  1. The patch yet again, unfortunately did nothing.
  2. Hmm driver change did not do anything to change the situation.
  3. i tried em, they didnt work. So far no fix has worked.
  4. Just keep choosing the install option, after 20-30 tries it will work. Sadly those audio drivers didn't work for me though, good luck. Yeah after the 30-somethingth try it worked, but the audio drivers did not fix the problem :'( . I give up, i'll still follow the thread but this game can go to hell.
  5. ok dude what the f***. Im trying to let these god damn drivers install and windows security keeps bitching about it cant verify the publisher of the driver software. i cant finish the install with this s*** butting in, how do i turn this off?
  6. Im downloading the AC97 drivers, i too downloaded the HD ones. Good gracious almighty god let this work. I've been following this thread since page 1 man
  7. Ok, guys. So i decided to Overclock my GPU and so having done that, the game has NOT crashed. BUT! What happens instead is, the same color disfiguration or whatever happens but then it reverts back to normal. When it reverts, the game plays at a snail pace for some reason. Terrible framerate that needs a reopening of the game. There is no hard crash but the problem is FAR from fixed. and kbaudis, patch 3 did not do anything to help our problem.
  8. In MIS Afterburner, core clock and shader clock are "linked" to each other by default (but can be turned off manually, which I did not do but just to mention) What I did (and it worked for me) - is undeeclocked by about 10-12% the core clock. It automatically brought down shader clock by same percent of course. Didn't touch memory clock at all. Try googling tips for underclocking your specific card - what I did I found on the web the tips, might be some otherway around for yours. Hope this helps! sweet thanks bro
  9. thanks for the link btw, but just to make sure. When I'm underclocking my GPU, is there a ratio i have to keep the shader/memory/core clocks at with each other? Core clock max :1350Mhz (on 675Mhz) Shader clock max: 2916Mhz (on 1458Mhz) Memory clock max : 1320Mhz (on 900Mhz) Im not too sure how much to under/overclock what
  10. yeah im starting to think it might be a 32-bit 64-bit problem. Im on windows 7 64 though so idk.
  11. Even though I've been through with trying to fix bethesda's B.S. for weeks now I can't keep myself away from this thread in hopes that I will one day be able to play again. To the above: Read the damn thread. I know its 100+ pages but in the last 10 or 15 you can see that people have already tried all of the above to no avail. Those of you who *think* a sound update worked are fooling yourselves and I can almost guarantee that, like judgement day, you've only delayed the inevitable. Also try and remember that the same kind of pc crash can be triggered by different problems, example: Bone chill passage will freeze for 90% of people who enter it while full screened and yet this is not the same problem as the random full pc freezes/black screens. The random black screens and freezes are very likely something in the quest coding that, as far as I know, can only be fixed by bethesda. So back to waiting I go. Just would like to see some more *serious* posts on here as opposed to people who have only read the last couple pages and want to share their "fixes" with the world when the same "fixes" are mentioned every 10 pages. If you know how to mess with code and get into the guts of the game, kudos and please post your progress, if you're just messing with .ini files and desperately trying .dll's please hold your post until you've succeeded in stabilizing skyrim for at least a day or two. ( - fyi I was able to play skyrim fine for the first week before experiencing this game ruining issue) I've been playing a game called APB: Reloaded, some members of the community have the exact same problem explained in this thread (Screen turns black, sound repeats, must hard-reboot computer), the solution to these problems for APB was to disable the REALTEK audio card but we all know that playing without sound is boring (And Skyrim doesn't allow you to play without sound-card) so I upgraded my REALTEK drivers from their page and I haven't crashed ever since. I wouldn't post a solution (Temporary, of course. The real solution must come from Bethesda) without at least playing the game for two days (Thursday, Friday and most saturday) without a crash on both games. Haven't crashed yet. Would you mind posting the link for the RealTek drivers? I was tinkering with anything REALTEK and i know that it DOES cause problems with a lot of games. Seriously annoying. But if you could post a link of where and what drivers you got, that would be great.
  12. This f***ing game is making a bunch of other games crash the exact same way now. No bueno
  13. I'm pretty sure there's no way to fix this. Honestly, if Bethesda ever realizes this problem, they will fix it. Highly unlikely that anyone else will. Good day, I'm gonna play other games until they decide to fix this piece of nord s***
  14. so it wasnt happening before, but the freezing BS has spread to my other games. These guys better lawyer up
  15. Man it's already been patched, but the damn patch didn't fix anything. Same crashes, same bugs, same frustration. Bethesda doesn't even know this problem exists bro.
