  1. Thank you both, I'll try this and see how it goes. Wish me luck.
  2. Here are some pics for context. In nif skope it looks fine but looking at Trudy (who I was using as a test) her hair seems fine until you see the bald spot on her head. It used to be much worse until I messed with the shape of her head. This is on the more moderate scale. Some heads are worse. Not sure how to fix this in nif as nif is showing it as fine but in game its not.
  3. Thanks I'll try this. I have nif but never really messed with it. Will see how it goes.
  4. So have this problem. I have like most downloaded mods that add more hair styles to the game. Only issue is they do not fit. As in like the head clips through the hair or the hair is not positioned correctly. Leading to stuff like "bald" patches which is just the head clipping through the hair. Or like the hair being positioned wrong so it clips into the forehead. This is rather annoying and I am only using it on vanilla races which are supposed to be compatible with this stuff. I am asking if there is anyway to fix this in the geck or anyone knows any tips to fix it?
  5. T Its probably that but how exactly would one "fix" distant lod? TWMP does not add cities. Its all open world in the Tamriel worldspace so no go for that one. I was editing blank land that had been "uncolonized" as it were. Nothing was there but the distant lod is f*#@ing up.
  6. Yep, working with the TWMP. My biggest theory is it might be the Tamriel heightmap itself. TWMP for context is a collection of mods that remove the borders and make all of Atmriel visitable. Some locations have actual cities modded in while other have only markers for their rough location. Morrowind had neither due to Morroblivion so was going to try and add stuff there. You probably have the right idea only issue is it not showing up in the CK. My other issue is the ash texture I was using WAS working but now its not for some reason and is now purple meaning the game cannot find it despite having been used to it.
  7. Got the images now. The first one is the hill. Second one is in the hill which you can just walk through. The hill is not supposed to be there. Also a new issue cropped up. In the first image that's an ash texture on the ground. Now for some reason the texture is purple meaning that the game is not finding it for some reason. This is really starting to piss me off.
  8. IDK if this image will imbed but this is the issue. I am using the TWMP so using Tamriel heightmap and such. Trying to make a city in Morrowind. When you get there there is this hill in the middle of the city that does not appear in the creation kit. It also does not seem to exist as you can walk through it and then you see the rest of the city though you can also see the "hill" again. I just want an explanation for why this is and fixes if any. Is it due to the heightmap? Sorry if the images do not embed.
  9. Might as well add, any tutorials on editing and making world spaces and messing with GECK is too confusing. I can't tell what is and isn't underwater, or what I am even editing. I just really need someone to help me out.
  10. I am a noobie at terrain modding and just experimenting with it at this point but ran into this problem. These dark splotches show up when I am modding and I have legit no idea what they are or what this is? Even when I move around they follow me. I need help from someone more experienced on what I am doing wrong or why this is happening. The above pic is what it looks like on my screen. While I am also here the GECK often crashes even with the extensions especially when making new land such as editing land heights. This is making modding it impossible. It seems that its crashing due to the new world space. As editing the wasteland does not crash. Edit: the images did not embed so attaching them.
  11. Just cure her. That's a possible option in game but can also be done with mods. I mean if you are that intent on RPing you can just cure her at the end and make her give up being a vampire. Or have her be the token good vampire or something like an Alucard.
  12. https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/629975-tesv-papyrus-flagsflg-is-missing/ https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/2907794-tesv-papyrus-flagsflg-file-not-found/ So yeah basically the same thing. I managed to get the file. One from the rar in game another off of nexus. I just don't know where to put it to create in game scripts in the CK. Where is this supposed to go?
  13. Well now I feel like an ass since now I know how to do what I originally asked... but now the dialogue options are no longer popping up. Which they were working before. Even when making a test esp and going back to the roots of that Bendu quest tutorial the dialogue won't show up. Even when trying to just make something as simple as "hi how are you" FML Thanks to the people who tired to help though as I cured one problem thanks to you but now have an entirely new one.
  14. So I know how to create dialogue and its branches in the CK and how to apply that NPCs. I am also content with the recording just being silence and reading off the subtitles. The problem is I can;t even do that so I run into the problem where I can't even read the subtitles of what the NPC is trying to say as it just cuts off too quickly. I don;t have a microphone I own that can connect to my comp nor do my comp have a built in one and it seems CK won't work with me unless I have one of those. Everytime I git record nothing happens. It won;t even record silence. I've looked over the web for tutorials on this but each one assumes that the modder will have a recording device on hand and are not what I am looking for. Is there a way to record silence just to read the NPCs subtitled dialogue or even somehow use a wav file that is just silence so one can read their subtitles?
  15. Think it wouldn't matter. Already Galmar always explains that the Stormcloaks will take anyone as long as they fight for them and the cause and not for selfish gain like money. There are some other factors: One of the complaints the Nords have when you first walk in is that the dark elves do not help the Stormcloaks. By helping them there is no reason for them to dislike you. Dunmer aren't a hive-mind and while there are Dunmer that are vocal anti-Nords there are also Dunmer that think that their kin are being too whiny in Windhelm which is a criticism shot at the one who owns the New Gnisis corner club. The Thalmor look down on Dunmer so there is that angle. As pointed out your character could be a talos worshipper.
  16. From NPC dialogue it seems that only Skyrim has the dragon problem while everywhere else is ignored which is a step down from the Oblivion crisis that effected all of the provinces. Are the dragon's only in Skyrim or does Alduin send them to mess with the citizens in the other provinces as well?
  17. TES is a racially distinct and divided setting, and I'm not sure it's really considered "wrong" in TES to dislike or even hate other races. The Empire is a melting pot because by its very nature it has to be. And the Nords (like the Altmer) are xenophobic because that's kind of how most of them just are...they were written to be that way. But I really don't think our own Earthly experience with racism has anything to do with some completely fictional fantasy setting like TES. For one thing, RL racism is a misnomer...we are all the same race. In TES, they are actually different races (vast DNA differences if you will) and even those are divided into subgroups with distinctly different physical abilities (humans: Nord, Redguard, Imperial, Breton). A Nord being "racist" to a Breton would be the real-life equivalent of a human being racist to a chimpanzee. And a Nord being "racist" to an Argonian would be the real-life equivalent of a human being racist to a dolphin. Games like TES (and the vast majority of all fantasy rpgs for that matter) rely on distinct species, or "races", for both visual variety as well as the more important aspect of giving the player much needed customization and uniqueness when engaging the narrative. Plus, it's just cool to get to RP things that look elvish, dwarvish, feline, etc. I mean, if you can't support a certain culture in a fantasy RPG setting because there's evidence of even minor discrimination to another "race", then you might think about playing a different game. Although you'd be hard put to find one that is 100% non-discriminatory/racist. It's a game. It's not meant to mirror real life. 1) I really don't think the Nords are, by nature, xenophobic. I think there are some Nords who are using Ulfric's campaign as an excuse to act like a$$holes to certain non-Nord residents, but that's only a small minority of a certain city. I think Nords rather are proud of their heritage and their culture. Having pride in one's culture and being xenophobic can sometimes overlap, but the two aren't necessarily one in the same. The Nords respect martial prowess, honor, loyalty, great feats of courage and strength. They're basically TES' version of the vikings (or at least how we have pictured the vikings). The Nords can and do respect non-Nord races that espouse the characteristics they hold so dear; there are examples of this in many of the holds. The Nords also have no ambition of racial/cultural purges and world domination, unlike the Altmer who are explicity trying to conquer the known world and subjugate all non-elf races. All that said, TES is a medieval world, and people are largely unconnected with one another due to time of travel, geography, ect. So it is to be expected that the people of one culture or race would be at less skeptical, if not outright hostile, towards peoples of another race or culture. The fact that non-Nord races are allowed to reside in Skyrim (heck even full-blown Orc camps are allowed there) shows that the Nords have at least some measure of tolerance for other peoples. 2) While we are all one human race, there is in fact a lot of genetic variation among the different peoples of the world. It is a subject that has, in recent times, become taboo to discuss (largely because of PC culture), but they do exist. The differences in racial genetics, or whatever you want to call it, has a scientific basis to it. 3) There is a history of racial conflict in Skyrim. Nords vs Snow Elves. Dunmer vs Argonians. Altmer vs everyone. Orcs vs Bretons. TES and all of its games were intentionally written with these kinds of tensions and conflicts in mind. And I don't think it's far fetched that TES writers borrowed ideas from real world history to develop these lore aspects. Never really found the Nords racist TBH. I always feel that a lot of people are pushing a cosmopolitan view on them and I don't think that the natives of the other provinces would be very happy if a bunch of outsiders were trying to change their culture or there was too much of them. A bunch of Argonians in Morrowind comes to mind on how well that would go down.
  18. Also another minor road bump "create the follower according the tutorial, 8even f the face is not working it's not a problem you'll fix it later.just setr all the things u have to and save. IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the meshes you MUST load are those from ECE folder (not chargenmaking exension). THE TRI FILES ARE THOSE U NEED THE MOST!eyesfemalechargen.tri femaleheadchargen.tri FemaleHeadraces.tri femaleheadbrowschargen.tri mouthumanchargen.triyour face is saved in those files. (if someone is gonna turn ur npc into a follwer send thse to him with the npc file.)" That's from your tutorial. There is no ECE folder in my data. I downloaded it via mod manager and if that's a problem I'm not intelligent enough to download and install ECE manually without everything going to s#*!.
  19. Just a quick question. Must they be standalone?
  20. I'll looked around on various forums but nothing that has been able to help me. I understand how to do things like spf savename or SavePCFace FileName to export head parts. However that only saves the head's shape but doesn't keep the anything else that you may have created in the ECE or racemenu such as the hair you have have given them or edits to things such as the shape of their eyes. What I basically want to know if there is a way to completely save everything you've edited to your player character in game and make him or her a possible NPC and follower using either ECE or Racemenu?
