excuse me but what was the fix for this as it just started for me and I can't figure it out.

sorry to say this but your save is/was corrupted, suggest trying a start a new game and see what happens.

make sure all the meshes and textures transfered over when nmm installed them because more than likely not all of it transfered over which happens sometimes.

uninstall all your mods and reinstall them one by one and go into the fallout4.ini and fallout4pref.ini(s) and make sure you have no conflicting entries. also I would recommend doing a verify game cache in steam to find any missing files because its usually a missing file that will f*#@ everything up.

make sure to do a steam "verify integrity of game cache" so that steam will grab and put back any missing files that disappeared somehow, usually fixes most problems with crashing. 90% of the time its because something is missing when loading.

well fixed, now just crashing when touching the misc section...

well don't have that file and still ctd when touching the workbench, not even a freeze or error message just ctd. only conclusion i can make is something is messing with something else or there's just too much s#*! in the workbench menu... btw i have roughly 250 mods running, and the game runs fine aside from that little hiccup. advice plz and thx.

delete data folder, all the fallout4.ini files and fallout4pref.ini files, the fallout 4 folder (yourname/appdata/local/fallout 4 and then go into stream and validate cache and it'll re-download all the vanilla files and then finally launch using the launcher to reset your prefs.

make sure you have the plugins.txt file set to "read only" located in you Users/yourname/AppData/local/Fallout 4. if its not checked the game will reset it to default.

had that issue, turns out for me it was a hair mod that unlocked every hair option, somehow that mod f*#@ed things up.
