  1. I finally got a new PC and got back into modding Skyrim. Sorry for my absence (again), I will try to answer any questions. I don't remember much about this, except that you need to re-texture that shockgradient for it to work properly. Even then, I still had some purple left on my weapons. I found every obscure little color node and changed it. Eventually, the color panned out the way I wanted it to. I'd try it again but I have the new NifSkope which I need to familiarize myself with.
  2. Well, that never happened to me, but if its even there when your bow is supposed to be there, just grab another default bound bow and color it again. If the orb is still there, you either colored a wrong string in the mesh, or its a texture problem. Hope this helps.
  3. Sorry I haven't replied at all, I got bored with Skyrim after 220+ hours and never checked my messages or e-mail associated with this account. I really don't know how I got all the blue flames to disappear. I opened every little string and changed every single color to the one I wanted, and I never took the time to isolate which colors actually changed the flames.
  4. I've wanted to do the same thing. I've tried copying the flames mesh and pasting on to whatever weapon I want, but that's a no-go. I can't for the life of me figure out how to get changes in nifSkope into Skyrim.
  5. Sorry, I'm at a cabin without my laptop for a few days. But I'll check your file when I get home. Again, my problem was that I missed one color in an nif, I checked every node, and found a VERY obscure color node that I missed. When I changed that, everything worked fine. Try going to File>Save As, instead of File>Save. That's sometimes a problem for me, mainly when I work on .dds files in GIMP.
  6. I had the same problem with my Bound Bow. It turns out that there was one BSShader that I missed. I changed that and it worked correctly.
  7. Did we ever figure out how to do this? Trying to do something similar, but not successfully. I see wierd purple-blue shiny blobs in nifscope, which I am assuming is some sort of normal map. How can I make the model show up like it looks in game? Also, when I look at the emissive colors in nifskope, i am seeing values that have equal red, green, blue. What exactly does that mean? Wouldn't that be a greyscale color? Sorry for the late post. I did get this to work. What I did was open every NiTriShape, and their BSLightingShaderProperty thingys, and change every color to the one I want. That seemed to work. The bound flames have their own texture though. I don't remember exactly where they are located, one of Sunnie's posts should show you where.
  8. Sorry it's taken me so long to reply, I'm in the process of moving rite now. My problem is when I edit the armor pieces in nifskope, they look the way I want them to. But when I save them, they still have their default model in-game. When I click transform>clear, it deletes the entire piece of armor that I was editing, like say a pauldron.
  9. I've seen other posts about this problem but not a working solution. People have posted modded armor with this method, but it doesn't work for me. I adjust vanilla armor in NifSkope, and it looks just fine. But when I test it in Skyrim, none of my adjustments are saved. And yes, I've done Transform>Apply on everything I change, but still no luck. It worked 100% fine for Oblivion, but not for Skyrim. Can anybody help me with this? In NIFSkope In-game (I apologize for the poor quality, Skyrim won't let me take screenshots and the resolution of Steam screenshots are just terrible.)
  10. I have the perk where time slows down with the bow, today I zoomed in, and when I shot the game is still in slow-mo. I reloaded a save, and removed the perks via player.removeperk xxx, but I'm still stuck in slow motion. Even in a save 5 days earlier. ----Problem solved (kinda) It just returned to normal after five minutes of real world time.
  11. You're saying that you want a green bound bow?
  12. Motioninjoy is a free program that allows you to use a lot of different controllers, unless it's only made for PS3 controllers because that's what I use. Honestley, I think Skyrim is great without a controller, I only really use one when my PC is hooked up to my TV.
  13. I am completley baffled. I colored everything, and changed the textures, but no luck. I've got to be missing SOMETHING
  14. Thanks I found the quiver before your post, but the quiver's flames are still indigo, even after I retextured DarkSwirls.dds and GradShockRune.dds, wich leads me to believe I over-looked a texture file.
  15. I've always thought that that it's realy stupid that you sheathe Bound Weapons. Would someone please make a mod where instead of sheathing them, your player charcter squeezes them and they burst into ashes?
  16. The flames have changed for everything except for the quiver. I changed it's emission and specular colors, but it's still default. Any idea why?
  17. The only thing I don't get is what controls the color of the flames.
  18. This is a stupid question, but where is the BSLightingShaderProperty string? I'm not fiding it.
  19. Thanks. It's been a long while scince I used NIFSkope, how do I change the colors?
  20. I didn't see this posted, but if you have godmode enabled before typing showracemenu, none of your stats or perks or anything else will reset.
  21. I'm thinking about retexturing Daedric Armor, and Boots, and the Ebony Gauntlets to look like the Scorpion Armor Set from Divinity 2: Ego Draconis. This is a really small project but I'd just like to know if anyone would download this.
  22. What program do I use to change the models? NIFSkope doesn't seem to work for skyrim.
  23. Someone else is doing a mod like this. I think everyone trying to mod Alagaesia should work together and make an awesome mod.
  24. I wanted to retexture the bound weapons, I hate thier color, but I can't find the folder with thier textures. Where are they?
