Try renaming the folder at %appdata%/Vortex to something else and see if it boots up then. If it doesn't, your application state is damaged - this is usually caused by local security apps.

This isn't something that's possible to be caused by Vortex. It sounds like a hardware fault or worst case a virus/malware on your PC

There was a different banner (a red one) up during the DDoS attempt.

99% of the time when this happens it means a local security app sabotaged the install. Just download the latest version of Vortex and install it over the top of what is left over. This should fix it.

Yes, your alias for Bendu did not get filled so it cannot point to anything. Check the alias setup is correct.

Just make a new text file and replace the name with __vortex_staging_folder (make sure you also remove the .txt extension). You also need to make ABSOLUTELY SURE there's no folder with that name.

The announcement automatically turned off a few hours ago - we hadn't expected it to be a problem this long.

Once you've installed the mods via Vortex you may be able to just open the game via Steam, which will enable achievements/etc.

I'm not sure you actually provided a link to the mod you were trying to install at any point. I've not made any changes to the JFO extension since I released it and had no reports of it working improperly. Although I've moved on from player this game a while ago now.
