  1. For the war paint in general or just for Jenassa? I'm really not good at that sort of stuff myself, messing about with it feels like a bad idea for me. =p I
  2. Camilla and Aela - step down for the most beautiful woman in all of Skyrim... Okay, perhaps not, but she's cute, and the family back in Morrowind won't go nuts because of me going off getting married with a non-mer. There are few elves that can be married that doens't look plain weird or are kind of out of date, Jenassa (from Whiterun) both suits my playstyle as an assassin/thief, talks of murder as art, and actually shoots with a bow better than I do in the early morning hours after power-playing the entire night. The one thing that bothers me is that she've got yellow war-paint on her pwetty blue skin, it looks kind of weird, and sort of reminds me of an inverted swedish flag, which reminds me of football, which reminds me of physic activities which is rather a turn-off. Would someone please remove the war-paint? Cheers.
  3. Well there is an animation for blocking without a shield, wielding a single one-handed weapon, I'm not sure but I think it would look quite alright even if the second hand held a second weapon. As for which button to use, I suppose it would be good to let people assign the key themselves through the control menu, some people have additional mouse buttons or others may prefer using... Q? Some button near your normal WASD keys. *shrug* I don't really like the idea of making all attacks go to the left mouse button and all blocks to the right mouse button, it reduces the liberty of your attacks and jabs, and could cause problems with the power attacks (would reduce them from 3 different to 1 single) The 'general idea' of fighting with 2 weapons is being light on your feet, trying to stay out of the way when people swing slow weapons, the blocking would be best used against people fighting with one-handed weapons, and just like when blocking with a 2-handed weapon, the blocking only reduces the taken damage a slight bit, but atleast makes you do something rather than standing there and taking it all in. The only way for a dual-wielding melee character to stop a spell cast or power attack is to counter with a quicker power attack and hope it'll stagger the oponent, a bash attack would really make the fights more fun, and without really unbalancing things. The damage output of a character using a 2-handed melee weapon is about the same as a person using 2 1-handed weapons as far as I've noticed so far (If not even higher with 2-handed weapons), so allowing the same level of blocking + 'shield' bashing whilst dual-wielding would just balance the game if anything.
  4. So, I love dual-wielding and just going nuts with my berserker rage. Although there are two main things I do dislike about dual-wielding. You'll be completely defenseless to incoming attacks, because you can't block or parry. It should be possible, to the same extent as you can block with 2-handed weapons (Take less damage, and have the ability to try and bash people to stop spells and power-attacks) The animation when standing -still- with two one-handed weapons looks pretty cool, but if you just adjust your view slightly to the side, your eyes flap down into another position, and if you have to adjust it a little more than that, and do it slowly your arms will be flapping up and down as if you're trying to take off from the ground - it looks kinda silly, and I'm not sure how or what to do about it, but something definately should be done.
  5. Okay... Just uhm... How do you fit roulettes and slot machines into a medeival-style fantasy game? Black jack? Not sure when that was invented either, but... How about something that would actually suit the lore/story of the game? Dices, betting on fights, card draws?
  6. Add lances and spears (!) so you can charge down your enemies. I'd say blocking should be harder though, and that you can't block on the right side of the horse (possibly parry instead?) and that it will generally be harder to hit people, but that you'd get a bit more power in your swing.
  7. I actually think I'll have to dissagree. Dwarves aren't part of the lore in TES. Dwemer are, as mentioned, a Mer-race (elf) which had about the same size as a common man (Dwemer ghosts can be encountered in Morrowind). And making them playable? Nah, they're supposedly all dead by now, reviving them would be weird. Hadvar asks; 'Who are you?' You: 'I'm a Dwemer, tee-hee.' Captain: '.... Take that prisoner aside for questioning and disection.' Though I usually love dwarves, they haven't got a place in TES.
  8. I believe there's a topic about this already, and that people generally agreed that it's anoying enough as it is having one follower blocking the doorways you want to go through and setting off traps that can be quite lethal. There's one mod that allows you to keep your follower when you get additional quest-followers (http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=765).
  9. I'm not certain, but I believe the armor is part of the model for the atronatch itself. Not sure if that makes things complicated, or if it's even so. Otherwise it would be kind of neat.
  10. Sounds like a great idea. After all, being a thane is basically equivelant to being a knight or baron in terms of social ranks, except we didn't have the 'european' society in Scandinavia at the time - but it would suit Skyrim. It's not that you just get to buy a castle to live like a king over your own little hill, but that you'll actually have duties to your Jarl (which in-game has the status of a King), to protect your part of the border, collect taxes, oversee any productions (mines, lumbermills, farms) and keep up trade relationships with your neightbors. I'm not a modder myself, but by now it sounds rather complicated without even having a construction kit. Another thing I've seen many people speak of is how little there is to do as, for example, a Vampire. How about ruling your own little vampiric keep and either fend off the Jarls and any intruders (I bet the Companions and those vigilants would just love to throw themselves into battle with your little population). Just an idea of how one could grab a bit more of a friendly foothold where you don't have to sneak into a house every now and again to avoid being bashed over your head on sight for being thirsty (Thinking a dungeon with fresh prisoners, like the Dawnstar Sanctuary, on whom you may feed - and throw NPC's you don't like!) Either way, having a little keep or even a tower somewhere with a couple of guards and other NPC's to rule would be neat.
  11. I've never really cared to stick around the house watching my wife, but I agree her life appears quite dull at times. On the other hand, it feels rather weird to tell 'Go to bed, woman, I want to watch you sleeping instead of cooking!' I like the kissing idea, and the idea of having children (which would have course require their own stuff to do once they'd grown to be children - How about the tag playing like the kids in Solitude?), but I'd prefer if the spouses were to sleep, read books, eat and all that on their own accords rather than being ordered around. Also, the wife you have, Camilla, does have a friend seeing her every now and then I believe? (Either that elf, or Sven, depending on how you do with the side-quest in Riverwood) (And that made me feel like smashing the guy over his head as his intensions were rather clear from the mission when I was married to her!) I think it would be nice if you could buy your spouse a couple of clothing sets, which she will then randomly change to every morning - and there's another thing one could add to their house chores - washing clothes, and sweep if they don't already do that.
  12. I agree, both woodcutting and mining is rather dull at present, but I think it would feel unrealistic if one were to simply speed it up or skip it completely. Woodcutting feels quite redundant in general, seeing as it's just a slow gold-making progress with little benefit compared to what one would earn in the same time hunting down bandits (unless there's some other mod making use of it I've missed?) The suggestion with the arrow going up and down a bar sounds like it's at least more interractive than simply staring at your character whilst rolling your thumbs. Not sure how difficult it would be to make, though.
  13. Helloes. I just got my smithing skill up enough to make Ebony armor on my new char, and with Zalzama's armor re-texture it's looking awesomenessy! (http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1376) There's just one little thingy, and that's the helmet. It's cool, but it doesn't quite fit in, and I sort of wish to see a bit more of my character's face rather than some bulky helmet. So, what I'm asking for is that a kind modder would grab a.... Circlet, is it? The crown thingy, make it a bitsie darker to suit the ebony armor, and then swap it for the helm model. Thanks in advance. - Riffzor
