  1. Pickysaurus's post in M&B II: Bannerlord Mod Error was marked as the answer
This is probably because the mods you're using aren't updated for the latest beta. Mount and Blade 2 is still early access so unfortunately this is going to happen several times before it's full release.
  2. Pickysaurus's post in vortex not launching was marked as the answer
Sounds like you had a bad install
  3. Pickysaurus's post in Blade & Sorcery - Mods can't be deployed was marked as the answer
There should be a notice about this on the Vortex dashboard under "Announcements". There's a problem with 8.4 where mods installed in Vortex don't work. We've been speaking to KospY (the developer of the game) and this will be fixed before 8.4 leaves beta.

You'll want to use v8.3 for now if you're using Vortex for your mod installation.
  4. Pickysaurus's post in Vortex App & Multiple Monitors was marked as the answer
Tannin or Nagev might correct me, but I am pretty sure Vortex has no say in it's Window position on the desktop or the dimensions (aside from having a minimum width and height).

I do have similar problems to those you described with Discord, so I do feel it's a Windows thing.

Update: "Vortex will only move the app's location on screen if less than 25% of the window is visible in the main screen"
  5. Pickysaurus's post in Migrate Vortex mod installation settings and files to NMM? was marked as the answer
This is not something we can help with, you'll need to ask the NMM devs.

If you're having problems with Vortex, I would ask you post a thread explaining the issue in the support forum rather than just deciding it "doesn't work". It doesn't look like you've tried to ask for help...

I'm confident that you're just misunderstanding something or there's a problem in your setup that's easy to correct.
  6. Pickysaurus's post in Really simple request - ModPak's was marked as the answer
We are working on a system similar to Steam Collections, however "Mod Packs" in the Minecraft sense (all mods inside a single download) are not likely to ever be a thing on our site.
  7. Pickysaurus's post in Mods don't get disabled in Dragon Age (1.3.19) was marked as the answer
Did you deploy your mods after disabling them? Your changes don't take effect until you've deployed.
  8. Pickysaurus's post in Download Capped @ 2 MB/s was marked as the answer
Sorry to hear you're having this problem. Unless the downloads are slow only in Vortex, this isn't a Vortex problem.

Please see the troubleshooting guide here: https://help.nexusmods.com/article/92-im-having-download-issues-what-can-i-do

The guide contains information on what data we need from you to look into it and where to post it.
  9. Pickysaurus's post in Vortex download stuck on finalizing stage was marked as the answer
I'm afraid you've not provided much information to work with, what happens when you try do delete it? Is there an error? What does it say?

Can you check if the file is actually in your download folder, and you may need to delete it there.
  10. Pickysaurus's post in Plugin Deployed But Not Sorted - What Does The Game Do? was marked as the answer
I am not 100% sure to be honest. I _think_ it'll be added as a disabled plugin in FO4/SSE and simply not added in older games
  11. Pickysaurus's post in Vortex Corrupt after change in ini file was marked as the answer
This error is more than likely caused by an anti-virus program taking a chunk out of Vortex (for reasons only known to itself)

I recommend installing the latest version of Vortex over the top of your current install to fix it.
  12. Pickysaurus's post in ESL flagging with Wrye Bash being removed by Vortex was marked as the answer
@HTR: Yes, we're talking about converting them to ESP through Wyrebash

I can confirm it's an issue with how Wyrebash saves the files. So this isn't something we can fix on the Vortex side. Here's my test results, I used GitBash to get the file details before and after Wyre edits the file:

As you can see the modified time stamp gets it's decimal places reset to 0.

    Edit: Vortex ticket ref: https://github.com/Nexus-Mods/Vortex/issues/7924
  13. Pickysaurus's post in API Currently Offline? was marked as the answer
Sorry about this, there was a problem with the API but we should be "all systems go" again now :)
  14. Pickysaurus's post in Flagged as "Designed for another game" was marked as the answer
If you're seeing that flag in the "Plugins" page then yes, they are not properly converted to work with Skyrim Special Edition
  15. Pickysaurus's post in Mods not updating through manager after moving mod archive to new PC? was marked as the answer
I believe Vortex only checks the installed mods (enable/disabled is unimportant).

You may want to click a single mod, then press Ctrl + A to select all mods.

On the multi-action toolbar that appears at the bottom, click "Guess IDs", this will tell Vortex to try and fill in any missing metadata about these mods.
  16. Pickysaurus's post in Why is my mod name on Nexus appearing in front of my mod name in Vortex? was marked as the answer
Both the title and file name are entered by you when creating the page/uploading the file, so I'm no really understanding the problem?

Edit: I didn't see your Vortex screenshot, it's super small.

Vortex will add the mod title to the start of the mod name if the title and file are significantly different.

This is done because some authors like to give their files vague names like "MAIN" or "new version". These would appear as "My Mod - MAIN" and "My Mod - new version" so that users can tell where the files came from.
  17. Pickysaurus's post in Does Vortex Support Mod Download Pre-Launch? was marked as the answer
Mods that are hidden, unpublished or in moderation will not allow you to download files. Currently the API doesn't really know/care if you're the author in that regard.

What you can do is start a manual download to get a DL link and in the Downloads tab click the "Drop zone" at the bottom and paste that link. This would "simulate" Vortex having downloaded it via the button on the site.
  18. Pickysaurus's post in Vortex is not displaying Fallout New Vegas (FoNV) as a listed game, [in either the managed or unmanaged section] was marked as the answer
Can you check your "Extensions" tab and see if the "Game: Fallout New Vegas" is present and enabled?
  19. Pickysaurus's post in Documentation for Authors was marked as the answer
Is this what you're looking for? https://wiki.nexusmods.com/index.php/How_to_create_mod_installers

I'm actually thinking of revamping the game specific parts of the Vortex wiki with a format similar to this: https://wiki.nexusmods.com/index.php/Modding_Microsoft_Flight_Simulator_with_Vortex

Currently you mod must fit an existing "Mod type" to be compatible with Vortex. It's unlikely we'll allow authors to give ad-hoc instructions as that would be a nightmare for managing deployed mods.
  20. Pickysaurus's post in Graphics mods working, scripts prevent game from opening when enabled was marked as the answer
Make sure you're installing mods for the correct version of the game. The insta-crash is usually caused by installing Skyrim 2011 mods into Skyrim SE.

I made an extension to check for this which can be found in the Extensions -> Find More menu under "Bethesda Archive Check".
  21. Pickysaurus's post in Failed - Network error was marked as the answer
It seems that the error is fairly accurate. There is an issue with your PC connecting to the download server, resulting in a "Network Error".

You can try downloading it from GitHub: https://github.com/Nexus-Mods/Vortex/releases/tag/v1.2.20

Or troubleshoot your download problem here: https://help.nexusmods.com/article/113-troubleshooting-website-issues
  22. Pickysaurus's post in I am missing a dll file was marked as the answer
Based on the information provided here: https://github.com/Nexus-Mods/Vortex/issues/7316. It appears you are a pirate. You have been banned.
  23. Pickysaurus's post in HELP! DLC's missing after trying to install a mod! was marked as the answer
Make sure the DLCs are enabled in the plugins tab. If you're using the old (2011) Skyrim release it is possible that they might be disabled.
  24. Pickysaurus's post in Vortex requires me to confirm "UAC" dialogue after installing game to another drive was marked as the answer
As you say, if you have moved your game to a different HDD without also moving your mod staging folder it will no longer support hardlinks and fallback to symlinks, which require a UAC prompt when you deploy. If the game doesn't support symlinks it will give you an error instead.
  25. Pickysaurus's post in Vortex will not find dark souls 3? was marked as the answer
I'm not sure if you're aware, but Nexus Mods is mod sharing platform and community for over 1,000 games. Each of those games may have a slightly different way of installing mods. We have added ~125 games to Vortex with the help of the community, but our team don't play or mod every single game so we need help to expand the range of games that Vortex offers. If you have a good working knowledge of how to mod Dark Souls III, perhaps you can create an extension for it?

I've written a basic guide on how to get started here: https://wiki.nexusmods.com/index.php/Creating_a_game_extension_for_Vortex
