  1. Maybe they simply forget? I mean, you only allowed to do it after 15 minutes. It common some may start playing, testing, tweaking and then forget about it. It just a normal day for me myself. Or they comment instead. I said "most". As for the comments, while some are really constructive and grateful, it's mostly "I can't get it to work, halp pls!" or "Pls fix it" or "Is it compatible with X or Y ?", "Why don't you change this or that because it would be so cool". Then comes the modder and try to give a solution without even in most of the cases even getting a thank you. Just have a look at the comment pages. You also get an ""endorsement reminder" by the Nexus, every time you download a new mod (this function is relatively new I admit, but it was already implemented as the Fallout 4 forum was created for example). Oh and sorry, but "forgetting to endorse" is quite the lame excuse to justify lazyness and a certain lack of courtesy.
  2. I think that the unique downloads numbers are accurate. Most people simply don't give a sh*t. They download the mod and don't even bother to endorse, which I find incredibly sad. No one can tell me that click on the endorse button a hard task is or that a cult mod like "Immersive Armors" which got downloaded almost 2 mio times was only good enough to get a 1:10 endorsement ratio.
  3. Hate? There is no such thing for FO4. If you're searching for hate or shitstorm, then look at Mass Effect 3 for example. Boy, that was some shitstorm. Not only the endings but also the fetch quests, the simplified dialogues, the meh scenario and the exaggerated linear shooter dimension on multiplayer maps. FO4 is not a bad game, it just suffers from a lack of ambition. It seems to me that's it's just a transition game between two Elder Scrolls. Oh and like always, modders will fix it, right?
  4. Please change that green color scheme, it really hurt the eyes!
  5. In response to post #29876845. #29882295, #29883540 are all replies on the same post. For me 40 pages of comments only prove one thing: people don't read and just upgrade because an upgrade is available. Period. That's what the Nexus staff failed to foresee or to understand. What you don't seem to know is they started warning for months that the 0.60 version will be something completely different than what we had until now. Experimental, new path and all... As far as I can remember it's since the 0.53.1 version. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. They should never ever have brought the 0.60 version as "upgrade" of the previous NMM, although it actually is. The upgrade box should never have been there when you launch the NMM. Not because it's misleading or not clearly saying "BE CAREFUL" but just, as I said, people will click on "YES" before even thinking. Then regret it when things go south. They simply had to launch it as a new, experimental mod manager with a big red warning "BACK UP UR GAME BEFORE UPGRADING!!!" on the description page. I personally still use the 0.56.1 version and I'm happy with it. I tried the 0.60 thingy (it was the 0.60.11; I think) without backing up my game because I was about to make a clean install anyway. I never let NMM try to install or migrate my mods. It still screwed my game up. Waited for an upgrade after the clean install, tried it again, with the same result. Mods were shown as activated although they weren't and uninstalling was extremely slow. So I thought, well yeah sc*w it, back to the old one. I spent one week and two clean installs to get it right again. But hey, that's the lot of modding.
  6. In response to post #29876845. You can't honestly say you weren't warned. It's also now old news that upgrading to a 0.60 version is a bit risky. At this point, if you tried the new NMM without backing up your game, then sorry, but you can only blame yourself.
  7. In response to post #29341584. #29380449, #29406604 are all replies on the same post. Reinstall.
  8. In response to post #29311014. NMM was ALWAYS a beta. No matter which version.
  9. Sorry guys, but I reverted back to 0.56.1. 0.60.8 is a big drawback, imo, when it comes to uninstall/install. It takes ages (way, way longer than 0.56.1 but even 0.60.6). Still no queuing for uninstall. I also just saw that "Better Vampire Overhaul" is actually not working correctly, although installed. It worked perfectly until I switched to 0.60 t. File migration problem I guess. I have more than 180 mods and my game is heavily scripted. Just did a clean install for a few days but I'm good for another one since I'm installing an old version and don't want to take any risk.
  10. In response to post #28908309. #28910064 is also a reply to the same post. About the install/uninstall you're absolutely right. My bad... I did overread that part in the FAQ (only installed the new one after reading the FAQs and because I knew I wouldn't really pay attention to what the installer would say... Why is the queuing option only avalaible for install though?
  11. I'm glad I didn't let NMM try to reinstall my mods and I don't want to try the multiple profiles as long as these problems are not fixed (using 0.60.6): - If I uninstall a mod with scripted installation (FOMOD) the next time I activate it, for example if I want to change some features, the install script doesn't show up. I have to delete the mod and redownload it. - I can't queue up uninstall. Good point: - Install/Uninstall go faster than 0.50 versions. I'm currently doing a fresh install and didn't play long enough before to see if all my mods were working correctly...
  12. In response to post #28897429. Thanks Captain Obvious...
  13. The GTX 960 is the typical mid-range GPU, a good one but nothing extraordinary. In your configuration I think that your GPU is actually the bottleneck, not your CPU, which is still very good like for a game like Skyrim. While some ENBs are less demanding than others (the fps murderers being Kyo ENBs or the Somber presets for example). Expecting 60 fps with an ENB with this rig is a little optimistic even more with hi-res texture mods and so on. Upgrading your CPU (an i5 5500K is a good gaming choice, but you'll need to upgrade the mobo as well) and your RAM will help but you're still limited by your GTX 960.
  14. In response to post #27623835. #27624585, #27624860 are all replies on the same post. Well that's something I didn't know (shame on me). Done. Thank you for the advice!
  15. QUOTE "[...]Better access to mods that are high quality, but haven't got too many downloads and/or endorsements. Many great mods are bogged down way back in the pages, with skimpy clothes and nudes clogging up the front pages." QFT. By all means I don't disrespect nor discard the hard work of every modder out here, but the Nexus is literally flooded with skimpy armor/clothing/whatever mods that are always getting to the hot files just because players want to see their female waifu wandering around butt-naked. In the meanwhile other mods meant to improve the gameplay experience, immersion simply stay in the dark, which I find kinda sad. Is it possible to create a "sexy hot files section" of some sort?
  16. The problem is actually very old. With no fix until now. I wish I read you a little earlier. I've installed and uninstalled a lot of face textures and none of them was such a pain in th *ss as "Better Females by Bella natural Edition". Although it may be not the culprit tbh. I'm just basing on the fact that I've got the bug right after I installed it and I've never ever had such a problem in years of tweaking and modding my game. No one can say what exactly causes the problem. One thing is certain though, no one could get rid of it once it appeared.
  17. Bumpbumpbump. BossSugarQueen I feel you. I've played nearly 400 hours Skyrim on two differents accounts. Modded it to death. Tried every single texture, body or normal map mod that exists on the nexus forum and elsewhere. I went through countless CTDs, corrupted saves, neck seams... All the usual mistakes anyone who wants to enhance their Skyrim experience could make. But also allways found a way around and never had any permanent problem. Until I installed "Better Females by Bella Natural Edition". God I've rarely regretted a decision to this point (speaking about games, not the real life). At first my char looked pretty good until it began to rain and she stood in the shadows. The dark bug face was there and it looks terrible. Since then I've walked the known path: Install, overwrite, blend, uninstall, delete (mods, game then files, nexus, steam, everything)... Nothing helped. A clean install with a new character in an absolutely unmodded game didn't do the trick either. Moving the game to another HDD was also useless. Updating the driver or play with older ones too. The bug is still there. It happens only to my char when not facing directly a light source (I could have lived with this happening to NPC which indeed did. More than once and was always solved by removing the faulty file-data-mod-whatever). My char looks then like she is about to vomit every single piece of food she ever ate in her very life. And die. It's absolutely disgusting. Out of despair, I even bought a second copy of the game. Also from steam but with another account. With no luck. How is that even possible? What is baffling me is that there are indeed people out there which are as much dumbfounded as I am, but also absolutely no fix was found. . It's one of the strangest and most terrible bugs I've ever seen in more than 20 years of gaming. And it exists since the game came out, I've seen threads from 2012 with still no answer. It's also the first time I didn't found a fix or a workaround on the internet. No one is able to at least say what's exactly causing the problem. It's freaking me out and I'm beyond frustrated. I've uninstalled the game but still lurking and searching for a solution. BossSugarQueen did you eventually format your rig? Could anyone help? Edit 1: I've found an INI tweak in the SkyrimPrefs on a german forum. Edit the line: fShadowBiasScale= 2 I've looked at my latest saved INIs and the value is currently at 0.25. I don't put that much faith in it but I'm still going to try it tomorrow. Edit 2: It didn't work. For those who are still wondering what we're talking about, here are some pics taken from a new, fresh installed and completely unmodded vanilla game. http://imgur.com/jOSOS6k http://imgur.com/hoXVWqo And here how my char was used to look like before I installed "Beautiful Females by Bella Natural Edition" (fully modded game + ENB Grim and Somber Hircine): http://imgur.com/h30ZQxa
