  1. I am having same problem as ginnyfizz... NMM keeps crashing with same thing in end of log report Tracing an Unhandled Exception: Exception: Message: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. Full Trace: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
  2. I would recommend checking out STEP The new STEP was recently released and will give a great visual enhancement & fixes. This is the base I use when starting over after doing the STEP Guide to Make Skyrim Vanilla Again On top of this you can add gameplay mods to suit your taste... I recently did new STEP and included Duel-Combat Realism, ACE, Deadly Dragons, Bellyaches New Dragon Species, various Magic/Armor/Weapon addition mods, SkyProc mods like ASIS and Automatic Variants, Better Vampires, Immersive Patrols, Sands of Time, player-home mods, and quite a few others...... If you've been on a 5 month hiatus, I would suggest new start and fresh install using info by STEP as a guide in the process. STEP will take some time to read through and follow, but is well worth it and will actually save you time in the long-run... I
  3. All these mods are good so picking the best would be an endless debate that can only be decided by the user and their personal preferences. I decided on using a combination of: Ace Asis Duel Empowered Magic I have tried all the mods you listed, but decided on the above combo because they completed everything I was looking for as far as 'combat improvements' and compliment each other really well.
  4. Is there a mod that will automatically use your Filled Soul Gems to charge your Weapons? This would really be convenient if anyone knows of such a mod, Thanks..
  5. Hopefully directing you to a few extemely helpful links will make Skyrim&Mods a little easier. These guides give much better info than I could attempt to explain. Skyrim Mods Best Practices STEP Wiki for Installing, Uninstalling, and Upgrading mods to maintain a clean Savegame The following mod was probably the most useful to me when I first starting modding Skyrim. Its actually a guide which include a lot of mods that have been tested to work, installation instructions, INI tweaking, among other things. Even if you don't use mods from the guide it's worth a look for simply a learning tool. STEP Most mod authors post incompatabilities. If not, you can generally find out potential incompatabilities/problems from browsing the mod comments page. If your experiencing purple textures either maxed out RAM or missing files in which case Verify Integrety of Game Cache: >>Steam Library, right click Skryim, Properties, Local Files tab then Verify Integrity of Game Cache...<<
  6. yeah I have a lot of Bash Tag suggestions that I haven't patched and game running just fine for me
  7. Author was banned, mod removed from Nexus but you can find it on Steam Workshop. It wasn't removed because mod was faulty so go grab it from Steam if you want.
  8. If your referring to the Bash Tag suggestion, its referring to using Wrye Bash to make a Bashed Patch.
  9. Those guys from STEP know what they're doing, and have provided a lot of guides covering various aspects of Skyrim & Mods. I HIGHLY recommend checking out STEP The current guide is a little outdated, but new version is being released very soon so be on lookout for that. More to the point on your question check out STEP Wiki This should help get a clean Skyrim again.
  10. No, that is not normal and you have a corrupted/bloated save. If your save is over 15mb, time to start keeping closer eye on save size and possibly take action to minimize the growth if it starts affecting performance. Completed game with thre different characters and never went over 15mg save game. Are you excluding anything such as mods removed or changing Ugrids? The reason I ask is because I'm not seeing anything that would bloat your save in the mods you listed. I'm not sure if that save game is repairable, but it wouldn't hurt to try the Clean Save Procedure from STEP: STEP Link
  11. My brother is running Skyrim with a lot more mods and higher setting with a similar rig (5750 card) so graphical settings seem OK... My inital guess is SOS - Civilization has something to do with your problems. The author has SOS mods hidden because of issues described in this thread http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1375181-relwip-sounds-of-skyrim/page__hl__sounds%20of%20skyrim
  12. I remember reading a post last time I updated SKSE where a a user found that SKSE didn't have the LAA switch already active. It took me a while to find that post again so want to share it with ya'll since the most recent version of SKSE needs large address flag fixing. Here is original post by MartG66 credits to him for this find (page 3 has detailed guide on what to do with image) http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/636747-crash-fix-that-shouldnt-have-worked/page__hl__%22laa+flag%22
  13. I don't believe the mods have anything to do with your performance issues (although I could be wrong never some like Scenic Carriages) . My brother is running more mods on a 5750 with good performance. What he has set up: 1) Not using Bethesda HDDLC - Instead using Bethesda Hi-Res DLC Optimized (full/standalone version) http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/9080 2) Did have STEP with pretty much all of the CORE mods http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/11 (use lite version of mods when applicable) definitely a guide worth reading even if you don't use most/any of the mods included ---Recently he did a re-install and used the Texture Pack Combiner http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/20801 (again, use lite version of mods) 3) In CCC is able to set 2x AA and 16x AF, and when not using RCRN uses standalone SMAA for better aliasing http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/16233 4) most important for AMD users - make sure your NOT using the 12.7 beta drivers, stick with 12.6 drivers we tested with 12.7 and performance took major hit with lots of lag/stutter (most noticable in 1st person & indoors, but occured everywhere) 12.7 beta may work for the newer cards like 7000series, but noticed on his old 5750 it just killed performance with lag/stutter, reverted to 12.6 and running smooth again. Also, check size of your save games...bloating is known to cause lag/stutter/performance issues Hope you get your game running smooth gl2ya
  14. There was a thread few months ago where people said Black Tower Sacrament and/or URWL caused this bug. Here is link to that thread: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/646308-skuldafn-white-screen/
  15. Thanks mitchalek, I see you responding to questions and concerns daily in the CH comments page which make me feel totally confident using your mod. I haven't had any problems at all with CH as its done nothing but enhance my Skyrim experience, but want to thank you for all the time spent improving the mod and helping others. We certainly appreciate it.
