  1. Looking for a mod that is a collection of Armors. As many as possible please. Thank you.
  2. Picking up Skyrim again. Fun times
  3. I took a long break from Skyrim to let the mods evolve. Now, I am having trouble finding a large compilation of Armors. I don't want to have to download 60 Armors one by one... I don't think anyone does. So, can anyone point me to the right place? Thanks.
  4. You can ignore this thread. I didn't see the "Mod Detectives" sticky at first.
  5. Skyrim is undoubtedly better executed that Oblivion. But the depth of play in Oblivion is better. I played Oblivion for the first time right before I purchased Skyrim. While the graphics and animations look way better in Skyrim. The world of Oblivion had larger/more interesting towns than in Skyrim. Skyrim has better executed plots for each guild. Oblivion had way more guild content and actually made you feel as though you earned your place in the guild. Skyrim's main story is way better than Oblivion's hands down. However all of the side stories in Oblivion, and all of the people's journals and letters to one another were really interesting. It's a shame that both games could not just take the best from eachother. In some ways I like Skyrim's lvling system but in other ways I liked Obivion's... I mainly miss "Acrobatics". Skyrim is a more technologically advanced game, like five years newer... So it's almost unfair to compare the two graphics and AI wise. In my opinion fighting in Oblivion was more strategy based. Blocking was actually useful and played an important strategic roll.
  6. just make a ton of leather bracers and iron daggers to max out your smithing lvl.... Then you won't have to worry about that.
  7. If you like Skyrim and can deal with slightly less good graphics then definitely go for Oblivion. Just make sure you install some graphics mods on Oblivion... Research to find out which mods are recommended by the community and install them. I had a blast with Oblivion. Once I'm burnt out on Skyrim I'm going to go back and play Oblivion again. I played Oblivion seriously for the first time about two months ago. There are less quests in Oblivion, but the quests are usually longer.
  8. Hey bro Im all for it but you can't even get away with the way you want to live in this world. Look here. That's pretty outrageous... I am pretty sure he could fight that in court. Unless he lives in a deed restricted community then he can do whatever he wants within reason on his own soil.
  9. Put into account that Nexus has a huge jump on Steamworks with mods for FO series and Morrowind/Oblivion. Technically Nexus has thousands of Skyrim mods out, even if only 50 of them are worth downloading right now. Steamworks is going to have the same quality control issues as Nexus... Specially since it is more accessible to the "noob" modder. Heck, even if I do one day use Steamworks to DL mods it doesn't mean I would abandon the Nexus... You are allowed to shop at both Walmart and Target, ya know? lol
  10. People in UK use the word proper to enhance or emphasize something. Proper made me laugh = Made me die laughing I love the random events in Skyrim. I don't know if most of it is intended to be funny, but the NPCs do things that are so stupid that they are like a proper joke. :P
  11. First off, people need to stop flaming modders when they post a mod... It's the modders that make Nexus. I'm definitely not interested in supporting Steam DRM, and large corporations in general. The Nexus has been serving me well for a long time, so why go somewhere else? Not to mention, sure modders may get "paid"... But that means that players will have to "pay" for the mods they download that modders get paid for. Beth or Valve isn't going to just be giving money away...some one is going to have to pay, and you better believe there will be a middle man or two. Plus some of the best modders don't want to get paid for their mods... and how hard do you think it would be to force some one to pay for something they've been getting for free all their lives? I also believe that they will adapt some of the best mods for console DLC. I think that is why they put all that fine-print in the agreement.
  12. I think it's because smithing is too easy already. You can just keep melting things down to get the materials back and then build them over and over again. There should be a "cost" to smelting items... They should only return about half the leather they cost... also the smelter should require coal to run....heck, the anvil should require coal to run!
  13. I think you're on to "the truth"... the plot doesn't unfold until you reach 99.9% completion.
  14. I saw this a week or two ago... I not only favorited her...but I also added her on facebook. She lives in mexico, and is bilingual or technically trilingual(which is why she speaks excellent dragon)
  15. Yeah, I rid myself of vampirism the first time I was chased out of town by an angry mob. What if I was just born that way? Everyone just hates you with a bitter passion for no reason... Vampirism in Skyrim has no redeeming qualities... At least in Oblivion I could run really fast and jump super-high. I also enjoyed the read btw.
  16. Fail... My best guess is that one of the draugrs is a maintenance draugr. Why not make the candle lights fueled by natural gas... Or perhaps ancient technology, some sort of magic infused gems that illuminate with different colored light depending on the shade...
  17. You have to go to the market square in Riften and there is a guy named Brynjolf who asks you if you need money. He offers you some money to steel a ring from a store/stand and plant it on some one... Thieves Guild
  18. Yeah, where cold weather has an actual effect on your character's body temperature. Bleeding is a factor, where there either has to be a doctor or magics to fix you. Obviously cooking food is important... I also want food spoilage, raw food spoils faster then cooked food. I also want to monitor my character's cholesterol and blood sugar...not really... but it would be nice if starvation caused you to lose weight where gorging caused you to gain weight, kind of like the Fable series. A mod with some sort of bar-mini game or card game or something... seriously, every culture has bar games. I want to be able to get intoxicated and wake up in a jail cell naked!!!
  19. You ever play the first Resident Evil? That game scared the hell out of me! You barely had one bullet per zombie. Once RE got away from standard "zombies" it started getting less like a horror game and more like a science fiction game.
  20. This reminds me of the saying "A mile wide, but only a quarter of an inch deep"... If I just wanted to repeat the same thing over and over again I would just play a generic puzzle game...
  21. Still, infine fetch quests? Who really finds that appealing? Instead of spending time on radiant questing I would have liked to simply have longer guild story-lines. You can progress to the master of any guild with one day of game-play. How many simple A to B quests can you do with gold as the only incentive... When gold is not all that interesting of a prospect as it comes easily to begin with.
  22. I can kind of understand Skyrim winning GOTY... But how the hell could they give "best studio" to Bethesda? Shouldn't best studio go to the one who's games have the most stability and best customer support? Also, why get excited that Skyrim won anything? It's not like "we" won anything. lol Aw yeah!!!!
