize as poisonous, whether it be arachnid or otherwise, and will pretty much run away screaming for help if I ever find a big group of any of them. Just want you to know, you're not alone.
  9. First of all, that all sounded really interesting. That said, I'm kinda confused on what this is exactly, and I really want to know what it is.
  10. ...se hear me out. I honestly don't know if anyone but I cares, but there doesn't seem to be a single LP for Morrowind that actually finishes, or at least finishes more than the main quest. I myself have always been annoyed by this. Morrowind is one of my top 10 favorite RPGs of all time, and a game like this deserves to be able to be viewed in what I consider its full glory. I think a part of the reason for why this hasn't been attempted by anyone is the way Morrowind is. The plotting down of how one would do an LP is something that has to happen. Doing an LP in Morrowind even semi-blindly is just not something that's ever going to happen. I've watched a lot of blind LP's, and all of them seem to spend 90% their time doing absolutely nothing, and they're the ones that especially go nowhere. Well, after another dissapointing day with my best friend in the world cutting our time with Dungeon Fighter Online shorter than we had imagined, I could not sleep, and I came up with this brainstorm. The idea is not to complete every quest in the game, but instead both the Main Quest and every FACTION quest in the game (minus the vampire quests). Sure, add the vampire quests if you want them, but they never interested me. You don't get anything out of them other than Eltonbrand, and Goldbrand is more than powerful enough to take out almost everything in 1-3 hits. Now I'm aware that this plotting is FAR from perfect, but you know what? It's what an LP needs: a start. Let me make this very clear. If you're reading this, and actually know - not just believe, but actually know - that you have the focus and willpower to complete this project, feel free to edit things however you wish. I claim no ownership to this project. I would, however, not mind some acknowlegement that I helped you out, but that's completely optional. Or hey, maybe you see many glaring errors that I in my insomnia didn't seem to notice. As I type this, I realize that there could be several errors in how I do things. Feel free to change things around and make your own ideas from this. But please, be contstructive. Anyway, like I said, I'll admit I don't have the willpower or focus to complete this task, but if someone else is willing to do this, here's how I would do it. Race: I'd be a Redguard, for Adrenaline Rush is GODLY! Skills: Long Blade, Block, Armorer Medium Armor, and Heavy Armor (perhaps Restoration, and maybe Speechcraft to make certain parts of game easier). Not sure what else to use, but these are the basics. Balanced Cheating: To save time, start with 70 Personality, but don't raise it past that (although the helm that ups personality is ok because it's obtained so late in the LP). Maybe a bonus to Speechcraft as well. Personal Desire: Cheat Join all 3 houses, so you can see all of the faction quests (which is useful because this LP is doing all these quests). I'm not sure how'd you balance this out though. Mods used (besides superficial ones): A Good Place to Stay, so you can teleport away at any time and have a place to sleep and all the storage you'll ever need. The Belt of Flying and Landing would be great as well, so you can levitate at a decent speed at any time and fall safely. Exploits Used: Constantly go to the Creeper to sell things for full price up to to 5000, so you can exploit the game's skill trainers. Item Stuff: Enchant a Ring so that it opens all locks. Get combined items that give over 100% chameleon. Preparation before starting the Main Quest: Steal Warehouse Key and taunt kill guard in excise office for full Imperial Steel Armor. Go to Balmora. Steal Sword of White Roe, and use it for most of the game, so you do a great amount of damage, but at the same time you don't kill most things in one hit, ensuring a good amount of skill gain for your weapon and armor skills. Go to Balmora. Talk to Caius Cosades. Taunt Kill Hlallu guard for armor. Go to join every guild in the game, maybe do the first 2 or Fighters Guild quests, if only for the money, but that's it for the factions. Maybe go to a couple specific caves to get things such as a Mentor's Ring, the Thief Ring and etc, but again, nothing faction-based. Then go through rest of Main Quest. Stuff to do after the Main Quest: After main quest is complete, you easily have a set of Indoril Armor, which is awesome. Go through the House Redoran Quests up to where you get the Redas Robe of Deeds, but don't turn it in. Put the faction on hold. Do the Tribunal Temple for the best Armor in the game. Maybe do the Mages Guild, then do the whole Fighters and Thieves Guilds in order to complete them the "right" way. Complete House Telvanni for all the awesome rewards the faction has to offer. Complete House Hlallu. Then finish off Redoran, getting the Robes of Deeds back afterward. Do Imperial Cult, then do Imperial Legion. Finally, do all the Daedric God Statue quests, starting with Azura's Star and ending on the highest note, getting Goldbrand. Move onto Tribunal. Oh, and one more thing. This is a long, complex, involving game. Briefly refresh the audience's memory of what's been done recently - maybe once every 10 videos or so, or maybe once every 5th or so of the way between each of the factions quests. Well, that pretty much covers it all. Thank you for taking the time to read all of this. I realize that as I typed all of this up that there's a good chance that I'm lucky if one other person cares about someone attempting this project, but I really do have a dire hope that this will happen. Oh, and I want to thank my editor (who wishes to remain anonymous) for getting rid of all the typos and other errors in my English. I also want to thank pretty much all of the regulars at the NEXUS chat room. I don't think I've ever felt more welcome, and I appreciate all of you, especially TokyoBleach. You're like a little sister to me, and while I don't consider myself to be a good person, I know I'm a better person regardless just by being around you from time to time. Thank you for being such an awesome person. I really hope that you get to be a mod of the chat rooms one day. You're very active there, and I don't think there's a single regular that doesn't like you. Thanks again, and goodnight.
  11. Edit: Ok...I have a lot less space for a topic title than I was led on to think. Anyways, this is meant to be before the The Waters of Life quest. Just wanna make sure I understand the main storyline of the game so far. Please, under no circumstances tell me anything that is going to happen in the future, unless I say that I've passed it, and if you're not 100% sure if certain information is past where I am, please, don't post it. I know that this is the spoiler forum, and I can't stop you. I guess I'm asking to impose everyone who reads this upon their good nature. Oh, and sorry for the way this was written. I'm half awake right now. Ok, so your dad, before you were concieved was on a mission with your mother and several other scientists to create an endless amount of purified water. You were born, and your mother died in childbirth, and then your dad decided to get the both of you to vault 101 so that YOU would have a safe life. You turned into an adult, and your dad decided that you are able to take care of yourself now, so he decided to continue Project Purity. Your dad made his way through Megaton, GNR, and Rivet City, but really couldn't get any further on Project Purity, until he went to vault 112, where he met Dr. Braun, and while he learned of the GECK, which he would use to complete project purity, but unfortunately, Dr. Braun went insane, and did all the tortorous acts, and that's when you have to save both yourself and your dad. That's the main storyline up to where I am, right?
  12. Odd. Have you tried looking in the task manager t see if there are any Fo3 related processes active? A simple reboot will do the trick too of course. God I feel stupid. Turns out that I just can't auto-sort FOMM when I have FO3 running. I always have them it set up when the game is running in case the game crashes, to save time. Thank you.
  13. Hi, um, I think this is my first time posting here after at least a year or so. Anyways, I keep getting what are crashdump related issues when trying to auto sort my files in Fallout Mod Manager for Fallout 3. I was told to ask for help here, as I'm not sure what else to do. Here's the crashdump info: Tuesday, July 19, 2011 - 7:37:25 AM Fomm 0.12.6 OS version: Microsoft Windows NT 5.1.2600 Service Pack 3 System.IO.IOException: The process cannot access the file 'D:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Fallout 3\data\fallout3.esm' because it is being used by another process. at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath) at System.IO.FileStream.Init(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, Int32 rights, Boolean useRights, FileShare share, Int32 bufferSize, FileOptions options, SECURITY_ATTRIBUTES secAttrs, String msgPath, Boolean bFromProxy) at System.IO.FileStream..ctor(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, FileShare share, Int32 bufferSize) at System.IO.File.OpenFile(String path, FileAccess access, SafeFileHandle& handle) at System.IO.File.SetLastWriteTimeUtc(String path, DateTime lastWriteTimeUtc) at Fomm.MainForm.importLoadOrderToolStripMenuItem_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripItem.RaiseEvent(Object key, EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripMenuItem.OnClick(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripItem.HandleClick(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripItem.HandleMouseUp(MouseEventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripItem.FireEventInteractive(EventArgs e, ToolStripItemEventType met) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripItem.FireEvent(EventArgs e, ToolStripItemEventType met) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStrip.OnMouseUp(MouseEventArgs mea) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripDropDown.OnMouseUp(MouseEventArgs mea) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WmMouseUp(Message& m, MouseButtons button, Int32 clicks) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.ScrollableControl.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStrip.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripDropDown.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.OnMessage(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam)
  14. I've checked both ign, gamefaqs, and gamespot, along with several other sites,. I can't find anything at all that would help me out, which is why I'm asking here.
  15. Let me get straight to the point: I've been through the game a few times, and the pilgrimage that you have to take to advance through the first part of the tribunal temple, well it always seems to drag the game down more than anything else. I'm looking for either a mod that makes it go by faster, or maybe some console code which automatically advances the quest. Thanks you for your time.
  16. Sounds pretty interesting, but something tells me that there's some bugs in it.
