  1. Glad you are enjoying it so far. I plan anywhere between 14-20 chapters at the moment with what I have in mind. As for your question, I will not answer if he is that man as that is revealed, but an obvious hint would be that, yes, his story is happening before. Sorry for the late reply!
  2. Hey. Yes Sarah was based on a character I have RPed for years. She was my go to "evil" character, and the only real female I played (as 95% of my characters are male) As for more writing, well, I have started part 2 of Into The Wasteland, which has the entire backstory I am writing for the New York Wasteland of "Empire City". It is about 20 pages long at the moment, and a continuation of "Sarah's Story" and will by the looks of things, end up being quite long, as I have a lot planned for it. The fact I am only at page 20, means I will likely break 100. That is mostly what I have for now, but rest assured I add to Into the Wasteland : The Empire almost daily (I will try to catch up with several chapters tomorrow) I am also very busy writing a very large script for a quite large mod that me and a team of over 10 people are working on, so that is keeping me busy.
  3. Hey fallout fans, For those of you who read "Into the Wasteland : Sarah's Story", the first chapters of part 2 are finally here. There is an entire 200 year history, map included here of the "Empire Wasteland" an imagined New York. Part 1 should be read before diving into the New York "Empire" Wasteland, as part 2 would make little sense otherwise. Here is a link to part 1 "Into The Wasteland : Sarah's Story" Here is a link to the start of part 2 "Into The Wasteland : The Empire" Both are and will be dark, brutal, bloody, violent, and everything you would expect from Fallout, faint of heart beware. This is not a heroic fallout tale, it is dark and shows the reality of the wasteland. For those who have not read either, I highly suggest it if you enjoy fallout, even if reading is not your thing, I have had many come to me who tell me they dislike reading, but highly enjoyed the story. I look forward to hearing your thoughts!

  5. thanks for the feedback. Part 2 is going to be really finishing part 1. It will be around Sarah, but introduce a new main character to allow me to start part 3, which will be taken away from Sarah as the main point, so hopefully since part 1 was not too long, and part 2 will be more of a bridge, you will not get that aspect you refer to for a sequel.
  6. I am head of a mod team currently working on an ambitious but quite obtainable mod for New Vegas. We have 9 people working on it so far in our early stages, including a very talented team of writers who have made some amazing story to make our mod stand out. To simply put it, we are not releasing much info on this mod except that is heavily centered around a New Companion with a very interesting backstory. It follows figuring out about him and his story through a large amount of missions, unlocking the truths along the way. As you do, a new player home added by this mod adapts to your story and how you treat the companion, it changes drastically with, so far, a handful of possible outcomes for it, based on your actions and mission completion. We are currently looking to fill a few positions to distribute the work load better: - We need some experienced scritpers to help script some of our cinematic scenes we have planned. Our current scripter has personal matters to attend to. -We need people with general GECK experience, and experience making World Spaces and Interiors, the more detailed environments you are used to, the better. We are all filled up on writers, audio engineers, composers, and several other positions, but will still take applications. We could use more voice actor auditions, but are not hurting for that at the moment. All info will be given out upon acceptance to the team. For anyone worried about "another ambitious mod that wont get done" our teams moto is "Completion and Quality" and we will strive to attain both of those at all points throughout. We plan to be a mod team for years to come, and know that people will come and go, but would love to get a few more talented people on board to be here with us from the start. You can respond here, PM me, or check out our brand new website / forums Thanks for reading www.thatmodteam.com /r/falloutmods -Cyrus224
  7. Wow, I swore I tried this before but vista is the one thing that I would usually not try compatibility for. Setting it to windows Vista Compatibility worked, so you mentioning your OS was Vista gave me the solution, so thank you.
  8. If I change any dialogue in the dialogue script I am working on, it will not allow me to press "OK" Once I do, it does its regular annoying dictionary thing, and then nothing. The button "presses" but does not close the window. If I create a new Topic, it allows me to press "OK" but the window does not close, just the same. I press "Close" and the topic is there, with whatever I typed as response, so it seems to function in that sense, but now if I want to modify that text, I get the same "press ok and nothing happens" issue, leaving me stuck with whatever I first typed as dialogue. (I cannot modify Vanilla Dialogue either) This also happens when I was modifying a Package, I go to conditions, and set a "getScriptVariable", Once again, once I have selected my reference, it will not allow me to press "Ok" (in this case, I also cannot press cancel, forcing me to force quit the GECK, as I cannot exit the window or save) This is happening on several ESPs I am using on several different mods. I reinstalled Fallout, and the GECK, and it did not fix it. I used GECKpowerup, and that did not fix it. This did not used to happen, and it's getting frustrating as I am working with 8 others right now, and we rely on each other to get work done at a good pace. What could be causing this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  9. Thanks for the feedback, glad to hear it sounds like you enjoyed it. She does seem to be having a struggle with if she wants to do good or not, doesn't it? One moment she does something like selling out people for her own good, and the next she rescues several, others its a grey area where its them or her. What it comes down to is the question "whenever she does good, is it for others, or only herself" Do you have any discussion you may want to add? I'd love to hear your opinion on characters like Daniels, Adams, Carrie, etc, and how you think they may factor in to the 2nd part of the story. What are your thoughts on the mysterious sniper? Do you think Daniels actually cares, or was he saving his own ass? Is Adams just doing a job, or is he more ruthless than he comes across? I'd love to get some in depth discussion going to help encourage people to want to read, and I enjoy seeing what others think of the characters. I have got some good discussion on Reddit about peoples thoughts on the future, and characters, so it would be nice to get some thoughts on the Nexus too. Thanks for reading!
  10. The "final" chapter is now up. There will either be a second story, or I will eventually add on more chapters, but we have come to the end of the first part. I've had great feedback from a lot of people on various sites, and would love to hear more feedback from anyone interested.
  11. I do really hope you continue to read when you are not so busy, I am getting a lot of really positive feedback on other websites (A lot of people saying they couldn't put it down and read it all in one go, which I find awesome, and hope continues) Could you point out what grammatical errors you noted as an example? I am writing this at a pretty fast speed, but I am also usually pretty good with grammar, formatting and punctuation, although I do fix quite a few mistakes when I do a quick once over before uploading each part, I'd just like to know if something overly out of place is noticed. (Like word auto-correcting semi colons where I do not want them on occasion) Thanks regardless, I hope you keep reading and enjoy it, it's getting quite intense at this point.
  12. I now have up to chapter 5, if you wish to keep reading! I'd love to get more feedback. Most of my feedback is coming from reddit. You are the only nexus user who I think has read it now, haha.
  13. Thanks for the response. It is really quite brutal. I wanted to write a story to take the lighthearted side out of the wasteland (not to say there wont be some humor later on), to really show how harsh the world can really be. When playing the game people run from point A to point B and don't often see the human element behind the story that makes people the way they are, so I wanted to show the face of how this girl got destroyed by the wasteland and turned into what she is. I want the reader to think she is brutal and harsh, yet also sympathize with her.
  14. I'm not usually into Fan fiction in any way, so I can understand some people not being interested, but give it a try, and see what you think. I'm writing a short fallout Novel, not like most following a hero in the wasteland. This story follows a young girl raised amongst Raiders, who lead a brutal life of death, violence, murder, rape and other terrible things you see in the wasteland, captured by the enclave for killing someone seemingly important. The first 4 chapters are posted so far, updated daily, if anyone wants to check it out! Click Here to check out the story I'd love some feedback if you have it, Thanks!
  15. I can't think of another place to post this, but I wanted my fellow nexus family to see what I've been working on, and it relates a lot of Fallout 3.
