  1. Something like the "Cat 'n' mouse" bonus in Carmageddon 2 Carpocalypse now (old school racing game) ? You could remove 1 arm or 1 leg and the ped would carry on hopping around or flailing their one good arm all the while bleeding profusely. I think once, I managed to remove 1 arm and 1 leg while performing a "Cunning stunt". Fun times...
  2. I'm pretty sure that the console command (callfunction "actor.switchtopowerarmor") is to get someone OUT of the power armor who otherwise can't be commanded (e.g. a settler after an attack)... Not sure what the command is to get them IN when there is no option to do so.
  3. I use this one - https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/37180 it has new faces for everybody. No longer do your Raiders and Gunners only have 2 different faces. You could even use LooksMenu to make anybody look the way you want...
  4. I have used this mod in the past: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/34144?tab=files it is a bit fiddly and requires a little bit of patience. It has a gun pose option, LMCC options and a bit of a learning curve for the poses. They can be LooksMenu customized and clothing/armour/weapon equipped as well. They even have a basic idle animation, so they don't look like static mannequins. The big thing is to not place too many too close together, as performance can suffer (low FPS and possibly CTD). I have placed groups of 5 with no problems... Hope this helps.
  5. The files are there for the armour and 2 types of helmet, but... Why are there no female Diamond City guards? Since there are no voice files, my guess is they either abandoned the idea, or the clothing is just there for female protagonists to loot? Either way, it would be "immersive" if there were male and female guards. The biggest hurdle would be the voice files, as there are none in the game (according to VFRT 2.0, at least). The light helmet could be for bat wielders, the heavy one for armed guards; inside DC, outside DC, in the Security office...
  6. I can confirm the reddit method works like a charm. Smaller files and less rigamarole than the Steam Depot method. The only thing with this method is it's for game version 1.10.138, so if you haven't upgraded all your F4SE stuff to that version, it may end up being the Depot way. The Depot method is a handy one to keep in mind for other Steam games, though...
  7. I think I found (most) of the issue... Despite warnings to the contrary, using Place Anywhere, I placed 4 power pylons and a light outside the "zone" in the hills behind the workshop shack. To fix, I had to use disable in the console and remove most of my electrical work. Suddenly, everything is working again. Many thanks to all who provided advice. Take it from me - when you do something you are told not to, be prepared for the consequences
  8. Ah, never thought of the 'disable' command. The problem with trying to remove items while in workshop mode is that the item highlights, I can select 'R' to scrap it, but when I press enter to confirm that's when I get CTD. Will try the first option though, so thanks for the info.
  9. One way I know of is to use the PC console command resurrect on a freshly decapitated NPC, but I think all they do is just stand around doing idle animations...
  10. Not sure how I did it or exactly what happened, but I managed to bork Starlight Drive In. Just that settlement and no others. Right now, whenever I am in Workshop mode, if I try to add or remove anything, as soon as I press <enter>, I get a CTD. Also, if I flip any power switch outside of Workshop mode, the same thing. All the other settlements are fine. Is this even possible? Does it mean the rest of my save is on the way out too? Is there any way to "reset" the drive in without messing everything up too? Is there a save game editor anywhere in the world that works properly ? So many questions...
  11. That is precisely it. Here's what happened: When you walk in to ArcJet before meeting Danse, there is a door to the left that is blocked (It is magically unblocked when you start the quest). I used TCL (noclip) to go through that door and completed most of the quest before hand. And promptly broke it. Anybody I recruit as a follower wants to "complete" the quest, and heads for the elevator because that is where you end up once you complete it. In order to "fix" the screw up, I had to advance the quest using the console. Everything is good now...
  12. Every now and then, when I recruit a follower, they take off for points unknown. It first started with Captainoob6's ladies. As soon as they are recruited, they start jogging away. Even ones spawned in with the "cheat terminal portable" mod. Quite the opposite with my own "insta-followers" - the last few refuse to follow and just stare at me blankly. I have been playing largely in TGM mode, just more or less jacking around. I'm at level 60 or so - could this combination be causing the issue? This doesn't happen with the in - game followers - they just simply do not show up at all when recruited. The only time I know they are there is when I recruit someone else. Maybe my savegame is just borked and is dying a slow, painful death? EDIT: This is the strange part - every "follower" who runs away, heads for the bunker behind ArcJet systems, to the un-powered elevator where I can't follow them any more. What is so special about this location? Weird.
  13. Ooh, more knowledge. More is better. Thanks for the heads up!
