  1. I had the same problem. Go to the center and look above and place it above your head.
  2. After I finished the game once, I just use the player.additem f 1000000 for money. It also allows you some leeway early on to train some stuff like smithing/enchanting that you would otherwise have to wait till end game or a whole lot of material grinding to raise. I can confirm that if you finish the mage school quest line you get a room you can store stuff. And I'm pretty sure the room they initially give you can also be used for storage, but I wasn't brave enough to test it with the only gear I deemed valuable enough to store. The best suggestion until then is to just not pick up every single piece of junk that only sells for a few coins. Sell prices are pretty low in this game if you don't perk or have items boosting it. You are better off just looting gold and leaving all weapons unless they are special or an enchantment that you can disassemble. Anyway I made that choice after being tired of being overburdened. If you loot anything, grab jewelry. Leave the heavy stuff. If you aren't using potions/scrolls then there is no need to loot them. Be selective in what you take.
  3. My first character was a Destruction/Conjuration mage, no weapons. And you really need to max out enchanting, and get 4 pieces of equipment with -25% cost, which means you cast spells for 0 MP. I got it worked in to do free casts for Destruction and Conjuration. Later on even your best destruction spells, Incinerate, Thunder Bolt, Ice lance are going to start doing crap damage, for the amount of bar it costs to dual cast them. But the same enemy that takes 3 dual cast incinerates to drop get pwned 1hko by my 2handed warrior with a power attack. This is why it is absolutely necessary to make your destruction spells free cast, because you will run out of mana at some point otherwise. In fact if you do this, you don't need to put a single level in magicka, and should just dump it all in health. And you also don't need to waste any perks on the half cost for specific skill levels. The first thing I noticed with a mage, was how difficult it was to deal with other mages, because they spam ward and take no damage from your costly cast destruction spells, and when you run out and your enemy is still standing unscathed, it makes your build feel rather worthless. Conjuration pets help with the aggro, and with 100, you can summon 2 dremora lords, and they take out the enemy mages in 1 or 2 hits, If you are a squishy mage, you better get some pets, or you wont win some fights. Also, don't perk the atronachs, Dremora Lords are way better. I only got 4 spells on my favorite with my mage, Dremora lords, Incinerate, Thunder bolt, Lightning storm. Don't use Ice because I didn't perk the damage for it. And you are fine with 2 elements. I recommend a High Elf for mage, because of the once a day ability, it boosts magicka regen considerably, and allows you to win a few fights early on that would otherwise be impossible.
  4. We are supposed to be getting a new patch eventually, the 1.04 patch created problems in Japan, and they are working on another, a 1.05 patch which we will end up getting eventually. I like Dark Souls for the single player campaign, but the multiplayer is kinda sad. You can't even connect with friends reliably. And currently there are too many cheap gimmicks that invaders use by exploiting glitches, and broken items/spells. So my Dark Souls experience has been mostly offline. First time I got invaded it was by a guy with a stone greatsword, and he swap casted Crystal Magic weapon on it and the gravity effect did DOT damage, I couldn't do jack about it. And there is more of this going on than legitimate challengers.
  5. Sounds cool. I noticed there wasn't really much of an advantage to werewolf from considering you have to give up so much. Its good for the 100% disease resist, and that is it IMO.
  6. Something like this needs to be done to make destruction spells a little bit better, compared to buffed/enchanted melee weapons they do completely crap for damage. 90 damage with the perk for incinerate is not enough. I would be satisfied for a mod that raises the spell damage a bit, and takes away the long animation for firestorm, blizzard, Lightning storm. The later is good for taking out dragons, but the first 2 are utterly useless.
  7. The stones, you see 2 on the left and 2 on the right. The stones on the left represent the ones you have to turn from that perspective. Anyway I got that first try, its not difficult at all.
  8. I did something like this with my first character, except I didn't use alchemy. I was 1hkoing Giants/Mammoths with a power attack.
  9. I'm 40 hours in with a level 52 character, and I have yet to see a Daedra enemy. I hear there is a certain quest for a Daedric lord that allows you to fight a few of them. Later on Alchemists will sell Daedra hearts so you can craft armor.
