  1. I've loaded the exact same save game with CASM enabled and will have the exact same enemies invincible and objects untakable. Remove CASM and there are no problems with either the enemies or objects. This is loading from the main menu, not using the quickload or the escape menu. Not trying to bash your addon, in fact I'd love to use it and even posted so in the main CASM thread. But I've had too many issues with it running than I do without it.
  2. Try getting rid of CASM. I had the same issues with about the same mods you do. Not sure what causes the problem, or which one it's fighting with but as soon as I got rid of it I didn't have the invincible enemies or objects that couldn't be interacted with.
  3. I think bben46 meant the fallout.ini in: c:\users\[your name]\My Documents\My Games\Fallout3 I'm sure you would have figured it out though. You could also run the settings program again. If you're using FOMM (which you should) it's one of the menu options at the top.
  4. Can you try one more thing. Open your case, remove your video card and plug it back in making sure it's fully seated. Also, right click on your desktop->click nVidia control panel->Help->System Information. What does it say under Components? It should list the full model of your card there. If it does, check under Device Manager->Display Adapters and make sure it says the full name of your card. Other than that, your card may be going bad. Can you play other games with it? Do they run ok?
  5. The score is 1 for your graphics card? Or for the whole system? I'd definitely try to reinstall the driver at this point. A 9800 GTX shouldn't be giving a score that low.
  6. Been playing with FO3edit trying to make a good merged patch and for the most part things work well. I have run into some snags though, and either I'm not understanding what the program can fully do, or I'm completely missing something. Here's a brief list of what I've been trying to do: Move Actor Effects. FO3 Wanderers Edition adds actor effects to the Yao Guai. MMM removes those. I'd like to have my merged patch have parts of the MMM data structure, and the FWE data structure. I tried dragging the Actor Effects over, but it never gives me the plus sign when I attempt to drop them. Do I need to use the geck to add in the actor effects? Along the same lines, what decides whether you can move the records or not. Some I can move and copy with no issues, and others give me the problem above. Is there a list somewhere (I've tried searching) of which records FO3 can manipulate? Thanks in advance. It's not a show stopper for me, and I realize I can use the GECK to do what I need, just prefer not to if I can get around it.
  7. If all it says for you video card is "Nvidia" and nothing else then the system has not detected your card right. What is your windows experience score for your graphics card? Right click on my computer, click properties, then click Windows Experience Index. Which driver did you download from nvidia.com?
  8. NV4_DISP.DLL crashes are related to your video card, and on Vista are very common. Have you installed the latest drivers from www.nvidia.com? You did not mention what type of video card you have. Try setting the graphics settings lower and seeing if that fixes your problems. Since it is not specific to one action, it could be many things causing it. I'd try updating all your drivers first. If that doesn't work, check all your hardware. Is your power supply big enough to handle everything you have in your system. You'd be surprised how often having bad power is the cause of many issues. Also, make sure your card isn't overheating. That usually causes graphical glitches, but if it gets hot enough the memory on it may start glitching and can cause errors. Hope one of the above helps.
  9. Thought you had Win 7 since you said you were thinking of reformatting and putting Vista back on. My fault, I misunderstood. If you go into device manager is your video card actually listed by name? A 9800 GTX should be able to run the Desktop Window Manager (dwm.,exe) with no problems. And is most definitely ok to run FO3 with. Where did you install Fallout 3? How much memory does your computer have?
  10. What type of video card do you have? And have you installed the latest drivers? The desktop manager not starting because it would run poorly sounds like Win 7 doesn't recognize the capabilities of your video card.
  11. When you blue screen what reason is given? IE: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL or PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA Each blue screen means something different, so it's really hard to trouble shoot without knowing which on you have.
  12. LOL. It's all good. Glad you got it fixed. Have fun.
  13. I'm out of ideas. Have you tried to do a reinstall of DarnUI and let it overwrite everthing? Then install the FWE patch. That has xml files that will need to get overwritten also. Other than that, I'm stumped.
  14. Get what to show? The UI Changes? Or the UI config menu? The UI Changes should show up automatically if the mod is installed correctly and the .esp is selected to load. The UI Config menu requires FOSE to be running for it to add the config menu to the esc manu. If you don't have FOSE you'll have to hand edit the .xml file to have your changes get made.
  15. Sounds like you have another mod such as Radiation Redux running. Check you addons and if there is one that also messes with the radiation settings you may want to load it prior to DarnUI's esp so that DarnUI's overwrites it's changes.
  16. Try going into the DarnUI menu. Esc->DarnUI F3 Then turn the radiation display on and then back off if you don't want to see it. Other than that, I'm not sure what you can try except doing a reinstall of it to make sure everything got put in the right place.
  17. Are you using the latest version of DarnUI? If so, did you apply the patch that comes with FWE to make it play nice with DarnUI?
  18. It shouldn't cause any issues. You'll probably want to find an indoor spot and rest for 4 days after removal so all the cells reset. Or you may find some remaining increased spawns.
  19. FWE has bullet time in it already, so you shouldn't have to get another mod. I believe it's this actual mod in the FWE edition, but I don't know if they tweaked it or changed anything.
