  1. Pickysaurus's post in Uninstalled mod is showing installed was marked as the answer
To drop down menu is a toggle, the currently active version is uninstalled, but if you toggle to another version you may see it's marked "disabled" instead
  2. Pickysaurus's post in Vortex 1.2.16 and The Witcher 3 was marked as the answer
As of the latest version of Vortex, hardlink deployment only works if Witcher 3 is on your C:\ drive (or the same drive as your "My Documents" folder). This is because Vortex now deploys files to the Documents folder. So this is treated like an extension of the game folder.

Symlink deployment should still be available unless you permissions on your PC are funky and don't allow the creation of Symlinks.
  3. Pickysaurus's post in Vortex Changes ends of .exe files and others, now they wont work was marked as the answer
Those are symlinks, although I'm not sure how you ended up with that as they aren't compatible with Bethesda games. You need to change the deployment method to hardlink in your mod settings. Vortex should be giving you an error about this
  4. Pickysaurus's post in account not linked with vortex was marked as the answer
    Hi there,

You'll need to login with the same account on both the website and inside Vortex.

To resolve the account problem, please contact us from the email address linked to your primary account and include a copy of the payment invoice for Premium. Send this to [email protected] and we'll do what we can to straighten things out for you :)
  5. Pickysaurus's post in Mods Simply Aren't Affecting My Game was marked as the answer
Might sound like a simple thing, but are the mods enabled in the plugins tab?

Have you made sure to click "deploy" and checked for errors in the top right (bell icon).

Finally, if you open your data folder, are the files actually in there?
  6. Pickysaurus's post in Your Shopping Cart is Empty was marked as the answer
    Hi there,

    Sorry about that.

The solution is pinned in the feedback forum: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/8359768-investigation-supporters-cannot-purchase-1-month-premium/

Looks like that rule has been added to the master list :)
  8. Pickysaurus's post in API currently not reachable, can´t login or download was marked as the answer
    Hi there,

We took the API offline for around 20 minutes yesterday.

Please try closing Vortex and reopening it if you're still having issues.

You also need to make sure you have the latest version.
  9. Pickysaurus's post in Deployment interrupted was marked as the answer
Can you try clicking on "Manage Rules" or click the notification bell to see if there's a notification you missed?
  10. Pickysaurus's post in Check for updates doesnt work + Action "open mod on Nexus" is missing was marked as the answer
Select all your mods with CTRL + A, then click "Guess ID" on the toolbar at the bottom.

This will attempt to link your mods with their Nexus Mods pages.

These two features require that link to be made.
  11. Pickysaurus's post in No plugin button since the last vortex update was marked as the answer
Can you go to extensions and check for "Gamebyro Plugin Management" if it's disabled, enable it and restart Vortex :)
  12. Pickysaurus's post in Vortex client download doesn't work. was marked as the answer
Your title is misleading. You're having problems downloading Vortex, not with Vortex itself.

You can try getting it from GitHub if you're unable to work out the problem:
    https://github.com/Nexus-Mods/Vortex/releases/tag/v1.1.15
  13. Pickysaurus's post in How Can I Safely Reinstall My Game Without Messing Up Vortex? was marked as the answer
If you plan to install it to the exact same folder it's currently in, do this.

    1) In Vortex, click "Purge" in the mods tab.
    2) Close Vortex. Do NOT open it again until the game is reinstalled.
    3) Delete Skyrim SE and redownload from Steam.
    4) Run Skyrim SE at least once after it installs.
    5) Open Vortex and click "deploy".

Note: If you installed anything manually (like SKSE/Reshade/ENB) you'll need to reinstall that too.

Click the gear in the corner of the plugins table and check the "mod index" column box :)
  15. Pickysaurus's post in StreetLights.esm Fallout 3 Placed Wrong ? was marked as the answer
The pre-release (testing branch 1.1.13) now features this fix if you want to give it a try
  16. Pickysaurus's post in FNV Missing masters .esm was marked as the answer
Make sure they are enabled in the plugins tab.
  17. Pickysaurus's post in Origin Mass effect was marked as the answer
We would love to support all the Mass Effect titles, but we would require several community members to step up and either design the extension themselves or fully document the install patterns Vortex would need to be able to follow. I do hope to see them in Vortex one day... but I know of at least 4 complex modding patterns for ME3 alone.
  18. Pickysaurus's post in Script Extender Plugin Errors - was marked as the answer
As RMM says. This info is telling you, last time you started the game, a DLL file you did not install with Vortex reported errors.
  19. Pickysaurus's post in Jedi Fallen order mods was marked as the answer
That mod appears to work fine, so there must be something else. Are you getting any warnings/errors in Vortex? Have you deployed your mods?
  20. Pickysaurus's post in vortex.deployment json must be deleted/ was marked as the answer
Ok I looked into it using "HG EyeCandy Body" (I reverse engineered that from you acronym so I hope it's right).

These is indeed an issue. The BSAs for the Steam version of the game have a last modified date which is fairly recent. So we need to reset it to 01.01.2006, which we currently do for other games but it wasn't required in Oblivion until now. So thanks for helping us track it down!
  21. Pickysaurus's post in Full scan (for games) - what does it 'look' like? was marked as the answer
    Hi zixi,

We don't currently support Vortex on Linux however I can describe how it behaves on Windows.

When you do a full scan the bar at the bottom of the games Window will fill green as Vortex looks through the directories/partitions defined in Settings -> Games

If it finds a new game I believe there is a notification.
  22. Pickysaurus's post in Error, source doesn't match any files. was marked as the answer
H2R - that's a message informing them that NMM accepted poorly formed XML in FOMODs.

@Gladlyaddley1 - if the mod installed correctly there's not a big issue, however the Mod Installer (or FOMOD) has some invalid XML in it. You should inform the mod author of this problem.
  23. Pickysaurus's post in Visual bug using Vortex was marked as the answer
This is usually caused by your FXAA settings.

See here for more info https://wiki.nexusmods.com/index.php/Frequently_Asked_Questions#Why_is_Vortex_blurry?
  24. Pickysaurus's post in Timeout Error while downloading was marked as the answer
When the site is busy you may intermittently get timeouts from downloads or the API. We're working on ways to reduce these cases behind the scenes.
  25. Pickysaurus's post in Problem Updating Vortex was marked as the answer
Have you accidentally installed Vortex twice? This can happen if you use the custom download location for a much older version?
