  1. Yeah, I did this, but it said "no strings attached" I've gone into the creation kit and made sure each new perk is now a new object item, so i'll try it again, hopefully with better results! Thanks for taking the time to reply :)
  2. Okay, so I've made perks which effect players carryweight, I can get it in game, but the problem is I don't want to have to buy it with perk points, I want to be able to just have it available, I don't mind using the console command, but when I try to do that there is no item ID assigned to the perks.. Any help? what could I do? cheers guys
  3. Hey guys, There's one thing that always gets to me when playing adventure or rpg games, and i'm sure it has probably crossed most of your minds too. And that's the inventory, how do our characters hold all that stuff? we pick something up and it just transports to this invisible inventory.. Recently I saw the Sabre Gear backpack mod, and that gave me a good idea. I want to make a mod that extremely limits your carry capacity without the help of equippable items such as a backpack. What my mod would include: Low carry capacity, perhaps between 20-50. Backpacks which add to your carry capacity. All weapon or armour doesn't effect your carry capacity when worn, e.g: imperial sword would weigh 10 in your inventory, but when equipped, it adds 10 to your carry capacity, equalling it out. In my opinion that would make sense as I would have thought as your carry capacity as 'inventory size' Anyone else got any ideas I could add to this mod? Also, I may need help with the creation kit during the process which would be really appreciated if anyone would be willing to give me some tips :) cheers, -Vespidae-
  4. I've tried it a few times now, still crashing everytime i try to import the NIF file from 3DS max.. any idea why?
  5. Yes, I've got the NIF plugins, and have made previous items, but can't seem to extract the armor mesh
  6. I am following Officerbeardontcare's tutorial on 'How to get Custom armor into skyrim pt 2: weight sliders!' Link here: at 5:48, He exports his NIF file, but when I do it with my custom model 3DS Max Crashes and The file doesn't save.. Any help please guys? would be really appreciated! :D
  7. Thanks for the help, I've finally managed it, and have now created the item using the Creation Kit too :) woohoo!
  8. ah, Spose I'll give Nifskope another go tomorrow :)
  9. Hey guys, been working on something in 3DS max, I'd love to get this into Skyrim..only issue is I've been trying to get to grips with Nifskope over the past week, and it's given me a very bad headache trying to figure it out :| I'm wondering if anyone would be interested in sorting out the Nifskope side of things for this helmet if I upload the files? This is what the helmet is looking like so far. http://i39.tinypic.com/ric65u.jpg Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  10. Hey guys, I've been looking around, but can't find anything, so I thought i'd ask here, are there any mods which make npc levels unstatic? I am asking this because, one, I think it would be cool for followers to gain levels and two, I am using a mod called mercenaries, it's really cool, it basically means you can pay for multiple followers, but if they follow the general follower rules, which I expect they do, their level will be stuck at their beggining levels. Are There Any Mods To Fix This? perhaps a mod that allows NPCs to level up?
  11. Really appreciate your help, again :) Wasn't quite what I was looking for, but it helped me figure it out, You are a very valuable member to the skyrim modding community, thank you :D
  12. Hey, Firstly, LeckerHamsters tutorials are very handy, they do go into depth and have taught me a lot about Nifskope (the area I was having problems in) But unfortunately his tutorials follow steps in Cinema 4D, I only have 3DS max, which I thought would be fine really, but I have come across a problem, I made a sword in 3DS max, but when I export it, and import it into Nifskope, it is seperated into lots of polygons, and because of this there are more blocks than their should be, and this really mucks up the shaders as I'm pretty sure only one block can use it otherwise it jmucks it up? What I'd like to know is how can I make a group of polys in 3DS max into one polygon? there must be a way as it is a feature that really needs to be added...Any help with this would be really, really appreciated :)
  13. I followed your tutorials closely, although having no real idea of Nifskope and it still didn't work... maybe one day i'll get it right...
  14. Very good detail to some of your mods :) Awesome stuff, keep it up man :D
  15. Hey there :) Thanks, I did follow officerbeardontcare's tutorial, and it still didn't work, I'm having trouble with Nifskope, I find what I need to edit confusing, and most of the time when I load my exported object, the branches are different to the ones in the tutorial..Suppose I just gotta keep trying till I get it, Is there any written guides I can follow anywhere for preparing universal objects or items in Nifskope? cheers :D
