  1. Its pretty damn nice in 4k. Even with a GTX 1070 I am hitting 45-50 frames in overclock mode. I gave a good amount of mods installed as well.
  2. Got an update? I don't see it up on the nexus yet.
  3. Hello, I wanted to get the opinions of the community in terms of using an external SSD for gaming and modding. Would USB 3.0 be adequate or would the thunderbolt port be needed? I ask this because I use the thunderbolt port for my 4k monitor. Is it feasable would there be some performance issues? Thanks!
  4. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/searchresults/?src_cat=43 Here is some to browse through. Also, you can use the console to add the perk. Not sure if you know how to use the console commands or not, so... ask how if you need help. Also, you will need to install all of the mods that the uploader advises.
  5. Looks similar to mine, but I have waaaay more armor mods. Question: did you start you game with Requiem or install it mid play? If mid play how did it change or character builds?
  6. I have about 40 hours in Falskaar and heven't really explored... generally followed the quest lines while trying to have some restraint when it comes to fast travel. Lots of fun! Moonpath was also very good but not quite as extensive. Hard to imagine modders did this for fun and are sharing for nothing in return! Thank you! Edit: Craft your own spells is a fun quest too! But I get stuck on the island with the damn dragon that wont die.
  7. Any chance to can use fraps to show the frame rates? Also, you may want to give RealVision ENB a try. Personal preference of course, but it rejuvenates this game.
  8. Desktops are more cost effective than laptops, however do not cheap out on your monitor, you need fast refresh rates. "Supreme" graphics? Don't be surprised to drop $1500. Laptop $2500. Laptops are harder to upgrade, but will hold up to Skyrim for years to come and nicely packaged. Caveat, I am in a region of Canada that does not offer much competition for computer suppliers. I am the type that buys local when I can, so my opinion is likely to be skewed.
  9. Yes! I'd like to. Running a G750JW, just put 32gb corsair ram in today. I haven't had a chance to see how that help load times yet. But I am definitely interested in seeing how an ssd and more powerful GPU will handle skyrim.
  10. GPU Tweak makes it super easy. Essentially, there are two scroll bars for the GPU clock and the Memory clock, default is 840Mhz & 4008Mhz. I just bumped up both a little a time until the game became unstable, then I bumped it back. At these settings have have had no issue for three or four months.
  11. Thanks. The reason I havn't overclocked this GPU or CPU is because I wasn't sure these parts were meant for overclocking. How long have you had this computer? I have had several Asus G Series. I have been using the G750JW for about a year. I use it a lot for work as well, using 3D cad software and I perform stress analysis with it. This machine is a workhorse and has paid itself off over and over. I am looking to even get a newer one; I would lke to see the difference with a better GPU and a SSD. But, it is difficult to justify when I am not have any issues. May need to push that GPU a little harder. http://www.service.asus.com/#!downloads/c1wax
  12. I have this laptop. Yes it is good. I run Skyrim on ultra with 150+ mods using Realvision ENB. I have just order 4 sticks of 8 GB Corsair Vengence Ram to speed up load times. I am also looking to see if I can upgrade the GPU to the GTX 780M card. Not sure if I can though. Download ASUS GPU Tweak to overclock the 765M card. I have it set GPU Clock @ 925 Mhz & the Memory Clock @ 5590 Mhz and it is stable. Got about 7-10 fps boost from that.
  13. Cool! Can you please elaborate or link to instructions?
  14. Maybe this has been done or already requested, but is there a way to have the NPC's wear armor and clothes other than the vanilla. It would be neat if some random NPC would be wearing the stand alone armor, for example the Lustmord. Thanks.
  15. Not sure if this is the solution, but the Skyrim Memory Patch may be useful to you. I found it very helpful for me in areas with lots of npc's. Here is a good video for viewing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=37xAMUQc1oY Good luck!
  16. If you want a clean package machine have a look at the Asus Republic of Gamers Series. Great machines, these poeple don't mess around. Personally, I am a laptop guy... spend alot of the time working on the road. If you want desktop these guys can set you up with a monster. I run the Asus G750J with 150+ mods on ultra. http://www.asus.com/ROG_ROG/Desktops_Products/ Have a look, good luck and congrats. When using mods, read the comments and when you ctd, its not because you have a crappy computer its because they are incompatible. In two years I have done 4 or 5 fresh installs! To much of a hurry to play.
  17. That's a nice video, congrats. It would be great to see some NPCs and maybe some action sequences. Good job!
  18. Not to be a downer, but with the Elder Scrolls going online, can we ever expect a new single player game?
  19. Cool. Thanks for the feed back. I will have a good look and thanks for the links!
  20. It seems there is a pretty solid variety of environmental texture packs and upgrades. I am looking for opinions on what is the best mod. I have a decent machine so performance is not a big concern. Its always good to be aware of diminished performance, longer load time, loss of stability, etc; so when I choose I think I'd like a texture overhaul with the best bang foe the buck. Thanks!
  21. I am doing a clean install again. But slower... I will put more time into it and test each mod. I was crashing a lot prior but I was running about 90 mods but probably had 150 deactiveated. Almost two years of mods. I will be selective this time around and look for stablity before moving on.
  22. I like it, but what to do if you don't want to start a new character? I recently did a fresh install an more or less followed the steps without know this post existed. I have added few other mods like player head tracking, temptress race (the existing character) and a few other armor and player/npc beautification mods. I ctd on every fast travel or after about 2 minutes of play. Frustrating!
  23. Hello, Is there a modder out there that could possibly make this armor with the BBP physics? http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/25852/? In my opinion this armor is artwork and there is only one improvement to be made... Bouncy, bouncy, bouncy... I understand there is permission issues and all that, but it would be fantastic! Thanks for considering.
  24. A mod that would identify the specific mod conflict that caused a ctd or freeze.
