Yeah, the only way I can get the mods to work are to enable them in the in-game menu every time I start the game. It's a pain in the butt and I hope it changes with the next update.
-
If you can't even get to the main menu then you still have a mod enabled. When it crashes at start up 99.99% of the time it is because a mod is dependent on another mod that either isn't there are is set to load after. Open the NMM and look at the plugins, is one of them red? If one is red click on it and read the text in the box on the right to see what mod it needs to run.

I've noticed now that my stealth is up pretty high that they deffinately see my noisey companion and attack her, but they ignore me until I join in the fun.

Nonassigned settlers' activity and happiness
sirchet replied to _Skywalker_'s topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
You can also click on a settler and the first time you talk to them they will ask if they can "help out", say yes and click on what you want them to do. When you press the "v" button and enter the workshop window you can see, (along the top) what exactly you are missing or what needs to be built to make everyone happy. If it's in red you need to provide more of it. -

Thank you Maigrets , you have successfully turned this thread from a discussion on the exciting new features we hope to see here on the Nexus into just another "Boo Hoo woman aren't treated right or fairly but shut up and hold that door and pay the check" thread. Maybe you could take your self important arrogant opinions over to a more appropriate discussion and let this thread go back to what it started out as.

I'm really happy to hear there will be more to this story. I've grown accustomed to giving someone the finger and getting paid for it!

This is good news. So, you're going to be kind of like Moddb except with more traffic, right?

Blog Piece: Nexus plans for stability and infrastructure improvements.
sirchet replied to Dark0ne's topic in Site Updates
“I don’t care, just make it work” Heh heh just kidding. Thanks for sharing this news with us and helping us to understand your concept of The Nexus. -
So, what was the answer here? I waited a few hours and yes I downloaded the entire adventure. Do you think this was a glitch maybe? I do appreciate the insight as to how some folks apparently go to great lengths in order to raise or lower a mods popularity, but I really have nothing to do with that except maybe my one vote of confidence to a mod I enjoyed and a thank you post to the author. I'm going to try and endorse the file again and see what happens. EDIT: OK, I still can't endorse the adventure. Is there a way I can check to see if the download was counted? Here's a link to the adventure http://neverwinter.n...s.com/mods/245/ I wonder if canceling the download from a premium server due to very slow download rate and restarting the download from a regular server will mess things up? I tend to do this when the Premium servers are downloading at dial-up speed. Just to play it safe I have re-downloaded the file and we'll see what happens in a few hours.
-
I only endorse mods that I've played and to play them I must download them. I usually try to remember to come back and endorse the same day, or I tend to forget. The trick you mentioned sounds kind of silly, why would someone endorse a file they haven't played?
-
Like the topic says. On the Neverwinter Nexus it fails to see that I have downloaded the file and have waited a few hours to endorse.

I think I may be addicted to Kickstarter, I've made a small contribution to more upcoming games than I really should admit. ;) On the lawyer thing; I'm pretty sure Kickstarter got a little legal advice before starting it's business. It is merely a platform for others to use in order to fund their projects. I'm sure there is a clause somewhere in there that protects them from illegal activity by a user.

One thing I don't like is that NMM automatically checks the version of the mods I have and does not allow me to tell it not to. Many of the mod versions showing as latest are actually just a different version with different options and the version I have installed is the one I want and the options I want. Also, did you notice that it will say a mod is not up to date because the mod version is different, not newer, just different. I have version 5.1 installed of a mod but NMM thinks 4.0 is the latest. New features are nice, but I would like to be able to turn off the features I don't want please.

I paid for lifetime membership yet it says Premium, No
sirchet replied to sirchet's topic in Site Support
Thanks for the quick responses folks. I do understand that the green banner denotes my premium status, but it wasn't there earlier. I went to my members area to double check and it asked me if I wanted to go premium. I've been premium for quite a while and just recently switched to "Lifetime Membership". I thought maybe something got mixed up. Again, thanks. -
Like the title says. I paid for a lifetime membership, yet in the members area where it asks Premium? it says NO. So, do I have premium or not. I did pay almost &70.00 USD for it.

I find the transparency and even keeled approach to this rather reassuring. Good job. -
BLOG PIECE: Nexus development and expansion philosophy
sirchet replied to Dark0ne's topic in Site Updates
Does a modding support and gaming community site get any better than this? Don't answer cause it doesn't get better than Nexus, unless ... mad scientists in an underground lab secretly find a way to improve on something that is already freaking perfect. Thanks Nexus team and Thanks to you talented modders that make so many of my favorite toys even better than they were. **Offers up a large platter of cookies for all** -
Obsidian commit to mod support and the Nexus for Project Eternity
sirchet replied to Dark0ne's topic in Site Updates
When I see the talent that made almost all of my favorite games turn their attention to me, the player ... I get all goose-bumply. Tim cain Chris Avellone Josh Sawyer Feargus Urquhart Adam Brennecke What a list ... we have the best working for us. All we're missing is Brenda Brathwaite and Tom Hall from Wizardry and we would have all my favorites covered. Fear not, Brenda Brathwaite and Tom Hall are working on their own KickStarter project called Old School RPG here's a link Click Here -
Yeah, same here. The Nexus had sped up after the big overhaul and all, but now it seems to be back to creeping along. And, yeah quite a few of us have put our money with our requests, it's shown by the "premium" tag in the avatar section, (like yours).

This is great news! Most of us that have been modding NWN2 for a while have started to be worried about BioWare's ability to support the community for very much longer. The BioWare social site is ridiculous in my opinion, especially if you just want to find out what new mods are available. Once again, the Nexus steps up and shows just how great a site it is. Thanks Nexus.

Thanks for inviting me to this discussion. For what it's worth, I really just followed what was put out by nVidia about the best settings for Skyrim. I have to say that my game runs very smoothly, 50-60 FPS with the in game options maxed. I'm currently running 39 mods and 16 plug-ins The custom ini settings have always intrigued me, but we need to remember that these settings are very subject to each different machine and that persons perception of the "perfect" picture. I would very much like to here how you guys have maxed your performance without giving up any eye candy. I love the screen shots Morwyn Kelm, your sig rocks too. I was just playing a little New Vegas before typing this. My specs: Alienware Aurora Intel Quad Core i7 930 @ 2.80 GHZ 2.80 GHZ 2.80 GHZ 2.80 GHZ 6 Gigs Ram nVidia GTX480 1.3 Gigs (card ram) Liquid cooled also Using a 40 inch HD TV as a monitor (1920x1080 native res) Could put up a picture but it just looks like the standard Alienware box with the funny lights and faces. ;)

The impression I got from the latest interview posted on Bethesda's site is the game has been stream-lined in comparison to the previous adventures.

First pop-up I see and I'll be ending my premium membership. ;) Congrats to the writers.
