  1. I'm also having this issue. The power is obviously activated because the initial transformation takes place (it halts for me right as you start to physically change into beast form and you remain in human form). When this happens, the map and favorites menu are not avaiable (nor are pre-set favorites quick slots). You can still go into your inventory and select magic/weapons/armor and it functions correctly as if in human form.
  2. I haven't noticed a 6 second animation (maybe a slight exaggeration on your end?) but I have had an issue where I kept howling uncontrollably several times while getting pummeled to death. In the end its the same result. I am also having an issue where I can't enter werewolf form after my first transformation after drinking Alea's blood. I am aware of the daily power issue and that's not it. The power is activated and a partial animation happens (swirling black aura and a silhouette of the werewolf shows for half a second...then it stops and I'm still human but am limited to the UI when in werewolf form (no favorites menu, no map, etc). I'm actually searching the forums for this issue and came across your post. Also, I'm using Dawnguard with mods and have tried uninstalling any mods that modify werewolves. Edit: Here is a link in the tech support section with the above issue if anyone else has it. http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/753232-werewolf-transformation-not-working/
  3. I was a skeptic towards hardware being the culprit but I'm afraid that its partially true (at least in my case). I had a working fix for my card (search my name in this thread to find the fix if you haven't read it already). The hardware is not directly at fault. Its the compatibility of the card with high end games. I have the same issue while playing Mass Effect 3 and Kingdoms of Alamaur: Reckoning. I received a new video card in the mail today that I ordered and the issue has completely stopped for all three games. Here are the links to my old and new video card. Old: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161369 (Read the customer reviews for this exact issue while playing skyrim and other high end games. It is why Newegg no longer carries this card). New: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=708649&SRCCODE=WEBLET03SHIP&cm_mmc If the above links did not work for you: The Old card is a HIS Radeon 6870 and the New card is a XFX Radeon 6950. Note that this does not necessarily mean that you must use a different card to fix this issue. The fix I found before worked until a later patch for Skyrim released, so it is an issue between software and hardware communication (my guess is memory modules for the gpu) P.S. A warning should be edited to the OP notifying people that this issue can cause damage to their computer. I don't want to upset anyone but if you are planning on keeping your current video card..be patient for a community fix and if you have a different card that works, use it while you wait. Zolexus, you may want to add a warning to the OP to pursue this issue at each person's own risk. Not everyone realizes that this issue can cause data corruption or even permanent damage to their hardware.
  4. I tried using that version (I was using version 6 with patch 1.3). Did you make and changes to the files or use default settings for the ENB patch?
  5. I posted about this several pages ago and a few others also had success with it. Unfortunately, for me anyway...patch 1.4 broke this fix. I had played a solid 60 hours or so without this issue. Then I stopped playing to wait for the creation kit to release and decided to play again the other night. Steam forced me to patch to 1.4. I wish I knew about skse for mods to bypass steam (you still have to log into steam but it doesn't check if your game is updated....I think). Anyway, its back to the drawing board for me. Hopefully Bethesda quits tweaking things and actually starts fixing issues like this one. Any ideas on how to legitimately get an installer for Skyrim that isn't version 1.4?
  6. I'm using the EBNSeries patch 6 (without enabling the memory reduction feature) Latest ATI Catalyst drivers (or should be anyway, Device Manager shows Version 8.911.0.0) I also have the 4GB patch in my skyrim directory but I am launching through steam so that shouldn't matter. What patch are you on? 1.1 or 1.2? I'm using 1.2
  8. It seems that the only main difference is the version of ENBSeries patch we are using (I'm using Patch 6, without enabling the memory reduction feature). I haven't looked at Patch 7 (and personally don't want to mess with anything now that it is working and 100% stable for 8 hours of gameplay). I did restart the game after using the fix I mentioned earlier (this may or may not be substantial to my stability). Look at my post below this one for njemopogi and see if the driver version is the same in Device Manager
  9. I have tried this after coming home from work, and it seems to work for me (Got the problem 100+ hours into the game when opening/using the map). But keep in mind that I did not have time for more extensive testing. Others are reporting problems with this fix (low fps), for some it works. Worth a try in my opinion. Here's my rig: Intel Core 2 Quad 2,4 GHz Win 7 Pro x64 6GB RAM 2GB AMD Radeon 6970 with 11.9 drivers (11.11b didn't work either) OCZ Vertex 3 SSD 120 GB Don't wanna cheer too soon, but thanks Falthos for posting this! Glad to hear we have more success with this! I'll post my setup so that we can compare rigs and see if its specific ATI cards that this fix works on. Win 7 Ultimate x64 Phenom 2 Deneb 3.2Ghz 4 GB DDR2 800 RAM HIS ICE-Q TURBO 6870 with latest catalyst 750 GB 72000 RPM Sata HD 750W Corsair PSU
  10. Well, Skyrim still crashed :( I'm also using the TES Skyrim 0.093 Patch 6 (http://enbdev.com/download_en.htm). This could be another factor in fixing the crashes.
  11. I found what seems to be a fix for this tedious full system crash when visiting the bethesda forum post mentioned a few pages ago on this thread (the compilation of everything we have tried). I'll post what I found on the thread here to make things easier. Note: I don't think that this will work for Nvidia users, only ATI. -------------------- Download atiumdag.dll from http://www.megaupload.com/?d=ICEDIU66 See the link at this forum post http://www.overclock...0#post_15656590 Open folder steam > steamapps > common > skyrim Drag atimgpud.dll into the steam folder. (This is to just get it out of the skyrim folder without losing the file in case this does not work.) Place atiumdag.dll in the skyrim folder (steam > steamapps > common > skyrim) -------------------- This has fixed the full system crash when opening my map as well as the random crashes that we have all suffered dearly. I hope that this helps everyone else. I'll post back if I run into any issues using this "fix".
  12. I have been following this post since it started (due to having the same issue). I haven't read every page but in the beginning, it was pointed out that everyone reporting the issue was using a 32 or 64 Win 7 OS. I decided to test on XP Pro SP3 and the game actually crashes even faster on there. I've sent my own ticket to Bethesda and got a response via email to send them my DxDiag.txt file but I haven't heard back since I sent it (its been about 3 days). Can someone confirm that this issue is happening with all installation methods (digital download and cd/dvd)? My copy is digital from direct2drive.
