It would be possible with an extension, sure, but I don't think it's something we'd be building in house at the moment.

If you can't log in it's almost always a problem in your local setup, usually a browser addon breaking the flow.

That's not currently possible. If you want to take advantage of the metadata you should encourage them to share their content on Nexus Mods :)

Can you download any mod directly into Vortex? The most common cause of this issue is a badly configured browser that isn't sending the information to Vortex properly. You can try and fix this in Vortex's Settings -> Download section by turning the "Handle Mod Manager downloads" setting off and back on. Failing that, try a different browser. Chrome works well. Firefox (and it's variants) is a nightmare.

Vortex will remove all file it deployed itself. Some tools (like Nemesis) don't work very well in that they just dump their outputs directly in the game folder. Tools that allow you to point the output to a specific folder would allow you to make the new files automatically managed by Vortex.

Sounds like the folder you have the game installed to has some funky permissions. You should also check in the "Games" tab that the location of BG3 is correct.

Error 401 - Vortex 1.9+ If you have encountered the issue above it usually occurs in Vortex 1.9+ when you've left the application idle for more than 6 hours. The solution is quite simple. Log out and back into Vortex and retry. If step 1 fails, try restarting Vortex.If neither of these options work, there may be a different problem such as the mod you're trying to download has been removed or your local security software is causing errors. This issue is caused by the recent switch to OAuth having an expiry time of 6 hours and some parts of the Vortex application do not currently refresh your session before making a request. A fix for this will be available in a future release.

It's a common issue, but a solved one. If you're on Windows XP, that version of Windows isn't supported by Vortex.
