  2. Thanks, Hanaisse! I've already figured that out. The Y-angle was wrong. I've fixed it. Now it looks fine: In my case, there were 'correct' decals nearby, so I just needed to compared the pos. and angle. Also "Skyrim Improved Puddles 1-1a" solves the issue by disabling some of the default decals and replacing the others with the new TXST. It looks like this: I tend to solve issues as soon as I set them to a public discussion. Without that I can struggle with them for years, apperently. :) Now I know more about decals. And you give me more information I definitely need. So, thank you again. But, I found no way to set decals visible in CK render window. Markers, Yes, but the very textures are no visible...
  3. I am trying to solve a puddle puzzle. See, this is a troublemaker puddle in Windhelm outside the Eastern Gate that has been driving me crazy for the last few years: For some reason in game this decal shows up cut in half. While its comrades stay in one piece. First please, tell me if you can guess the reason for that obnoxious behaviour that freaking puddle demonstrates towards me! And as an additional question: Can I check puddles to be visible in CK's render window somehow! I know I can toggle the arrow marker to show up in the window, but I need the decal itself be visible. Please, help! Because it is obvious that the texture mods only change texture, but this isn't a matter of texture.
  4. This is an idea I've got recently. Imagine how it would be cool if there were something to read in those books, not only a beautiful cover and a nice sound effect when it disappears! We have quite a lot of theory oriented books in game (Lunar Forge, Alchemist' Diary, How to use different kinds of weapon), but spell tomes for some reason are not among them. You just learn them new spells with the snap of your fingers. I wish educational process was that easy in real life! We should do something about that, don't you think? This is how I see it gameplay-wise. Very simple. You open the book. You read it to the last page (!). You close the book. And... Bam!.. like magic... it disappears. You are startled. But you did it. You read it. It was interesting, informative, stylish (in accordance with the style of Skyrim lit). If you want to read it again you have to find another copy of that tome. Read that one and it will disappear again (or not, I haven't decided yet). So, what do we need for that purpose? A new text an edited script (? I guess) and a person or a few persons who will implement that I hope this idea will find a mighty wizzard modder who will bring it to life! I know there are people out there who love literature and can actually write a book. I wish everyone a Happy New Year! And let me know what you think about all that jazz! :)

  6. I am using Mod Organizer and I am on Legendary Edition. I am having the SKYUI ERROR CODE 5 message popping up during or after using a workbench, providing I've consumed a blacksmith's potion. If I drink a blacksmith potion weird things start happening: no interact option for a while, force exiting workbench menu, and error message on top of that. The message is about 'Incompatible menu file (inventorymenu.swf)'. I have no such a file in DATA folder. I only have the one in SkyUI.bsa. So what should I do?
  7. Suppose you're editing a body mesh. You open up your nif with NifSkope. "Has Normals - Yes" or "Has Normals - No"? Is it crucial for a NiTriShapeData? Does this section "Has Normals" ever make sense? When it is "Has Normals - Yes" it really has some data underneath, say Normals, Tangents, Binormals. And the mesh render looks different in NifSkope. Does it look different in-game under any conditions? --------------------- I wish I can figure this out once and for good!
  8. Oh, no notifications again! Never mind. Yes, I extracted the original mesh from "Skyrim - Meshes.bsa". I always make sure if it's not overwritten by USLEEP or any other mod. Thank you for your reply!
  9. I am trying to solve a Skyrim LE problem with Wolf Armor male version behaving in a completely weird way. While some animation like sitting works just fine with this armor: http://images.vfl.ru/ii/1618404109/86db5fa6/34078110.jpg in other cases SkirtFBones seem to do not 'respond' to animated skeleton changing its position according to actors movements, and you can see these terrible gaps appear: http://images.vfl.ru/ii/1618404600/7b73ce01/34078269.jpg http://images.vfl.ru/ii/1618404121/ff1a799a/34078113.jpg I checked the mesh, the 'skirt' area. It seems to only be 'attached' to skirt nodes, like SkirtFBone3, 2, and 1, but it has no attachments to Thighs, unlike the 'trousers' area which is attached to Thighs. I wonder if anybody else never noticed or experienced this issue? And of course I am looking forward to finding the solution!
  10. Is it possible to make a High Resolution version of vanilla mountainflower without loosing original game concept? I am aware of retextures existing. I am looking for the same thing HighResTexturePack and Unofficial High Resolution Patch does keeping things close to vanilla. Unfurtunately none of those cover mountain flower textures.

  12. Is it possible to make an alternative AA out of facegeom nif model? I can make a complete set of character assets: body, hands, feet, head All these assets I can make more glossy and specular. I can make all those changable in-game, except for the head. For now I have to exit the game to swap actor's facegen nif. A helmet covered slot 31 Hair. Why not to make a 'face mask' to cover 130 Head, 230 Head, 143 Ears? I know it all may sound noobish, but I am still asking.
  13. Oops! No notifications again... Yes, I am at Skryim LE. Thank you for your wish to help me out! The problem vanished, got solved on its own. Not sure what happened, the things just turned back to normal state.
  14. I've bumped into a very odd thing, a bug, actually a lag. Been previewing animation idles in CK. Made some changes to preview window zoom speed (lessen it significantly). Also been boosting in and out animation play speed. Now when I get Skyrim launched, I keep getting an outrageous fps limit, that is 4 frames per second, no more no less (the engine is locked to 4 fps) !!! :pinch: FPS rate do not change depending on location as they used to do. Even coc quasmoke is lagging, even load screen is lagging in the most unforgiving way one can imagine. As I did not make any changes to .ini files other than SkyrimEditorPrefs.ini, my first thought was to simply Hide that file (as it's being generated by CK). Unfortunatelly that didn't help. So I ended up here asking for your advice!
  15. That's not the case. Body doesn't change its scale. The problem is them HANDS and only hands tend to grow huge as compared to the body. And I am talking of no furniture, I am talking of animobject idle animation. For example NPC is playing cheer up animation with a tankard in her right hand and waving with the left one (you know that piece of animation which looks so clumsy when performed by female character). While she's at it both her hands are twice as big as when she's standing still or just walking around. I think the problem is about the hands size being brought to accordance with the anim object, which is the tankard in this case. But I may be wrong. But, guys it has nothing to do with furniture or rescaling the whole NPC.
  16. For example while the female NPC is playing animobjectcheers idle or any drink and eat idle their hands grow significantly big. Why? And how that can be helped? I have checked both FNIS's GENDER specific animations and SKELETON arm fix. As I can see they don't solve the issue. So, I would like to find the solution, mayhaps already on the Nexus.
  17. Guys, you two are talking of interesting things, but I think it's too complicated to implement what you suggest here. It's all about personal tastes, interests, and preferencies. At the same time all these things can be easily found in real life social and personal relationships, can't they? In Skyrim we even have no opportunity to have a random talk to our companion, to ask what do they have on their mind, how do they feel... :sad:

  20. You will also need to learn how to use Tes5Edit. It's much easy to disable objects and save changes as an esp with the help of Tes5Edit and without launching CK.
