I play the Witcher games but as a woman, I always feel like I am crashing a party I was not invited to.

Been wanting this forever.

Chickens are indeed awesome! If you ever get some try to give them complete freedom to roam. Not only can they feed themselves on bugs and grass and stuff... (and the cost of chicken feed is NOT chicken feed.! so this helps!) but they have the most interesting personalities to display given free rein. I give them a very secure from predators coop to retire to at night which they happily do and I shut them in tight and let them out in the morning. Happy chooks!

Celebrity deaths have been bad. Other things have been worse. Hopefully the New Year will conjure some magic to save us. Thank you so much for the continuing means to escape it all... if only for a little while each day.

I am sort of used to keeping from getting excited about an RP game because they typically don't let you play as a female. Since I really like playing myself in another world this is a big obstacle and disappointment for me and kept me from getting into The Witcher. (How I tried!) Very sad about that since it was such a lovely game. Since I can see no mention of it I assume this is the same? (My imagination has no problem being a female bear but a male one would not work for me.) Good luck with your endeavor either way.

Good luck with this. I never do the thieves guild or I use the mod that lets you destroy them and it would be nice if there was another option. I am pretty put out that they did not give an honorable character any RP choices here.

Thanks, Hexxagone. I have that and it gets half the job done but whenever the magic effect goes off on a hit I still get blazes, lightning etc... I just want the damage not the fireworks... so that I can enchant weapons and get the benefits without ruining screenshots.

Thanks for the reply. I had checked into that one and the comments section people are saying that it does not work for custom enchants. Why.. I have no idea. :-(

Hi. maybe this mod already exists and I can't find it. Is there a mod that removes all screen effects for enchanted weapons? (Both the constant glow and the effects that blaze forth when you are using it.) I dislike all the sparklies and swirlies when I am trying to take screenshots. Seems like this should already be out there but I haven't found it. I have been just not enchanting weapons but it seems like someone would have made this by now since it would be REALLY useful for people who like to do screenshots.

I've done my best but all my female friends just kind of roll their eyes and tune me out. I am a female user and (very rudimentary) mod author AND in the 55 to 64 2%! It is damn lonely out here being a unicorn! All the front page female mods are only annoying to me because they are not balanced by front page male mods. Fix that and it might help the situation.

Bethesda listened to us. I guess I have gotten really skeptical about game companies but that really was something I didn't expect. You gotta hand it to them. They listened. Thanks Bethesda for doing the right thing. You have my respect and loyalty and this game player has a long memory.

I just started with the Creation kit and was doing great but then I had to redownload Skyrim. I also downloaded all of the DLC's for the first time and applied all of the patches etc.. The Creation kit wouldn't start after that because of a missing exe so I verified the files in Steam. When I tried to start it after that it still wouldn't start so I uninstalled it from my hard drive and re-downloaded it from Steam. Now it starts up and all looks fine till it gets to "initializing windows" and then it just sits there. I let it go a really long time but nothing happens. (I used the creation kit before so I know it takes a while to load., but now it just doesn't. Then it says Creation Kit has Stopped Working. I tried everything I have found online to try to fix it but nothing has worked including adding bAllowMultipleMasterFiles=1 bAllowMultipleMasterLoads=1 to skyrim editor ini And changing SResourceArchiveList2= to include Dawnguard, Hearthfire and Dragonborn bsa's But still no dice. Can anybody help me?

Thanks for sticking up for equality and standing against censorship on this site. People who want to impose their narrow mindedness on everyone else need to get professional mental counseling for more than the fear of the sight of pixel junk for everyone's good. I am a lady gamer and if anything we need more mods for the guys of Skyrim of all kinds! If the prudes are too lazy or inept to get tagging to work they can try to keep the door from hitting their behinds as they leave. I won't miss them.

I heard about Sui Generis HERE. Went and checked it out and pledged. It was close but they got the goal and you certainly helped.

WooHoo! Been around a year and I am still playing it and finding lots to do that I never did before. (Yeah, I don't rush though content or fast travel much and I love to waste time taking artsy screenshots.) I should really throw a party for my companions. Give them each an new piece of armor or something that they would like. Get Argis drunk on mead.

I love them big, stompy, hairy Nords! Skyrim rather badly fails in my personal definition of RPG. I found it impossible to do way too much of the game and roleplay a character that I would enjoy playing at all. I have no interest in joining a group of two-bit hoods like the thieves guild or being a assassin for hire. To avoid just quitting and wasting the money I paid for the game I ended up amusing myself by opening the console often to make the execrable essential status of evil characters go away and then giving them what they deserve. As a result, I have missed a lot of the game content but had an okay time anyway making Riften a good place to live (even if the NPCs are not equipped to recognize that the Thieves guild and Maven are gone. I won't be bringing a sacrifice to whats her face or killing Parth either) If only Skyrim had lived up to it's claim of being a roleplaying game and given you viable alternatives to outright evil deeds such as they did with Dark Brotherhood then I would not have had to resort to the console commands just to enjoy the game. Very disappointing.. and I am very relieved to see that I am not the only one who feels that way. Frankly, anyone who has fun with these sorts of quests are a bit scary in my opinion.
