  1. I want a return of the mod that took care of the planet scanning and the hacking minigames in ME2.
  2. After a couple of years, I wanted to play another round of ME3, using texmod. I have a script that names and renames the necessary files for using texmod with origin and it went flawlessly in the past. But now I#m running into the following problem. The script does what it's supposed to do, renaming the files. But when I try to start the game over origin, texmod isn't called up, although it's named MassEffect3.exe, instead I get an Origin window telling me ME3 isn't installed. The same happens when I manually name and rename the files. Texmod is a no show and I get the error message. Does anyone know if Origin made it impossible to use texmod and how to circumvent this problem?
  3. I was looking forward to this game for a very long time. I watched a lot of videos and simply don't get it. You can customize your character down to the pubic hairstyle, but don't get to see it? I know, this is about personal preferences, but I hate FP. I want to see my character, customize their outfit, their looks, see their facial expressions when talking with someone and see what they do in game. They may run their immersion argument at nauseum, my kind of immersion looks differently. Sorry, but no third person, they won't see my money. And I doubt, a mod will change that. There's just too much missing, such as the aforementioned facial expressions and lip sync. If they haven't included that in the first place, it's just not there.
  4. Vegetable starch is the vanilla way to create adhesives.
  5. That's why I recommended looking at the system logs. There's always a part of the system actually causing the crash. And that's where any troubleshotting should start. I could remedy my crashes that way, since it was my GPU giving up and buying a new card was in order.
  6. And yet that's the place you should be looking at. The papyrus log is next toi useless and the CC errors are common. As I said, look under event viewer/windows logs/system. There has to be a report at the time of the crash telling you what part of your system or hardware isn't agreeing with the game. Without that knowledge it's like looking for a needle in a haystack.
  7. In case of a crash, there's always a part of your system involved. So the first step should be to call up event viewer/windows logs/system to see a detailed report at the time of the crash. You can google the results of this querry to see how other people have dealt with that problem.
  8. In my opinion it's never a good approach to only use face textures. It's better to use a set of textures for the whole body. If for no other reasons apart from possible conflicts, such as 4K and 8K combined, for the neck/scalp adjustment.
  9. thank you for your advice, im gonna try it out as soon as possible... although when you said reactivating one mod per game start did you mean one body/face texture mod, or literally every mod? because I don't know if my sanity can take starting f04 200+ without actually playing it. also hope everybody had a wonderful thanksgiving ^^ Before you walk the whole mile, I would advice only to reinstall your texture mods. Chances are, your problem is resolved after that step. It always was in my game.
  10. can you tell me how to do it? like I said im using 4k face and 8k body for cbbe... If you're using CBBE as you body model, it's a pretty easy procedure. Just manullay download any CBBE texture that suits you, put it them in a folder on you desktop and replace you texture in the correspondent folder in your data. The reason why I can't be any clearer is, there are numerous mods out there that may change that folder. I'm using unique player and followers, so my correspondent folder may differ from yours.
  11. The usual way to fix it is to manually replace the textures. That may differ from player to player, depending on which body and texture mods they're using. But rule of thumb, you have to find a set of matching textures and drop them in the appropriate folder in you data folder.
  12. The rusty face as in having lost eybrows, lips and being dark brown? If so, you have to replace the textures of your character.
  13. I gather that console players are hungry for every mod that makes it their way, even if they have to pay for it, but Bethesda is losing the whole PC crowd that way. I wouldn't buy any game from them, if the usual moddability isn't guaranteed.
  14. For the moment, yes. But keep in mind, that they also upgraded the creation Kit. Meaning, every new mod will require the update. Richt now that isn't a problem, since I don't see any new must have, but who knows what the future brings with all th announced quest mods. Btw, you only need to backup three or four files: the exe, FO4.esm, Interface.Ba2 and possibly the launcher. That's sufficient.
  15. Doesn't change the fact that you overmodded your game by a long stretch. Do you really need all that stuff? I didn't read through your list, but noticed it took up almost a whole page. That's far too many for a stable game. Frankly, I'm surprised, you're able to play at all.
