So I got this custom weapon mesh, I could import and see it in game and everything, except my normal maps don't work properly. The most annoying part is that it partially works, so it's not like I got the wrong path name or anything. Basically everything with the normal map works except making bump on my model. So alpha channel works which controls highlight levels, same as other textures I have edited, so I know it sees the texture and I got the right channel. If I draw random stuff on the normal map, it also works, you see weird changes on the model's face normals in-game But, if I apply the Nvidia normal map filter and make it blue like all other normal maps, there is zero effect on the model, alpha still works, but there is zero difference in how it reacts to light, flat faces are perfectly flat. I have modified a lot of normal maps for other models in game, I know how it works. It's just not making any difference.
