  1. none of the added enemies in dawnguard have names and I can't loot their corpse. Serana is named, but all the enemies on the way through the crypt are nameless. It is just their healthbar I can see when attacking them. What is wrong and how can I fix it?
  2. I joined the legion, took the oath and everything, now all of a sudden they hate me. I haven't hit any soldier or done anything like that. Literally joined the legion then went and did the embasy part of diplomatic immunity. Now the legion attacks me on sight. What happened and how do I fix this?
  3. Yes because a comprehensive source of everything ever written in all of TES books from every game couldn't possibly contain all of the lore in those books.
  4. Wow, big deal. You know having 2 different eye colours is something you can do too, right at the start of the game. He isn't the only one either.
  5. Why would I play a game about a dude who goes around killing people with swords? I do that IRL so I may as well play a female assassin who shoots people with arrows and tricks them into attacking their allies with magic and poisons.
  6. They don't want to stare at another guy's ass everytime they switch to 3rd person? Because you can?
  7. Where are you getting all this nonsence? The dreamsleeve is only briefly mentioned on the Aetherius wiki page and doesn't get a page of it's own. Nowhere in the lore does it state that all souls want to achieve zero sum or that the dreamsleeve is anything other than a recycling area for some souls from Aetherius. Also, all daedra are immortal and cannot be truely killed. Even the lesser daedra like atronarchs are merely banished when they "die" and they end up back in oblivion eventually.
  8. hahaha you should be a comedian. Seriously, you must have forgotten how big SI was. The DLCs may be the similar length in time, but not in added area.
  9. The dreamsleeve is where souls go to be recycled. It only happens to some souls who enter it via Aetherius. Souls in oblivion don't have that option. As to who decides where you go when you die. Providing you don't serve a daedric lord who makes the choice for you, mortals actually choose their afterlife from various "less-than-perfect" spheres in Aetherius. Sovengarde is the choice of most nords. Akatosh/Auriel actually has very little power anymore. He is not able to manifest themselves like Daedra can nor can he influence small things. Instead he elects to use his limited power to shape the course of the future in subtle ways (for ex; giving a single person a slight advantage in life and gently nudges them in the right direction, ie the PC in all the TES games)
  10. Vampires are immortal. I'm not sure Molag Bal would appreciate you squandering his gift, or if he would even care that much since it's "just a disease" and you can't be a true daughter of cold harbour. There is nothing in the lore that dictates vampires return to molag's realm upon death.
  11. I got it for the xbox when it first came out and really enjoyed it. Obviously didn't have to worry about mod conflicts then. I'm going to wait until I stop seeing all these DAWNGUARD IS TEH BUGGEDZ!!!!!1 threads and make sure all my installed mods are compatible before getting it for PC.
  12. Daedra are immortal, and the aedra reside as the earthbones of mundus and have no realm of their own any more. In the end, it depends on the circumstances of your death. Lycanthropy, being a curse/blessing would trump any obligation to Nocturnal and prevents a Nord from Sovengarde so Hircine would "win". Presumable you'd end up in the void if you were killed by the Dark Brotherhood, because they serve Sithis (aka Padomey) and he is the most powerful entity in TES. Shor, otherwise known as Lorkhan, the prince of liberty, was "killed" by Trinimac at the Adamantium tower for his betrayal. Sovengarde is merely a part of Aetherius and not its own realm. Shor resides there because he is the hero god of mankind and the enemy of all elves. He isn't Aedra because he tricked them into creating Mundus, but he isn't a daedra either because he took part in it's creation. He is one of the original spirits which the most powerful Aedra and Daedra belong too as his the first born of Sithis.
  13. So basically, OP is asking who would win in a fight where every variable is removed. In that case, whoever hits first.
  14. Real vampires will always be better. Werewolf vs vampire, vampire just picks them up and chucks them off the nearest cliff.
  15. The illusion tree is limited. There is a maximum level which you can get your spells to reach and this is far lower than what is nessercary to work on the harder enemies at high levels. A full-blown mage needs to get the special spells from completing the lvl 100 school quests in winterhold. They are basically the only spells that are any good later on. Warrior is ok all game if you can get the enchantments up, but assassins have it easy even with basic gear. I've completed the game using only the stuff the Dark Brotherhood gave me and it was a breeze by the end.
  16. The ACE combat mod doesn't make it easier for enemies to kill you if you know how to fight. Other than that, get enchanted stuff. I found vanilla skyrim too easy so I had to make it harder with mods. Either go all in for a certain style of play (in vanilla, sneak assassin/archer is by far the easiest. You'll be 1 hitting those death overlords) or make sure your hybrid encompasses enchanting and alchemy.
  17. Target them once in the console menu and type "Resurrect" and it will bring them back from the grave as they were before the fight started. (add a one after resurrect, and they will just stand up alive, their items won't respawn, so if you take all the gear, weapons off a character, then [resurrect 1] they will stand up naked. Useful for giving characters gear they wouldn't have normally. BE WARNED: If you resurrect a companion, all of the extra items and equipment you have given them will be removed. They will default to their original equipment. (Typing resurrect 1 will resurrect them as they are, with equipment and items intact.)
  18. They are not mutated cows but the Falmer may use them for similar purposes amongst other things (like eyes)
  19. or you could not cheat and finish the game as your original race.
  20. The aedra are infact incredibly weak due to the betrayal of Lorkhan, the prince of Liberty during the creation of mundus. They are less powerful now than Daedric princes and have to move the world in subtle ways to keep it as it is. Akatosh couldn't stop Merhunes Dagon from opening his oblivion gates once the Dragonfires were unlit. Their solution to the dragon problem in Skyrim was to create a single mortal dragonborn. These are hardly the acts of all powerful deities. They simply are incapable of stopping the Aldmeri domion with a click of their fingers hence why they are "permitted" to outlaw Talos. That said, Auriel is a elvish god so maybe he is happy the Altmer are doing so well.
  21. Go back and play Daggerfall. That little bit of map that doesn't even cover an entire province is something like 3x the size of Great Britain in game. Skyrim is probably no larger than a small city IRL.
  22. don't put the "1" in the command and it would revive them as they were when they died.
  23. I think I played through the entirety of dawnguard without using a crossbow once.
  24. Download the nexus mod manager and it does pretty much everything for you
