Have you tried the following mod yet? Many NPC do already have schedules in the game, but this adds to the list. More NPCs Have Routines and Stores Have Schedules https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/12140

It depends on how your save is broken whether the tools work or not, but regardless, your save is already FUBAR & will most definitely not work, so doing so means you at least have some chance to remedy it, its not a guarantee, but if its the few cases that resaver & similar can easily contend with, you're good to go. I have personally saved multiple playthru's in Skyrim & Fallout 4 with these tools, & never had them not work, or break it more than the already 100% broken state they were in that caused me to take action. YMMV

Mator Smash patch or Wyre Bashed patch for SSE?
macrocosm144 replied to jeedge's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I think you're you confusing mator merge plugins with mator smash? AFAICT Merge plugins is great for reducing unnecessary esp's, but mator smash is totally different thing/app, that does handle leveled lists and everything else that wrybash bashed patch does. Running wrybash to make a bashed patch after you've already generated a Smashed Patch will not work, because it will disable plugins the smashed patch relies on, and also disable the smashed patch. if you must make a bashed patch, do it before you've generated the Smashed patch, not to be confused with Merge Plugins patch which those should be done before the bashed or the smash patch. -
SSE CTD on Save After Hours of Gameplay
macrocosm144 replied to squireoivanhoe's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
Well... I found a pleasant surprise, I was able to fix it by disabling an old SMASH patch I had in my load order... lmao.... I only discovered it because I couldnt get the game to start again after doing some mod updates, it would just hang on the loading screen even though there were no missing masters or anything. So once I figured out which mod was causing the trouble and the game started I tried on a whim one of my old saves, and its working fine, I can use all the different saves and such. yay! Im guessing my patch had some skybirds stuff in it that I missed cleaning out after removing skybirds as a master. -

Yes lol FML its all good I guess, but, here's hoping since Skyrim has new life breathed into it by SSE there will become a way to cleanly uninstall mod, Resaver may be able to get us there eventually. Im kind of excited to start over though lol so I guess im not too mad, but damn it does suck lol. My Legacy of the Dragonborn Gallery was really starting to fill up too! lol -
SSE CTD on Save After Hours of Gameplay
macrocosm144 replied to squireoivanhoe's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
Well, it worked for a day lol, I was able to play and saved about 20 times, but today none of them will save again. Oh well, I think its probably best to just start a new game and never go anywhere near skybirds again, even after cleaning out skybirds there were still all sorts of spawn errors in the following saves, so you cant actually uninstall skybirds cleanly like some other mods. 700 hour playthru down the shitter. It will be nice to have a fresh new game though, been playing this one since 2016 lol, now theres a bunch of other mods I can add/remove too so its all good. -

SSE CTD on Save After Hours of Gameplay
macrocosm144 replied to squireoivanhoe's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
This happened to me on a 700+ hour playthru... I think it may have been on account of saving over an autosave as was mentioned elsewhere, but I have done that many times with no issues in this playthru. I did have Skybirds and have just cleaned it out of my save, hopefully it works... its very frustrating, because it happened just after I deleted most of my old saves lol fml... :ermm: EDIT: Well... it worked... so far im able to play fine and all types of saves work again! Whoohoo! Skybirds is broken, I wont be so nice as to say otherwise. Not because the author is bad, or its even a bad mod, its awesome, but the way its gone about is crufty, ive seen this mentioned in far too many places for a bunch of different reasons. Perhaps the community can help the author devise an alternative method of spawning birds? I have all sorts of mods that spawn a huge array of added creatures and stuff, but none of them have tons of scripts running to spawn them. The woodpecker script seems to be the main culprit. That said, I did go over 700 hours before having this trouble, so its not so bad as it could be, but I'd think all these reports of issues should be enough to admit there is a problem with the mod. Ive got about 300 mods, and this is the only one that removing it fixed my game. -
Yep, thats it, just to add a confirmation here for the next person who lands here, dont install the scripts in MO2, just put them directly in the data directory, after that I got my precious crash dump XD

Yeah, its odd to me too, I couldn't figure it out, searching on such a thing is fruitless since the terms are so generic, I will have to test more soon and see if it was just an oddity with this one setup, but for now im going with linear lol its working great. thanks again for the tips and help. :)

Yes, I did and the character was nearly black, but the texture was there, just really dark. lol Could it be something in my nif? It's pretty consistent, I tried several times more. Using the BC7 sRGB dds save options renders them nearly black, but the other bc7 linear save options are proper color and brighness.

Thanks I really do appreciate the help, its great to not be all alone killing myself with this lols I actually just figured it out like one minute ago tho!... god it hurts to be a noob!!! So... I cannot use 'BC7 sRGB' for exporting, only the BC7 Linear options come out a proper color and brightness. Not sure why, but this is one of those things you just have to learn I suppose lol, damn... that took hours to figure out. But now I know, lol, #FailForward

NOOB SkyrimSE mod question... Whats the correct way of saving a .dds file from photoshop? I have the intell plugin installed and working fine, but no matter what I do, when I save my edited body skin then load it into nifskope its like 50 shades darker. Even if I make no edits, just open and save in photoshop, same thing. Is there an undocumented gotcha in this process? Ive been searching for hours and tried a million times. D: EDIT* I should add.... The skin texture is the original already installed by another body mod, im opening that in photoshop, its not a new texture. Im also using the most recent release of Nifskope, and photoshop too, so thats not the prob.

Great interview, I was curious about this having just discovered Forgotten City is on SSE, cant wait to install and try it out, it looks awesome. Oh & love the icecream analogy and the George Carlin quote XD I was also disappointed to see the paid mods thing go down, honestly I couldn't figure what the big hullabaloo was about, over on Steam, hordes of zombies flooded ALL discussion forums and a whole lot of other BS, communist uprising? lol, I dunno... AFAIC if you don't want to buy something, then don't... simple. Not many people have unlimited time to spare, paid mods may have helped with that. It seems you still got a lot of value out of offering your free mod though, so its not a total loss by any means, albeit unsustainable in the long haul. Anyhow, you'll feel great as sales for your new game fill your creative coffers & nurture your next ventures. Best of luck to you! One thing ive told a few of my modder friends in other games, if they really want to do an uber epic mod, attempt to work directly with the game developer (if possible) and release as a paid DLC, that sidesteps the biggest problem inherent in communities of all types, the "tyranny of the majority"... strait up democracy is broken, the Greeks showed us that ages ago. lol

Set Godrays To Low. Thank Me Later.
macrocosm144 replied to countercruel's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
You have your opinion, but for some, such as myself and many others, the old skyrim is unplayable, unless VERY lightly modded, for me its never been stable since all the way back to windows 7, ive tried every new version of windows since then, vanilla is fine, but modded a lot its a PITA and never stable, I always ended up disappointingly uninstalling after much tinkering, I've had no full playthrough since windows 7! lol... To be truthful its totally Windows fault, not skyrim, but still, im not dual booting just to play an old game on an ancient crappy OS... this new skyrim gives me a lot of hope I'll get a good playthrough once again, almost 200 mods installed now and its super smooth and stable. Besides all that, the game has only been out a few months and SSE is where all the attention/fixes/mods are going, give it another good block of time and it will utterly crush old skyrim, more than it obviously already does for those not on a hella old OS. ...but yea... why I found this post.... I dont like the godrays lol, does weird things to the color and lighting for me in a modded game, and from what op says it may also be unnecessarily heavy on performance though ive not noticed that myself. Thanks for putting this up, im about to try disabling it. Edit: Well not only will they not disable, but the game looks strange with them on low, trees get really dark patches and its fuggly lol, like I said I get zero performance hit from having them on high-everywhere, so oh well, for now they stay as is, at least ENB fixes the strange color stuff. -

Well I tried again, what a PITA.... per bank request, Ive added all sorts of extra security crap to my card in attempt to gain approval, double authentication etc, I also verified my card with Paypal, and still... declined when I submit your cart lol... calling my bank again tomorrow to see what the issue is. -

Still a no go, ill have to ask my bank tomorrow, really annoying! >.< lol When I use my paypal account logged in, it says processing when I click add, but then stops and goes back to the same screen with no error. When I use the paypal option as guest, it says the card was rejected. Well.. ill try again tomorrow after I talk to the bank. Thanks for the tip anyhow. -

Same here :( Wont let me buy the nexus premium, did something break? Im in the USA as well. I get the same error: "There was a problem with your payment. Please try again." I know i've entered in all information correctly and there's nothing wrong with my card, I tried five times, its not user error I swear lol. -
Updating it to 64bit was a generous gift to the community, I bought my copy instead of claiming the free one just as a thanks lol, ive yet to play it tho, since theres no MO or new NMM with MO features yet, or skse etc etc. I agree with LazyAltmers statements above, including many of the existing mods would break the game for modders, which are the lifeblood of Skyrim, so that's a no go. That said, including the main bug-fix mods (such that many mods already require as dependency) USLEEP, etc, seems prudent... they'd already be supported, break nothing, please everyone, reduce support requests... (Win<-->Win) ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ PS. The fact they released a full priced version of Skyrim64 shows they'd love to support the game longer into the future (Cash Money), so stop with the silly hemming and hawing about potential abandonment, they'd be nuts to abandon one of the most successful games in history. lol There could be DLC, fixes, and more. :D

What they said, and.... one more note, if you're on windows 8, 8.5, or 10, you will be severely limited, handicapped even. All the most glorious mods were centered around being able to use more than 4gigs vram. Windows decided (or its a bug) to disable that functionality for dx9 games after win7, my old potato played skyrim FAR better... The new 64bit skyrim version remedies the problem but it really doesn't matter yet because there are no epic mods, maybe in six months or so it will though.

Just want to add my appreciation, this has been a great read, and inspiring... to see such giving people as those who provide all this awesome-sauce at not charge is truly brilliant. I realize you don't accept donations, but I am surely sending much good vibes your way! I hope Bethesda gives you all plenty of love and eases your work as much as is feasible, after all, this modding community is absolutely a core pillar to the unmatched success & popularity of Oldrim, and will surely be the same for SSE.
