  1. SO, the "atiumdag.dll" gave me ONE night of skyrim gaming, no hassle. Boot up my computer the next day for some more and..... crash within 2 minutes. "what the f*** is THIS s***" Try again, another crash, then the computer wouldn't boot up, I looked in the bios and it wasn't detecting my hard drive. Thankfully it booted up and detected again and turning the whole system off and unplugging and plugging the hard drive back in. I'm really tempted to get a damn nvidia card Now. They'll go into an ASUS AMD mobo right...?
  2. Haven't crashed at all so far after putting this on.
  3. Try to fix a problem, make a million others. And ignore real ones. :psyduck: <==Bethesda
  4. After finally installing the new seasonic 750w PSU.. Skyrim still crashes randomly, needing a hard reset to restore functionality to the computer, Which seems to mean it's a ATI driver or a bethesda software issue and some nvidia users have the same issue so that only leaves one to particularly blame. I assume this will all just go ignored as always.
  5. Yeah I kept expecting it's my cheapo psu, I'll bet when my 750w seasonic 80+ gold efficiency gets here it'll work. That's the exact PSU I'm using, and yet here I am in this crash report thread. Yikes, Well the cheapo psu I already had was known for killing computer parts (xtreme gear) known to be a shitty brand. So I guess it wasn't totally useless. Looks like we may need a modder's help or could be a driver issue. Because I've experienced this crash in gta iv and the witcher II along with the fallout games. That's funny, I haven't experience any kind of issues with The Witcher 2. The only other game I've played to where I have a similar crash where the screen goes black and nothing happens is Crysis 2 after the Dx11 update. Metro 2033 gave me some crashes although I not sure if they were CTD's or complete black screen reboot crashes. I have the Corsair Enthusiast Series 750-Watt PSU, and am experiencing crashes left and right, so I don't think that has much to do with it. Oh, I don't think mine is a corsair version it just says "SeaSonic X750 Gold 750W ATX12V V2.3/EPS 12V V2.91 SLI Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply" But yeah, it may not be the problem, either way extreme gear has no place on my rig and hopefully someone will find the issue out, lol.

  8. Tell me about it, tried the diablotek again to test old motherboard and my vid card.... heard the PSU start whining... total system shutdown, and it appears it literally FRIED my GPU... this has not been a good month for my rig... first the PSU, then mobo, now Graphics card.... STAY AWAY FROM CHEAP ASS PSU's! Yeah lol I got a really nice seasonic one. Everyone always has something nice to say about their PSU's so I got a 750w one from them. It's 80 plus gold efficiency, can't wait to play my demanding games again.
  9. Well I'm having the same issue in other games just like I how I just had the same kind of crash in the witcher 2 when I didn't before when I played it. Same with fallout 3 and new vegas and GTA IV as well except for Episodes from liberty city, I guess they made that one less demanding. I was told my psu is just cheap and can mess up your parts other than your psu (at least my shitty one) and I'm gonna be upgrading it to a nice seasonic now. And on other forums they INSIST it's the PSU when you crash out of the blue. So be it, I don't want my parts f***ed to s*** by this thing, so it's time to replace.
  10. After playing some witcher 2 within 15 minutes of playing it did the same exact thing as it did in skyrim, gta iv, fallout 3, fallout new vegas. So, after having this experience with so many games and people already saying the power supply is shitty, I think it's time to get a new Seasonic or Coolermaster or some sort of nice psu company's psu I guess. Any recommendation on a PSU for an overclocked Radeon HD 6870 and AMD II X4 Phenom 965 OC'd at 3.8 GHz? And idk if this matters but I also have 12 gigs of ram. Sorry if it's a dumb question but I think the problem may lie in our PSUs "tripping" over the power or gpu and cpus give off after doing some research on complete shut downs in the middle of gaming, and if anyone can recommend something good it will be appreciated, I will do some hunting of my own of course but help from someone more experienced would be nice.
  11. except if you had read the title and even some of the thread, you would have noticed that we're not talking about CTD. we're talking about full system crashes - as in the whole machine hangs. Seriously... it's like the 10th time he's said something useless in this thread and people already told him every time. **Earth to idiot, this isn't a CTD thread.**
  12. Anyone think it's the PSU shutting down under heavy load of current the cpu, the gpu,and the game generates and it "trips"? When I got my computer I was told the psu is not the greatest brand. One HD Radeon 6870 AMD X4 Phenom 965 @ 3.4 GHz 12 Gigs of DDR3 RAM And the psu is an xtreme gear 700w power supply. I say this because I've experienced this with other games like gta iv randomly yet episodes from liberty city never crashed. and Fallout 3 and New Vegas did the same when I entered VATS.
  13. After replacing the tesv.exe by deleting it and verifying it, it seems that wasn't the case. I had to always run steam in admin mode and skyrim in admin mode too. So that fixes stuck at a looping launcher, but I still get shitty f***ing crashes that make the need for a whole system hard reset. Not really a surprise since all they did was change the .exe I'm not gonna get my hopes up for this so called patch coming. Waited this long while they just cater to the console s*** for brains that still get to play the game anyway. :whistling:
  14. *insert useless CTD solution here*
  15. Yeah, other games have the same issue too (at least with my rig) such as gta iv, fallout 3, and fallout NV. The fallouts crash when using vats and gta will just randomly but most likely when crashing cars or something. Skyrim crashes without warning. It's usually when out in open areas or cities and sometimes on the map and maybe inside houses or dungeons. But overall it's random. It's really a pain in the ass. STILL not able to enjoy my f***ing game.
