But Ive been trying to figure out how to increase the zoom in the comat zone so I can see more detail and get closer to the action heeh! And ive had to restart the game a million times and the logos were getting boring seeing over and over. So in case u wanna be able to skip the opening credits. Documents/xcomgame/config/xcomengine, and scroll down to the bottom and ull see Skippablemovies, and these lines StartupMovies=Logo_2KFiraxis StartupMovies=UE3TechLogo StartupMovies=LogoLegal_PCConsole U can just delete them and move right to the menu screen. Or if u wanna continue to see them and just have the ability to skip them, u can just make duplicates of the 3 movies and add them to Skippablemovie list. so it looks like this SkippableMovies=Logo_2KFiraxis SkippableMovies=UE3TechLogo SkippableMovies=LogoLegal_PCConsole StartupMovies=Logo_2KFiraxis StartupMovies=UE3TechLogo StartupMovies=LogoLegal_PCConsole So anywho, i dont like watching the opening 30 logos and sponsors of games. So perhaps some of u might find that helpful. (always good to make a copy of the config file before editting)

Im sure its possible and prolly pretty easy for some of u tech savvy guys around here! I would like to some how get it so I can zoom in even more in the combat areas. Id like to get the camera do zoom in closer to my troops if I wanted to. Think theres a way to do that? Thanks ! :)

thanks for the replies. I have tried validating it. And I have tried hitting enter just now, but it doesnt work :( Its weird cuz it has something to do with that quest The only Cure... It wont leave me alone, it always tries to activate, and when i keep hitting tab, itll let me be free for a few seconds, and during those few seconds , I can talk to the npcs. But in order to get the quest to stop repeating and freezing me up. I have to do either Stopquest Da13 or setstage da13 100 And after that it will let me play, but then thats when I can no longer speak to the NPCS. I hope I dont have to restart! I have a lot of hours on there! And I was gettin close to thee end :( Well I was able to locate an older save that I had, so I guess ill just have to go from there! O wells.

I have alots of mods downloaded. I downloaded one earlier called Scout Armor, and i also disabled a mod called Dynavision. Since then... Everytime I loaded a saved game, the Aspect of Peryrite will talk to me and not let me go. I got around that by stoping the quest via console command. But now I cannot talk to NPCS. The dialogue screen will come up. But I cannot select anything. So I can buy or sell or do any quests :( Heres a video of what its doing, just incase I didnt explain it correctly Thanks guys. (ive tried disabling all mods and starting the game with no mods enabled but it does the same thing) I install all mods via Nexus Manager.

it doesnt blast the enemy 30 feet back? Id like that shield charge ( while ur sprinting at the enemy) to look a bit more realistic. Is there any mod around that will kinda weaken up thee amount the enemy is flung when u hit them>? Thanks! -
Superl3 ENB cant seem to get it to work... game crashes

Trying to get this to work but I cant figure out what the problem is. I had another ENB mod installed , i removed it. And tried sticking this in there...but when i load the game , i crash before i get to opening screen. ( game trys to open, than instancely crashes) ( i also have thee 1 interval value changed) Now I can put my old ENB mod back in , and that will allow me to boot the game up. I can also use the FXAA injector and play that way aswell. But as soon as i put D3d9.dll in from the Superl3 ENB .. the game wont start Anyone have any idea what im doing wrong? Thanks! Thanks in advance if anyone was working on helping me... But i figured out that it was my EVGA Precision onscreen temperature displays that was causing it. Turned off the OSDs and everything is aces. -
Id like to learn how to add effects or animations to weapons ( such as maybe a glow effect or fire etc.) Any tutorials around ? Thanks guys!

ya perhaps ill look more into it! cuz like i said im still very new to this. what ive been doing is Exporting the model outta model viewer as obj, then importing to max, scaling it bigger, exporting it to obj, then importing it to nifskope to replace a weapon, then saving it. But the texture doesnt go in game and it has the gaps. So im doing something wrong somewhere!

ya its strange. I got them to work. But ur right... i had to increase the scale tremendously. And it seems after I do that, the model gets a ton of gaps and almost hollows out. And it wont hold a texture in game. So it just looks terrible. Unless theres another way to do it, i have no clue, but they dont look nice when i do it heheheh But i just started trying to learn this stuff last week , so i pretty much have no clue what im doing

I have all the models that I like. I exported them outta model viewer, as .objs. I opened them in 3d max and saved them as skyrim gamebryo .nifs. I put them in NIFskope. And they wont seem to appear in game. Is this possible to do ? And if i import the .objs. into nifskopes it tells me the nif versions are different. Thanks! Working now, pics on the bottom for fun! :)

thats why i did too, then i started fiddling with it, and seen that all i had to do is change the 1stpersonsword.nif to the new .nif and that seemed to changed the sword by itself soo i wasnt quite sure what the other was for! But , If it aint broke i aint gonna try to fix it! Im pleased! hehehe anywhOoo! thanks again ! tOOodaLoOoO! -

I made a weapon, thats currently replacing the Iron longsword. When i get a longsword it looks like the sword i made, but id like to have it just be an extra weapon so it doesnt take the place of the longsword...Anyone know how to do this? Cuz im not sure how! Also just a quick other question... I couldnt quite figure out why their are Ironlongsword.nif and 1stpersonironlongsword.nif...... I figured youd have the change up the textures and meshes for both these files. I thought if you didnt change the Ironlongsword.nif ... youd only see your custom work in the 1st person view mode. But that wasnt the case , I just changed the 1stpersonlongsword. And it changed the weapon in all the views of the game ( crafting forge, 1stperson view, 3rd person view) Just wondering whats the difference between the 2 files? ( why must both of them be editted it, if changing the one file does the trick?) Thanks!

oOo i got it now. Incase anyone else has the same problem. I didnt know that the 01 ...in id number stood for what pluggin its under. And my ESP is loaded at number 17... So i had to make it 170073c1.... Which was strange cuz under my NMM load order says my esp was number 02. sOo anyways, it works , im pleased heheh
