That's a bad thing, and it indicates incorrect data some where that is scripted and running in those cells, they fire on entry. each cell when that occurs is shaped like a giant qube. the trick is finding the walls to that qube. we have the Ck available to isolate those. what you can do is load all of those mods up into it. if it stabilizes? you can minimize it and read the editor log it makes, in there it will in fact tell you exactly what is doing what. what is failing, what is being ignored. IF the machine exhibits this issue with just the raw game and it Just started recently? it might be the hard ware / drive is failing OR is getting too hot to handle the loads your placing on it. It will seem like bad code. But it's just heat ! The thing is, it's completely random. It's not just those cells, but it happens a LOT when I come back from Solthsteim to Windhelm. Every time, actually.

  6. I might make a mod like MannyGT did, set in Elseweyr. Moonpath to Elsweyr had some quality control problems (voice acting and framerate issues) but I'll need as much time as anyone would for a project of that size. I remember Elsweyr Anequina for Oblivion, that was a wonderful community expansion. I'm a huge fan of the beast races, so I'm gonna be scouring UESP.
  7. I've got GIMP and Blender (free stuff is the best stuff) for Skyrim as well as the CS (off of Bethesda's site) for Oblivion and the CK for Skyrim (off Steam), certainly the GECK can't be much different? Can I get the GECK off Steam like I did with the CK?
  8. Why not just have a script set that handles the left hand animations and increase the rate of fire like the hl2 engine handles dual pistols in L4D2? Like say you have 2 pistols, right? Just have a script that dynamically modifies the rate of fire and multiply it by 2, and then another script handles the animation of pseudo firing alternate hands every other shot?
  9. I've tried all of the basic troubleshooting - checking papyrus logs, reset my ini files, verify game cache with Steam, and of course disabling my mods and cleaning my save. I'm on a laptop right now. Here are the problems I've noticed. 1. Extreme lag (1-2 FPS) in seemingly random places like Markarth or Valtheim Towers 2. CTDs even on a brand new save 3. ILS when loading a game from an interior cell or city worldspace, but not in the Tamriel worldspace 4. Random crashes, hangs, or freezes What I've tried in addition to the above: 1. Changing the process priority in Task Manager 2. Killing all processes not related to the Windows kernel or running Skyrim 3. Trying a solid state SSD from my desktop rig 4.   10. I wasn't intending to imply people were lazy, I was more intending to say that the option was pushed away too early.
  11. I have WMX and WME, and am unimpressed. GRA seems to add more.
  12. Something that makes me very upset angry about New Vegas is the game engine's superiority over Skyrim', and yet you can dual wield in Skyrim and not NV. They literally use the same engine, except Skyrim's variant is tweaked to use less GPU intensive visual effects. FNV= Depth of field, bloom, HDR, imagespace effects... Skyrim = Imagespace effects. Wat? There's a locked topic floating around on the Nexus servers regarding dual wielding and the FNV's engine limitations...and I have to strongly disagree. There's no way that you can't dual wield in FNV. People are complaining about "oh, it takes work, blah blah, animations meshes whine whine" I have a solution: mirror the meshes and animations. Not hard at all. I'd do it if I knew how. I'm an accomplished modder for Skyrim, weapons, armor sets, and a playable race...why is FNV so different?
  13. I know there's a mod for FO4 where you can put any mod on any weapon, is there such a thing for FNV? I play vanilla as long as possible, but now I'm bored.

  16. I really think Bethesda is going to ruin the next Elder Scrolls game. I honestly do. Is creating my own game (which I'm thinking of) set in someone else's copyrighted fictional universe illegal? Like can I create my own game in the Unreal 4 engine and base it in Tamriel?
  17. I'm getting bored with my current character. Too powerful, too many spells, too many quests too bugged to complete. I've finished the main quest, Dragonborn, and am halfway through Dawnguard. I'm afraid I abuse the console a bit much (adding gold, soul gems, crafting materials, shouts, etc) and can't seem to stop myself. Oblivion and Daggerfall are the only games I've completed fully without the help of the console. Skyrim's too buggy (even with USLEEP) to not have to use the console. Is it time for a new game? How do we decide when to scrap a character?

  19. I have a vague memory of playing Skyrim a very long time ago as a Khajiit. I remember wearing glass armor, which is how I know it was Skyrim. At one point I saw a body lying in the snow. On the corpse was a painting. After I looted it a quest objective was completed with a new one saying something like "return the painting to jarl so and so" or something.That's all I remember. Now when I try searching google for info on this I can't find anything. I know there was a quest in Oblivion regarding a stolen painting but I'm positive this was a Skyrim quest - and it definitely wasn't a mod. This was like 2010 or 2011 ish. Was there a beta leak of Skyrim?

  21. I know the title's like...looking for specific...but not know what... I know, I know. I've been through most of the armors here and I can't seem to find what I'm looking for. I'm looking for something that would fit in with vanilla, and something of Daedric or Aedric origin. A light armor. Dark, but has to offer a good armor rating. I'm not looking for a conversion of Daedric to Light Armor or anything. I suppose I could do some work on my own if I can'd find what I'm looking for but somebody else had to have a similar idea. I guess what I'm trying to describe is "light robed daedric armor". Something not too over the top, yet scary as heck, and looks light enough to actually be carried in a pack. I'll keep looking and checking here. If I can't find it I'll make it myself.
  22. Kill stealers? I play on Legendary and my Black Fox Company has saved my life on numerous occasions. One of them I can even summon while in Apocrypha. I might bring Inigo in as well, I love him. My Black Fox Company consists of Dawn the Banished Dremora, Sapphire (my wife), Lydia, Argis the Bulwark, and Golldir. I have RDO installed, so the Damn Harpies dialogue happens every now and then. I have Golldir choosing scenario appropriate weaponry (bow/1h/2h), Lydia's my archer, my wife Sapphire is my melee engager, and Argis is my tank. Dawn is my side chick. She has the most health, but I debuffed her because her default was way too powerful. She was static at level 100 but I forced her to level with me and removed a few perks. She works alongside Argis, and because you can access her chest from the dialogue menu she's also my pack mule. All of them except Dawn wear my very own Black Fox armor, thus the Black Fox Company was born. I plan to recruit Janessa and Uthgerd, and I just realised that all followers from Whiterun...are female.
