  1. There's one right here: A Jon Snow companion by zlobnez It's several years old, I don't know anything about it personally, but it was easy enough to find. Maybe you can use it.
  2. ElderScrollsFan001 said exactly what I'm thinking! Thank you from me, too, glowplug! I'll be looking out for whatever you do next.
  3. Is gokuGX posting in this thread from the nexusmods.com side? "Changes to forum structure" is also accessible from the News on the front page of any of the game mod sites. He'd only have to be logged in there in order to make a post in this thread, not in the Forums, too.
  4. Thank you, glowplug, and you, too, ilawana! I was hoping for this generous answer, especially since you've been discussing it publicly. I appreciate it very much! Looks good, ElderScrollsFan001!
  5. Yes, I have the same question: would you be willing to let others use this as a resource? I really like the looks of this and would love to have your permission to use it.
  6. I'm not sure if this is actually what you're asking for -- but one that I know of is Map Markers by Xebeth that lets you place a post in the wilderness anywhere you like, with a sign on it saying what it's for. This is from the description: "Places a sign with the chosen tag...tags available: * Dungeon Cleaned * Oblivion Gate Closed * Loot Cache * Explore Here * Quest Related * Creatures Type (Bandits, Beasts, Conjurers, Goblins, Necromancers, Vampires)..." Map Markers show instantly on your compass/local map and can be destroyed at any time. It won't help you actually find side quests (so you'll still have uncover them yourself or chat with those random NPCS), but when you want to remember particular places you've already found, it's handy to have.
  7. For what it's worth, following Robin's instructions: "Click "view forum thread" in a file comment topic, type in what you want to search for in the top-right hand corner and press enter. Thread search runs and works" (which is how I've always done it anyway), I get "Your search for the term punga returned 78 results" with the word "punga" highlighted over four pages of posts. So it's still working at least for me the way it always did. Unless I'm misunderstanding the problem, of course.
  8. In addition to Guinefort1's suggestion, there are also a couple of mods that would make it safer and more pleasant to leave the roads and wander the countryside. Passive Beasts by kartikeya "removes the aggressive tendencies of most normal animals, such as bears, wolves, lions, rats, etc." (including levelled animals inside caves and dungeons). And one that I use almost all the time is Forest Friend Amulet by SubRosa_Florens: When you're wearing the amulet, "Wolves, Boar, Bears, Lions, Spriggans, etc... are affected. It does not affect summoned animals, or quest-related ones..." Neither of these will affect the "creatures", though -- just the animal wildlife. So still be careful when you're out picking flowers in the meadows and forests!
  9. I like that this thread is still here seven years in and is still being added to! I like that I've read every single page of it! (not all at once!) I like that finally, after all these years, I'm actually posting in it!
  10. First thing -- You don't need to cancel it. When the month expires, it will expire automatically and you won't be billed any further. You missed reading this in the description: "1 month Premium Membership. Premium Membership is valid on all Nexus sites including any sites that might be launched within the next month. After a month your Premium Membership will expire and your account will be automatically moved in to the "Supporter" member group where you'll continue to receive "Supporter" benefits including ad-free browsing and increase private message box capacity." Second thing -- You didn't need to have a paid membership to get Fallout (or any) mods. Mod downloads are available to every registered member, Premium or not.
  11. They were released as modders' resources, so they're meant to be used to make mods. In any case, Drahenne's permission is explicit: "Asset use permission: You are allowed to use the assets in this file without permission as long as you credit me." You feeling ambitious? Going to have a go at it yourself? If so, good luck!
  12. I don't know of a mod that adds them to the game overall, but there is a mesh and texture for an owl in this modders' resource: Birds Resource by Drahenne. It doesn't seem to be shown in any of the posted images of all the other birds, but the owl files are in the download. If a modder cares to pick up this idea, I'd like to see them, too.
  13. I don't know how much use this may turn out to be for you, but here's a possible lead, at least. One of Blary's mods for Oblivion has a deck chair mesh and textures. It's in this: Swida House . You can see it in the pictures posted on the description page. The permissions spelled out in the description would seem to allow even converting and using it in your own mod: "Useage -- You can Use this mod whatever you want. But please add all credit that in this mod on your readme." Unfortunately, the permissions that come up with the Permissions and Credit button say otherwise. But Blary may not have updated those, or perhaps even set them -- I think the upload of the mod may even pre-date when Nexus added that button, and they may be just the default settings. You might want to try contacting Blary. So... I don't know if this something you're interested in pursuing, but I thought you'd at least like to know about its existence! Good luck!
  14. Well, ExpandDong420, you sound very up-beat and enthusiastic! I'm sure you'll find lots to grab your interest and also to learn from -- the possibilities here are endless. As for knowing what a newcomer would be doing well to know -- here's a place to start: All Newbies Read This Before Posting , which is just one of the many threads in Forum rules and warnings that you might like to take a ramble through, too. If you're brand new to Nexus, this will give you a good grounding in how things work around here. Have fun -- and welcome!
  15. As a further hint on top of Striker's, you can see all the pictures belonging to the Wiki if you download and use the Official CS Wiki Backup that LHammonds captured and posted before the on-line pictures "went missing". Everything's included -- and it's very handy to have it close at hand on your own computer.
  16. You're very welcome -- I'm glad you took another look at Get Wet, too.
  17. Well, I already said Get Wet Update does make you wet and dripping when you come out of the water, not just in the rain, and here's a direct quote from the mod's description in case you missed that part yourself when you looked at it: "This mod allows your character and all npcs/creatures to become wet in the rain. The player can also get wet by swimming." [my Italics] I don't know of a mod that adds dynamic footprints -- I wish I did! Sorry I wasn't much help to you after all, but I was happy to give it a try. I hope you'll find something that suits you -- good luck!
  18. Here are a couple of mods that you might like to try: Snowy Road To Bruma by Yuril and Drahenne doesn't dynamically put footprints down as you walk, but it does add some atmosphere by replacing some path textures in snowy regions with footprinted paths. If you use this mod, you'll probably want to check out the mod list in mhahn123's Snowy Road to Bruma Patch Collection to see if you're using other mods that Snowy Road can potentially conflict with. For getting visibly wet, there's this one: Get Wet Update by Zepar. When it rains, you'll see raindrops coming off not only you, but all NPCs and creatures, too, until the rain stops or you go inside. When you've been swimming, you have water dripping off you for a little bit after you come back out on shore. This update fixes the save game bloat that the original version had; otherwise, it works the same -- I always use it, and I like the enhancement it gives to my game.
  19. Oh, I would! That's why you're Striker, not UnStriker  This has been fascinating to follow -- man, I love it when people help and the people being helped keep coming back to report on whether the help worked for them! I'll be watching out for more from you, chambcra!
  20. I hope you don't mind my chiming in -- but there is also this very enlightening and informative tutorial by Arthmoor: Oblivion: Dealing With Persistent References. I know it helped my understanding a great deal.
  21. And further to Striker879's recommendation: If you do want to learn to use the Construction Set, you'll be doing yourself another big favour by downloading the Official CS Wiki Backup that LHammonds uploaded here at Nexus. It was captured at a time when the accompanying pictures for all of the articles were still linked. So many articles refer you to pictures for seeing exactly what settings etc. you need, without describing them with words, too. You'll save yourself a lot of frustration right from the beginning by downloading the back-up and using that.
  22. I'm so glad you got it sorted -- and thank you for coming back and giving a progress report (having to start all over again but seeing you're getting things right this time is good progress). I hope you're well on your way now -- really, one can't go wrong following TESA's lessons!

    Hello!

Hello and welcome, Blackout0219-- You sound like you've got lots to keep you interested and busy. I hope you'll find much inspiration and amusement here
  24. Simple -- on the Forums side, click on the target friend's name, go to their profile page, then click on the "add me as a friend" button. If they're accepting friends immediately, it'll say you've been added -- and you'll find they've been added at the same tme to your profile page. If they've chosen to approve friends instead of instantaneous adding, then you'll get a message that they've added you after they've accepted you. Could take a while, depending on often they log on --- Pretty much the same routine on the Files site --- the button just says "add friend". You really only have to add them once, on the Forums site: they'll show up on all your Files profile pages, too.
