  1. I tried that. Unfortunately, that's not the issue. My header version is 1.70, same as the rest of the mods I use. It's baffling.
  2. Thanks for the reply. I’ll do that when I get home from work. What am I looking for exactly as far as a problem, and how would I fix it? The CK is foreign to me. I’ve done almost all of my editing using Xedit up to this point.
  3. I play on 1.5.97, never upgraded. Been working on a mod, and when I load it in the CK via MO2, saving the file results in some of my perks not functioning anymore. Even if I don’t change anything, just loading and saving the .esp causes the issue. does anyone have any idea what could be causing this?
  4. I was all set up with Tes5edit running through MO and I opened the file as you indicated (did these things before asking for help). I saw the float values but didn't have a clue how to modify them to get the results I'd like. But you have at least confirmed that the float values are what need to be changed. Thank you. Now I suppose it's just time to experiment with some trial and error. If I can't figure it out with TES5edit, I'll try the CK, so I appreciate the alternate advice as well.
  5. Hi. The mod is: "Armor Affects Magic" http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/6307/? It adds a perk that results in a penalty of x% to magic cost when wearing a given number of pieces of light/heavy armor. I want to adjust the values in TES5edit. Specifically, I want to change how much each piece of armor penalizes magic. Can someone either tell me exactly how to do this or point me to a resource where I can learn? Or do both? (I'm hungry now, so feed me that fish, but teach me as well so I can catch my own later.) I am not 100% opposed to using the CK, but I've been overwhelmed with learning MO, TES5edit, Wrye Bash, Skyproc patchers, etc for the last few days. Trying to avoid another brain buster if possible. Thanks for any help.
  6. Tried the .ini swap. Made the game start in windowed mode. No other apparent effect. Now using Xbox 360 controller as a workaround.
  7. I tried to reset the binds to default. No dice. I've since tried uninstalling everything. NMM, all mods, Steam, all related folders and files, and starting over completely from scratch. Problem persists. I doubt the mod creator will know since, as you've said, this isn't a common problem. Can't hurt to pose the question though.
  8. I'll try to make this brief while not leaving out anything important. 1. Downloaded TES5 via Steam 2. DL'd NMM 3. DL'd an extensive list of mods without any issues. 4. DL'd wearable lanterns (last mod before trouble started), started game and reset a hot key for that mod via the MCM. 5. Zoned out of a town and into the wild. 6. Unable to use E key now to activate abilities. I can open doors, talk to NPCs, etc. but I cannot use shouts, abilities, etc. I get a soft <click> sound, as if it knows it's supposed to do something. So far I have: 1. Google searched and came up flat 2. Searched here and same 3. Checked the troubleshooting section of the mod developer page and read the notes completely 4. Uninstalled Skyrim from my program files folder and deleted it, then DL'd it again from steam. Unchecked all plugins in NMM. Restarted new game. Same problem. Can anyone help me with this please?
