  1. Yes, thank you. I think I understand that one set of instructions sets the stage or in other words "wins" but my question was more along the lines of explaining what each of the options does. for example starting on the left side the first choice is complete overwrite, next choice appears to be a partial overwrite and as you move to the right in the options fields it looks like the options become less impactive, if that make sense. kinda hard for me to explain myself any better as i am apparently lacking the vocabulary. I may just be taking you up on that generous offer!
  2. Hello, please forgive if I have posted in the wrong area, I am relatively new to modding and the Nexus Forums. Was curious if someone could explain the various choices you get when installing a mod that shares common files, specifically when you get that pop up indicator when installing another mod that shares file. It usually says, "such and such mod has already installed, do you want to use this mod instead"? or something like that... Out of all those options, "Yes to all", "Yes to Mod", "Yes to file," "No to file," etc. etc. etc. Assuming that i understand just a little bit about load orders and common files, what option do i selected? Any help here greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  3. "So, I guess the only way you can really do this is if you pick a settlement and dedicate it solely to an arena with no defense, no settlers, and you just send settlers over one at a time if you want them to fight. So much for immersion." Starlight Drive In makes the best arena site imho, you got a pretty flat square layout to work with which facilitates building a battle arena there quite well. I too never could get my settlers to fight each other either, although i do believe there may be a console command that toggles the combat AI. As a result I just pitted settler vs. raider, or settler vs. creature or creature vs. creature and some epic battles ensued. I assume you are familiar with the console command that allows you access any, any, NPC inventory, which is awesome as you can customize matches based on equipment and or weapons used.
  4. After doing a little research, answered my own question. in case this happens to you, as a result of toggling the free flying camera, open the console and adjust the field of view to default 90. changed the pipboy screen right back to normal. fov 90
  5. All of a sudden the menu screen in the pip boy is magnified to the point of rendering it almost useless. all the other fonts and magnifications are normal when interacting with NPC's and the game environment. When i open the pip boy using any quick key or the tab, the screen opens at maximum magnification plus some. it can still can enlarge the image as well. Tried right clicking and dragging the mouse, but it doesnt minimize anything. any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.
  6. This exactly. Was super sad that we have no hidden weapons or armor stashed in some obscenely hard to notice spot to be searching for  And still kinda shocked with how little was done with the ocean, hopefully somethings planned for it. Did manage to find a square doorway leading into a series of pipes, looked like it could have connected to some underwater bunker... this could definitely be the playground for some upcoming DLC?
  7. Would like to add a little spice of life variety in the npc sitting idle animations department, here's a couple of ideas for poses I was hoping might be possible for someone to produce: something a little provocative along the lines of Sharon Stone in her classic beaver shot pose aka "Basic Instinct," when sitting in a chair slouching and smoking a cigarette when sitting on a couch standing one foot on the floor, one foot up on the chair when standing around talking thanks for reading
  8. Been really enjoying walking around the map with the water basically turned off using the "No Ocean" mod by Bradenm650. Kinda interesting walkabout with plenty of hmmmm... moments as to what could be possible. I had Dogmeat along and it was interesting to see the sand stir up from the bottom as he ran along side me across the bottom of the ocean. Got pretty deep out there so you can imagine what visibility is like in power armor at the bottom of the ocean at night... Maybe it was my graphics card but the surreal landscape and the random debris fields reminded me of the movie "TankGirl" with Lori Petty, LOL. didnt work for shallow water or deep water inland lakes. fun mod though, worth spending an afternoon checking it out, but the loot was nonexistent and what i did find was mostly disappointing. Lots more sunken treasure in FO New Vegas, I was expecting better for this game.
  9. I just recently got armorsmith extended because it added ballistic weave to most of the clothing, however i cant see the option when modifying clothing? This is a new game start and I haven't met up with Tinker Tom yet, so does that make a difference or should I be able to craft armored clothing immediately? any help would be appreciated.
  10. Hello, I know it is important to pay attention to load orders and that using the utilities like Settlement Keywords, Armor & Weapons Keywords Community Resource and Valdacil's Item Sorting help to minimize the inevitable conflicts that arise when using multiple mods. So here are my questions: can i use all three of these utilities together? what order should they be installed in? which options are best to select? any feedback would be welcome. thanks for reading, Piddy
  11. thanks for the heads up, gonna go check out both those links you sent me.
  12. I have thoroughly been enjoying FO4 settlement building and crafting using the outstanding mods available here on Nexus, so to you authors out there, let me first say Thank You for your outstanding work. What I would like to see available, dont know if anyone has done it yet, but i would like to see a mod that straightens all the settlement boundaries into straight lines and corners and then also be able to snap right onto the green wall boundary... If that isn't possible perhaps it would be possible to snap onto an existing structure within any given settlement area. I would like to be able to replace the windows and doors at the Red Rocket for example. If somebody has already done something like that, please let me know. thanks for reading!
  13. There's a CBBE mod that puts black nylon thigh high stockings on, but you loose the armor slots... i myself would like to see some sexy stiletto combat high heels in fashion colors, i am kinda thinking that Roman gladiator style, but with heels...
  14. Thanks for the feedback, Nice to know that I still have some room to install more mods and very good points about what goals are in mind when installing a mod. I do make it point to only install one mod at a time and launch the game each time before installing another mod, especially when there are lots of shared files being overwritten, 'cause at least that way i can narrow the problem down to those specific mods involved if the game crashes or wont start.
  15. Hello,I was just going thru my Fallout 4 folder and the numbers indicated I currently had 79 active mods and 59 plugins installed. It took a lot of trial and error to get all these to work together so the game wouldn't crash and yet there are still so many more mods to check out and so many being introduced everyday. So, how many mods are in your FO4? Which do you think are best? Your thoughts and feedback greatly appreciated
