  1. Ok I didn't know about the MaxStdio part but when I changed that it didn't get corrupt at all!! You're amazing! I've been struggling with this for a while and glad someone helped me out. Thank you so much! Love the modding community!
  2. So I've been having an issue with constant save corruption and I'm hoping someone can give me some insight as to what may be causing it. So I currently have around 1500+ plugins installed. Yeah I know really excessive. Whenever I start my game with alternate start enabled, after around a minute and a half my saves become corrupted. What's weird is that when I restart my game the saves become uncorrupted and become corrupt again after I load them up in-game usually after around 10-15 minutes or more. I know it starts to happen when I suddenly can't interact with npcs. I thought it was a specific mod in my load order causing the issue and so I began the process of elimination and began disabling mods until I found the culprit. Weird thing is is that every time I start a new character the save corruption seems to slowly take longer and longer for it to occur. After I disabled like 120 mods my first round of corruption would happen after like 5 minutes. I did download engine fixes and set it to handle 2048 files but the corruption for some reason is still happening. I can't have been the only one who experienced this with this many mods in their load order. Could specific mods cause this or does this happen when you have a ton of mods? Thanks so much everyone and hope you have a wonderful day!
  3. I hope this isn't a selfish thing to ask but are 4thunknown's mods available anywhere by any chance for download? To 4thunknown: Hope you're doing alright mate. Sorry to hear about what's happening.
  4. I am looking to make my skyrim game a lot more skill-based and not "I hit you; you hit me back and forth" kind of deal like vanilla is. So I was wondering what combat mods do you guys use to really change how your game plays?
  5. I personally haven't upgraded and don't intend too anytime soon. Too many mods I enjoy do not support anniversary edition so I don't believe it's worth it to be honest.
  6. I found two mods called Elder Scrolls Deliverance and Project Impact 1.2.7. What do these mods do? I hear some hype about it but I strangely can't seem to find any information about them.
  7. Thanks you guys a bunch!! I hope you guys continue with your great art! :D
  8. Dude I have 244 active mods and 650 light plugins and I am working fine. I get an occasional crash and low fps, especially solitude, but I haven't had any other serious issues besides that. To run everything smoothly it is a requirement that I have no programs running in the background however but I love skyrim so much that I don't really care lol. Been working on my load order for around 5 years now and self-learned to use many of the minor programs available on nexus to manage your mods from LOOT to SSEEDIT. It's been a blast and I have seen load orders on youtube saying they have 1153 mods in total and even higher than that! So there is no such thing as too many mods my dude. It just depends on optimizing your load order with patches and fixes, learning to merge your mods and TEST THEM (testing your merges are very, very important btw) and being careful to convert the right mods into light plugins as best you can.
  9. I'm hoping mod authors who are leaving nexus will see this post. There are a lot of mod authors whose content I enjoy and am frankly disappointed to see so many long-time mod authors leaving due to Nexus's mod changes. I suspect that nexus mods is no longer going to be the place where creative mod authors will go to upload their content since creative mod authors will no longer be able to 'own' what they have created when they upload to nexus. So this means that: - A lot of the long time, most popular mods are now going to be fully pulled and 'hopefully' posted elsewhere. - A lot more of the long time mod author mods are going to leave their mods here on the nexus but they will no longer be receiving updates. - Some of the great mods on here (and this is what pisses me off the most) have just not even been uploaded anywhere else and chances are may not be reuploaded. I really wish that they didn't just bring this in without warning us first. I mean, I didn't even know about all this happening until today. So I'm wondering mod authors: are any of you guys still sticking around to support the modding community? Where are creative mod authors going to be uploading now?
  10. Check the magic and spell mods category available and look for yourself.
  11. I have been having weird issues with certain enemy npcs and boss npcs being allied and controllable by me. Idk what mod is causing this but I just wanted to ask to see if anybody had any clue what it could be and if they had the same issue? So far when it was time for me to fight the stag lord the stag lord was my ally and began shooting at his own men. When the fight ended he was apparently a part of my party. I eventually killed him but was disappointed cause it felt like I cheated. Now when I go to certain areas I find myself controlling enemy npcs out of nowhere. One time I got ambushed by a troll and when the fight started I already had one of them as an ally and he was fighting against the other trolls. When I visited the lone wizard Bartholemow I was able to control him too right when I entered the area he was in "the lone house". Does anyone have any idea what mod could be causing this? I currently got: Arms and armor call of the wild eldritch arcana touch of magic bag of tricks cleaner races unleashed craft magic items proper flanking 2 derring do fumi's codex hair unlocker infinity like engine window jmmt kingmaker ai stolen land encounter tweak or treat visual adjustments Any help would be appreciated thanks!
  12. No I can do white just fine but turning the tone black for some reason is the issue.
  13. Having a small issue. I'm trying to darken the skin tones on some presets I'm making yet whenever I adjust the brightness bar in anything I darken instead of it turning black it turns into a reddish brown. I have diamond skins UNP, bhunp, fair skin complexions. Any idea what could be the cause?
  14. They are right in that it's not armor. If you look at it your arms are completely exposed and due to her not looking that strong, a strong, muscled warrior with a big sword could probably lop her arms off with one good swing. Also her chest is kind of exposed leaving her chest and neck vulnerable to a piercing attack such as an arrow or a spear. Plus her head is exposed too so...just aim for the head and she's done.
  15. You got loot, mod organizer, vortex, wryebash, nexus mod manager, etc.
  16. Have you tried windhelm pit arena? Also inpa sekiro completely transforms skyrim into a whole new game as it forces you to worry about timing your blocks right to be effective kind of like in real life and a whole bunch of other stuff.
  17. Yeah I personally prefer Vortex but that's just me. I have 832 plugins in my load order currently and atm my crashes mainly come from using too much memory or working my graphics card too hard but that mainly happens when I have programs on in the background. I got unofficial skyrim patch, engine fixes and bug fixes mods as part of my load order which helps to keep my game stable and running smoothly so I highly recommend downloading those. Also use LOOT to manage your load order: that's the most important thing.
  18. I'm just trying SKY female textures and it's looking pretty good so far. I'm also using mild complexion and I use NPC Appearance Changer which lets me design the npcs in skyrim to look the way I want them too: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/41135 If you like to create character presets in the racemenu I highly recommend giving this a shot and it's not complicated to use.
  19. I was wondering if anyone in the community would like to post their combat mods that they got in their skyrim game? I've watched several videos on combat mods and seen a few mod lists but was wanting to get some suggestions for combat that makes the game a lot more skill-based but also make armor and weapons feel more real. Like make heavy armor have a much higher armor rating compared to light armor but you move slower in it and vice versa with light armor. Give more advantages to say using a mace vs a longsword.
  20. Gotcha gotcha. Thanks for clearing that up for me guys. :)
  21. My sseedit keeps loading this additional master file I don't know if it's meant to be there or not but it basically looks like this: 00 Skyrim.esm 00 SkyrimSE.exe --this is the weird plugin. It looks like there is nothing inside but for some reason sseedit won't let me remove it. 01 Update.esm 02 Dawnguard.esm 03 Hearthfire.esm 04 Dragonborn.esm 05 Unofficial skyrim patch Think it appeared after I had deleted some skyrim files and then verified in steam to get them back to diagnose an earlier problem. I checked through my data files folder and I could not find the plugin file for it so I could not manually delete it. Since it has the same number label as skyrim.esm I deleted skyrim.esm but it still shows up for some reason. It does say the authors are Nukem and Elminster. I looked them up but could not find them on nexus. It's only on sseedit. I don't see it in loot nor in my vortex plugins list. Any help would be much appreciated.
  22. I just recently hit 245 plugins on my mod load order. I've so far been able to merge almost 14 plugins together with zmerge on zedit and now have 231 plugins loaded on my game and after thorough testing I have had no issues. I don't think there is a better plugin merger out there. I've heard sseedit's merger has some issues (I could be wrong on that). I highly recommend you give zedit a shot. It's made by the same author for merge plugins as I understand it and he/she does a tremendous job!
  23. Is there a mod or anything that when you open up the console in-game you can get the form IDs of large cliffs, mountain sides, or anything like that? I tried more informative console but I still just end up clicking right through them and selecting objects like activators or mists in the air.
  24. The way I see it you have a couple of options: 1. You could try autocleaning your update, dawnguard, hearthfire, and dragonborn plugins. Do not clean your skyrim plugin as I hear that causes major problems. 2. Make a different load order profile and load that profile up. Have all of your mods disabled and turn on like 15 mods at a time and start your game up to see if anything happens. As you do that, you will eventually load a group that is causing your listed problems and just narrow it down to the right mod. 3. I'm not sure about this but you can check your sseedit messaging and see if any of your mods are loading deleted navmeshes as, correct me if I'm wrong, your game will crash if an npc tries to use that deleted navmesh which could be responsible for your crashing near riverwood. 4. Maybe your skyrim game is missing files or corrupt in some way. Go to steam, right click skyrim, click properties and verify your game. I used to have crashes whenever I left a building interior in whiterun and when I did all of the above my crashing stopped. I haven't had a crash in a long time and I made sure to follow the instructions "as precisely as the authors stated for installing their mod from their mod page". I don't get why you depend on Loot to solve crashing issues. It can list some potential errors sure but it is not reliable generally for solving crashing issues. Plus with the amount of mods you have you have to learn how to use sseedit so you can make patches and fix conflicts yourself. It's not hard to learn. Good luck, hope that helps.
  25. Check the vortex announcements. I suspect it's something from a recent update that's acting weird.
