  1. Hello everyone, I encounter some issues while playing Skyrim SE. I switched from PC gaming to Laptop Gaming (Dell G7). My Laptop specifications are: CPU : i7-8750H RAM : 16GB GPU : GeForce GTX 1060 with Max Q 6GB HDD : SSD 256GB Auto detect from launcher and NVDIA G Experience told me that my laptop can run on ultra and I can run it with 60 fps after turning off the vsync (the rule of thumb tweak for Skyrim SE regarding the vsync). I manage to run modded skyrim SE on 60 fps but often there are sudden lag or stutter which makes the fps drops to 10~15 fps for a few seconds then it goes back to 60 fps. This happen often. This is kinda strange because when I test it on Oldrim with a lot of mods, there are no stutter. Even after I modify the graphic settings like lowering the textures, shadow, distance, etc. The stutter keep happening. Then I tried to connect the display to TV and voila, there are no stutter at all. I googled around and it seems like the integrated graphic is directly connected to laptop screen while external display is directly connected to GTX 1060 which is why on TV there are no stutter. However, I tried to connect the display on LG 22MP65 (which is not a TV but casual PC Monitor) and the stutter return. At this moment I am confused because I thought that by connecting the display to external screen will remove the stutter but it seems like the stutter is only gone when I connect the display to TV. Does anyone has experience the same issues or have any idea how to deal with this? Strangely I played ME Andromeda and Dragon Age Inquisition on my laptop before and it was smooth.
  2. I agree that the ending is kinda half done. I don't know whether the ending is truly gray or doesn't make sense, but it kinda bothers me. If only there's a significant after effect of every ending. Like if we choose the institute ending, we can lead the institute to totally change it by helping rebuilding the commonwealth. That would be nice. One thing that bothers me with Institute ending is the way they conclude their dispute with the BoS. Why kill them all? why not just destroy the prime and leave the others? Not to mention that if we become the director of Institute, we have the choice to stop using 3rd gen synth to keep the BoS out of our way and focus on something else like rebuilding the commonwealth. Although I doubt Maxon will agree to that. One other thing that bothers me. It seems like no one even care that the institute is lead by the SS's son. Not Maxon, not Des, not even preston. All they care about is just destroy the institute.
  3. Yeah, teleportation is very useful for the BoS to scout and collect technology in the wasteland. Heck, if possible they can just teleport to the other chapter of BoS. Even if there are no better technology, the bunker itself can be used as BoS main headquarter in Comoonwealth. I don't how the prydwen works, but It can't fly (or float?) forever, can it?
  4. I've played 3 out of 4 endings (Institute, BoS, and Railroad) and there is something that bothering me regarding the BoS ending. From what I know, BoS is all about reserving technology. Why would they destroy the institute? I think the institute would be a good place to be the new BoS HQ. Don't you think it is better for the BoS to take over? They hate synth sure, but why destroy everything? why not just stop the synth production and claim the place? Claiming the institute would make BoS even more powerful. It's such a shame that a place with advance technology is destroyed.
  5. Yeah, I think that would be interesting. The settlers, farmers, and mercenary that we encounter in commonwealth should be recruitable too, like a quick way to increase population. I remember encounter a man with his daughter somewhere. It would be nice if they can be recruited to a settlement. A family in a settlement is something that can make the game more interesting.
  6. Thank you for all the answers. I guess it's okay to think the fission cell has some kind of component that is stronger than lithium and that component can be made just like the gunpowder can be made.
  7. Yeah, energy cell is much simpler to make I think. Back in New Vegas and Fallout 3 laser pistol uses energy cell. But in Fallout 4 all laser weapon use this Fission (or was it Fusion?) Cells just like the microfusion cells. Is this actually the same with energy cell but bigger? or it's more like the fusion core for power armour? The theory on replacing the fusion material and ignition system make sense I guess. That will explain why some factions has abundance of laser weapons.
  8. Interesting. Producing fusion cell might be more complicated than producing bullets and not all people have the know how to produce it, but it still possible to mass produce them. Maybe that's why the minutemen has laser musket as their signature weapon. They must have (or had) people that know how to produce fusion ammo. Then I guess laser weapons can be considered a common weapon in fallout universe (a bit more expensive than conventional firearms, but can still be used for everyday use).
  9. I wonder, based on fallout lore/ canon, which one is easier to produce? the conventional ballistic ammo or energy ammo like fusion cell and plasma cartridge. At first I thought that fusion cell is just like normal battery, so in order to recharge it we just have to put some electricity in it. But it seems like it has nuclear inside it. I don't reallly know nuclear physic but I think nuclear material isn't something people can easily create in the wasteland. conventional ammo on other hand uses gunpowder which is easier to create, I guess. So what do you think?
  10. I agree. I;m also looking for way to increase it. The only way I know to do it is through a modding software like FO3Edit and G.E.C.K. Since FO4Edit and Creaition Kit/G.E.C.K is not available yet, I'm afraid we have to wait. However, I just saw a guy who made a mod by editing something using TESVNip. I think, that can be used but I'm still not sure. I'm planning to give it a try later at home.
  11. I was really suprised when I saw user's review on metaritic. The gap between Critic review and user's review is so big. I agree there are several issues but I didn't know it will create this much hate. Maybe the standard for open-world games have increased since The Witcher 3, maybe it's because of the hype, maybe because the game while improves on several aspect, it removes several things that was not a problem in the first place (i.e. weapon holster, non-voiced protagonist, perks/skill dialogue check, etc.). If this game fails to be GOTY, maybe it will give quite a punch for Bethesda to improve more for the next game. Even though I can't say this is Bethesda's masterpiece, I'm still enjoying the game. I think this will draws me in just like Fallout 3, FNV, and Skyrim. Do you think it's a bad decision for using the "modified" creation kit? Should Bethesda create a new angine?
  12. I think you can "park" the power armour by getting out of it near the power suit station and then acivate the station afterwards. If there's a certain piece of armour in your inventory, you can put it in the container by pressing the "transfer" when you aim the station. If the helmet is out, I think it's probably because it needs to be repaired first. My PA's left leg was broken and it's in my inventory instead of the frame, o I have to repair it first on the station and re-equip it to the frame.
  13. I haven't experience this yet. I always remove the fusion core whenever I "park" my power armour. Maybe what Boombro said is right, it will get stolen if there's a fusion core inside.
  14. If I'm not mistaken, you don't need to get out of the power armor and attatch a new fusion core. As long as you have one in your inventory, it will be replaced automatically.
  15. I agree, I just played the game for 2 hours then noticed the laser musket wasn't on my back when I holstered it. It maybe a minor problem but it bothers me. I hope it's possible to make it happen.
