  1. Can you screenshot the error? It's not one I've heard of. Try logging in using a private tab. If that works clear your cookies and try again in your normal browser.
  2. Double click it for more info on why it failed.
  3. The default will be AppData because Vortex knows this will be a safe, writable location. There is a setting in "Mods" that will prefer a location on the same drive, but if your permissions aren't right it'll cause some error messages.
  4. You could copy the Skyrim extension from the core games repo and just change the game ID part to something like skyrimsegog. It's not a great solution but it might be easier than remembering to use the CLI switches
  5. If you're going to be long-term testing two different game store versions of the same game you can also make an extension that handles the second game folder. Unfortunately this won't allow you to manage plugins or saves from there but it'll at least keep the mods somewhat separated.
  6. This page from the built in documentation should help https://modding.wiki/en/vortex/users/migrating-to-a-new-pc
  7. Go to "Open" -> "Open Mod Staging Folder" on the toolbar and delete the folder for that mod. Then restart Vortex. If it's stuck like that it usually means you (or something on your PC) violently interrupted an install process - something like pulling the power cable out of the PC while Vortex is installing something.
  8. You can still create an extension for any game, you just have to do it in a way that won't break your setup (and that of anyone else who uses the extension created via the Add Game Wizard). The extension was removed because it caused so many issues. If you want to make a Game extension, follow this guide (it's linked in the game tab of Vortex too!) https://nexus-mods.github.io/vortex-api/2022/04/03/Creating-a-game-extension.html
  9. The quota size can be adjusted. Keep in mind the old forum didn't let you easily inline images so these limits are set quite low from then. We haven't increased it as we want to check the implications of more freely allowing attachments on the forum in terms of storage and bandwidth. Back on topic, I can see what you mean now. I have a feeling it might be related to your legacy post data putting you well over the criteria for these badges. I can't access the admin tools until I'm back in the office but I'll try adding a new badge to see if that can be unlocked.
  10. If disabling Kaspersky (or adding an exception) works can you please let us know? That information may help others fix this problem if they encounter it.
  11. This question was answered in the site news. https://www.nexusmods.com/news/14894 We are bringing back comment search, the timescale has not yet been locked in but it will return.
  12. I can't replicate this in the latest version which does imply an issue with your browser, browser addons or PC security apps. The log you pasted does seem to show that Vortex is being denied access to the internet to check for updates - so it's likely something on your PC is preventing Vortex from operating properly.
  13. That does work at the moment, but so you know when we release the new User Profiles fully this page will not be accessible anymore.
  14. Can you screenshot the badges part of the profile page so I can see what you see?
  15. I don't see any mention of badges on the profile page. I'm wondering if something is funky with permissions.
  16. Sounds like you might have also locked Vortex's appdata folder behind an admin requirement. This tends to happen if you launch Vortex as admin then try to use it without admin elevation again.
  17. Does the browser open? Are you able to click the button in your browser to authorise the login?
  18. This is a known bug, once a game is approved it isn't being indexed properly. Just edit your mod page and save it to force it to appear in the search.
  19. There's a big blue banner at the top of the page to let you quickly switch back if you need to
  20. Badges are awarded to by moderators, I've added one to your account now
  21. Please check this solution from the pinned posts:
  22. This is caused by using an outdated Mozilla browser, try updating your browser to the latest version.
  23. If you have a tonne of mods deployed over several mod types it will take a bit longer than it used to. This is a consequence of fixing a long-standing bug.
