In the files area; "Files" ==> "Tracking Centre" ==> "Manage Tracked Files" (green button near top-right) ==> Red-x beside the ones you want to stop tracking. Many thanks.

I am unable to 'Un-track' hidden files. Some are hidden pending updates, in which case they can be dealt with when they reappear. However, there are some that have been removed either by the mod author or Nexus staff, with little to no chance of ever appearing again. There is no point in tracking them as they have gone for good, but there is no way to remove them from tracked files. Any solutions? Thanks.
