  1. Yeah everyone seems to love SkyBoost. Thanks for the tip. Hopefully he can work some magic with the latest patch, though I realize that no one wants to constantly rework a mod every time a patch shows up. Crossing my fingers.
  2. I can run it very well with medium texture quality and other settings set to low. If I lower the resolution I can get mid rate FPS on complete medium settings. It's not as bad as you make it out to be. I'm just looking for some mods or pointers on how to get the framerate up, basically. I was looking to get SkyBoost but that has not been updated to the newest version of Skyrim yet. Know of anything similar? Hope that helps, I guess.
  3. I'm looking for some help on how to tweak my settings for the best performance on my PC. A quick "how-to" would be great or if there are any mods for it feel free to point me in that direction. I'm pretty new at this so any help would be appreciated. :D Here's my specs: Operating System: Windows Vista™ Home Premium (6.0, Build 6001) Service Pack 1 (6001.vistasp1_ldr.101014-0432) BIOS: Phoenix - AwardBIOS v6.00PG Processor: Pentium® Dual-Core CPU E5200 @ 2.50GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.5GHz RAM:2.0 GB / 4.0 GB (max) 667.0 MHz Card name: ATI Radeon HD 3450 Chip type: ATI Radeon Graphics Processor (0x95C5) DAC type: Internal DAC(400MHz) Pretty basic computer. I'm assuming this is the place to post this?
  4. Wait what? I'm assuming you want to download the Creation Kit?
  5. Yeah that is definitely something I'm looking forward to in the near future. Pretty sure in the next few weeks somebody will upload something like that.
  6. I've had a dragon attack Whiterun, but the only places it would land would be on the top of most buildings.
  7. I'm swimming in gold right now. I bought and fully decorated all the houses, leveled up enchanting, alchemy, and smithing, and got my awesome weapons and armor. Never once did I feel like I could run out of money. It would be nice if there were some cool weapons that could be obtained through pricey gold purchases, but right now I have nothing to spend it on. Its been like this on all my playthroughs. It also always bugged me that vendors often have large amounts of decent weapons, but there is no point in buying them because smithing the item is always cheaper (and is also cheap to level) and the materials to do so can almost always be found on the vendor, reducing the need for gold even further. A mod with a bunch of cool bonuses, armor, weapons, aesthetic items, etc, that could be purchased with a good amount of gold would be nice. Or maybe the DLC will have something cool to buy.
  8. Unlike a lot of other RPG's, Skyrim does not have a "morality" meter, and you can really do whatever you want. Par the course for TES, I'm assuming (Skyrim's my first Elder Scrolls game). This bugged me quite a bit as well, but it kinda fits in with the setting I guess.
  9. The Thalmor employ a group of crack marksmen to shoot would-be adventurers in the knee and turn them into harmless town guards.
  10. *Scrutinizes* Well done sir, well done. *Slow Clap*
  11. Anyone know of a mod that gives Whiterun green grass instead of the vanilla (dead) tan color?
  12. Right, because I am totally convinced that my liscense to play the game is going to be taken away for no reason. I'll save some gas money and download from Steam, thank you very much.
