Okay small update, i finish retopo-ing my corset. I need get some boots for this character. I know i want something like knee high but i can't find something i like. I'm open for some suggestions (preferable pictars). Also, the shawl and the skirt plan to be fur lined like picture under "Fur Reference". If you look at my concept art closely you should be notice where the fur is going to be placed on my outfit. Also a quick silhouette check to make sure the character gesture is there. As always feedback and suggestions are always welcome. @thor -I plan to try extending the cloth but I just look at your post as I posted this one. Fur Reference: Screen Images:

I will have to say I like my avatar to have bust and butt, although i agree with you about the costume to give more interest compared to Bethesdas'. I can't say I'm against skimpy clothes and armor (all i mods i mad so far are these). But I do like have some armors/clothes that covers up as well. Sometimes i just want run around and look as Donmuerte says a porn star :P and other times look like civil. I like variety of clothing/armor. Also my question is to you guys since you aren't fans of skimpy clothing/extreme tight fitting clothes that bare covers up anything, are things that accent feminine features like a corset, tube tops, etc okay in your book? I guess what I'm trying to say is what is "too sexy" and what just enough in your book. As I mod clothing/armors myself I'm, curious on what guys count as sexy but not "too sexy".

I don't know much about Softimage myself and i never heard of anyone using it for making 3D models. Since its by Autodesk and Autodesk major 3D model program are 3DS Studio Max or Maya i would have bet that Softimage what your looking for (but again I could be wrong). Also 3DS Studio Max and Maya both cost a lot of money(unless you have educational version of it). A good free 3D model program to use is Blender. It has bit of learning curve because most of the program is driven by shortcuts, but once you have interface down, its free its easy to use. The version your going to need for import and export Skyrim model is 2.49b (lastest is 2.6), you'll have go digging around on how import and export using blender(I use 3ds max to import and export so I have no clue). As for learning the basics of 3D modeling I suggest Model UV and creating a Manga Character at cg tuts, (this was probly the first tutorial look at as 3D artist) it was fairly insight to me when i started out. Also this tutorial is in Blender 2.49b. Link: http://cg.tutsplus.com/tutorials/blender/model-uv-and-texture-a-complete-manga-character-in-blender-day-1/ As for Tips: -3D modelling is an art form, it take practice. Don't get discourage when things are looking so good, I know my first couple models i did where completely awful. -Before you sit down at your 3D modeling Program, sketch out what you plan to model from multiple views. This allow you think of the object as whole not just 2D picture or idea in your head. From experience not everything on paper will translate the same way on 3D model. -Use Reference pictures! Using references before you and while 3D modeling can significantly boost the quality of models or designs. -3D models(inside games use texture maps), no matter how well you create a models, if the texture aren't good the model will look bad. Texture can make or break models. -And lastly, practice makes perfect & have fun! Don't forget to enjoy yourself while your designing and creating your models!

I've working on custom mage set of armor for my lovely character. I felt like I need more elegant looking set of magic armor. I started with CBBE base mesh inside zbrush and quick make 3D sketch of armor that I drew on paper. I plan to re-topologize it in blender and continued sculpting. I also push the breast in and up to add little at little more cleavage(this model is max of curvy set of CBBE). Since this a sculpture and not the final model I pretty sure it won't as busty with textures(the picture I show its little to top-heavy for my taste). Also there is a weight slider to use, so I'm not too worried. This is an early work in progress. Also i know I'm not best sketcher in the world (bad anatomy)but its something to put outfit on. Also i have no clue what I'm doing for the boots. I'll see what happens when i get there. I want it to be some type of knee-high greaves or boots. Anyway sugestions about the outfit are welcome. NOTE: the corset its a copy of the actual body, so if you see faint nipples its because of that. I plan to recreate the mesh in blender as clean up soo don't worry it wont be in the final version. Female Daedric Armor Design, Variant
FallenJudge replied to FallenJudge's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Okay, so here what the back looks like soo far. The dark parts of the cloth are going to be semi-transparent with some pattern or texture to it. I need to figure what to do with the shoulders or the Upper back XD. I'll do that tomorrow I guess. http://img846.imageshack.us/img846/1112/roughwip44.png -

Although there are different styles of Daedric armor, my plans are to create a different version of Mehrunes Dagon daedric set, that is worn in Skyrim, more appealing. Because of that, i don't plan to redo the boots or the gloves. So, if style varies to much its not going to look like set anymore. I'm still in stage where I'm trying to balance between news things and old things such as i added some leggings and left some other parts from the old set. But I'm trying to capture that same "feeling" to the old set. Maybe Ill make a daedric set in future. But right now I have like 3 gear sets i want to make XD. Edit: Small Changes to the silhouette i think that its has the same feel now. The hip plates sit better. http://img39.imageshack.us/img39/4521/roughwip43.png -

Here is a silhouette comparison to the old female set of daedric. Old on the left mines on right. You see how manly old set looks as just from the silhouette. Without knowing what it was I would think thats a guy. Silhoutte checks are important :). I'm not liking the stomache plates things. To me they don't look daedric enough :(. http://img85.imageshack.us/img85/4217/roughwip41.png http://img844.imageshack.us/img844/2284/roughwip42.png -

@misaltruist You do make a very interesting point of about the solar plexus. When i was designing this armor i was just going for a "cool" look. Although without that small plate there the design doesn't work as well XD. As the top of the breast wide open isn't very realistic either XD. But I'm glad you like it. PS. yes i still plan to follow the design with hip plates and what not :) Edit Last Update for the night added the hip plates, I plan to make look less perfect tomorrow. Inching closer to Zbrush XD. Also i have even touched the back, its need to be cleaned up also http://img812.imageshack.us/img812/3913/roughwip4.png -

Finally back from traveling for the holidays. @ Rolath I will have to say i did take a peak at the Ivory Tower and it did spark some new ideas, including a complete new mage armor design! I'll post soon when everything is fleshed out. Back to the daedric design- I'm not Entirely whats going on with the chest area XD. To me it its doesn't sit well from different angles. It reminds more of Super Hero suit than a plate of armor (especially when the plates where connected like original design). I might edit the CBBE body and give the breast a bit of lift. Not much just a little. Hopeful that should give more of the "armory" look and feel to me. But tell what you guys think, more than one opinion is always better. Sooo Far this is My WIP in progress soo far: Note: The one that is connect is one of early versions http://img850.imageshack.us/img850/6848/roughwip32.png http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/4260/roughwip31.png http://img440.imageshack.us/img440/4842/roughwip3.png -

@ztyherxy hmm that sounds like good idea!, Ill extend the piece of cloth :D. Also glad your inspired by it :D Also those are armored leggings, like leggings with studdes and stuff, cant of hard to explain. So her but would be complete bare if that what you meant. Umm here screenie from Vindictus' Dark Knight that kinda show what i mean. http://vindictusdb.com/screens/skills/dark_knight_transformation/dark_knight_transformation_510930065.jpg -
More; shall we say tasteful, CBBE armors.
FallenJudge replied to Stalkholm's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I definitely agree with you that I would like to see more "constructed" sets of armor rather than boobs & butt hanging out or alpha map cutting out certain part of existing meshes. But I'm not hating on them as some of them look nice. I'm 3D modeling/sculpturer myself. I Currently working on my own version of the Daedric Set. I hope this counts as "more tastelful" and put some hope into the modding world of some kick-ass custom meshes. I can't say I'm planning to make vanilla version of this model =/ (keyword plan)., if there are enough request to do it and after i finish the CBBE version, i might look into it. For now CBBE, thats my primary focus. Personally, I'm not big fan of the vanilla models myself as in fantasy game I prefer it more fantasy proportions. But that doesn't mean I won't do it if people want it, its just not something on my list of this to do atm. -
Okay, in the near future, i plan to start model and sculpting a new set of armor for my character, my version of the daedric set. Even though i do like the Daedric Set of armor, I rather wear other sets of armor over that one (like ebony). I find this disappointing because statistically (as far i know of) its suppose to be the best. Since i make 3D models all the time and I have been able to get custom skinned mesh into Skyrim, I thought it would be nice project to recreate the Daedric armor. So far its in the sketching & Designing phase. Down Bellow there is scan of my sketch, I know I'm not the best at proportion or have best technical skills, but its about armor design. Also, In the sketch you will see i didn't flesh out the shoulder because i plan to use the vanilla shoulder plates but size them down a bit. I plan to model this after Caliente's Body Mesh V.2 (Curvy Set) Link: http://skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2666 So my Major question are: 1. Is it "Daedric" looking enough, what could i add or remove to keep same feel as before? 2. What Do you think works well what doesn't? (Like any part that look confusing) 4. Would you wear this set? Your feedback is much appreciated! http://img810.imageshack.us/img810/5157/daedriccombined.png

Ohhh, now i feel dumb XD, i completely skipped over that. I thought that specularity was the file with extention "_s" but that makes much more sense XD. Many Thanks

Ive been working on a custom mod for my character, some nice undies! I Created the mesh and textured it. However when i put into the game its appear to be extremely shiny. Which its not suppose to. I Checked all my maps and only one that looks slight off is the normal map. I was curious on what order channel is Bethesda normal maps set on. Okay so in next day or so( if all goes well) Ill be releasing a version CBBE (regular size) Lingerie! The Lingerie is its own model, not re-texture, built from scratch from yours truly. Unfortunately I have a problem. I'm not sure what colors i want to use, or any patterns of some sort . To sum it up, I'm not sure what to do with the texture. :(, I only plan to do one or two color at the start them maybe add more if wanted... PS. I'm aware that certain parts don't match up with the body yet. that because i model both them with subsurf on. Also that not final normal map either. It will be cleaned up before I'm done. CBBE:http://skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2666 NOTE:Credit Goes Caliente for the creating the body Picture Rendered in Marmoset Toolbag Programs used: Blender 2.6, Photoshop CS5, 3DS Studio Max 2012 x64, Zbrush 4R2 Anyways! So Here's a picture of what it looks like so far... http://img12.imageshack.us/img12/1705/undiesinwork.png
