  1. I don't like how skinny my V is. NPC's all over the game can come in beefier sizes. Like Jackie and other random NPC. Is there a mod, or anyone working on one, that lets me be a beefier guy? Either use Jackie's body with my custom face?
  2. I assume you have to edit offline pawns? I like to have pawns with looks I really like. But when i spend hours in the rift looking for pawns with looks I love, they NEVER have the inclination I want, or sometimes not even good gear. I am new to playing with mods for this game. It's one of my fav action RPGS, and I figured maybe mods can make it feel fresh for me. But I want to customize the look of each party member, so i don't have to spend days in the rift sorting through pawns who are not the right lvl, not the right inclinations, not the right gear. Can anyone walk me through what I have to do, step by step, to do this? I know there is a pawn manager mod. But I'm really new to this, and not exactly sure how I would use it to manage the exact looks and gear of the 3rd and 4th pawns. Anyone able to help me through it, or know of an active discord I could go ask? *solution found on reddit*
  3. I wonder though. Since ambient tracks play full time I think, it probably would not shut off during combat. Unless Ambient sounds do stop during combat?
  4. You know how on each stage, it's musically silent? And music only plays when fighting, or chasing, or hiding? Is there an audio file you could use to add BGM to stages? (Wildspire, Ancient Forest etc etc) So like if I'm running through Ancient forest gathering, hunting endemic life, or idle or something, some music plays? But also will stop when you begin to fight a monster so the Monsters battle/chase theme can take over?
  5. I'm a console player who just transitioned to the PC version, and used "Sorted Shop (All items)" by Croxa to rebuild my character that I put in over 2,000 hours of work over the years since MHW came out. Soooooooooooo...... I totally forgot Astral Tickets were not a "thing". I was so careful not to download account items, or any appraisal items just so I coudl be safe, and not break anything. But I Completely forgot that Astral's were never added to the game. So when I gained access to the Elder Melder via story, in a blind unthinking action, I was like "Oh, what's this one?" And pressed it. My dumb ass thought it was some sort of early level new player item. It said "Gives you powerful gear". And I thought it would give me some powerful like that MR set they give to new players now, so they can get through vanilla story faster. So I used one, and got a super rare deco. And I just thought it was weird. Then I noticed "Astral Melding" and THEN it clicked. I panicked and threw away my Astral tickets I had. But unfortunately I DID use one. So now, the OPTION for Astal melding is still there. And the game is aware that I used one. I know Capcom does not typically target folks for banning from online play for most of these mods. And some ppl suggest going offline when you're using something that would really get you noticed like Cheat Engine altering. But, how screwed am I here, for using an Astral ticket? It didn't even dawn on me an item that is not yet available to use, would be in this mod, because from what I could tell, the other stuff that's not available and totally be functioning. (like Exhaust coatings for bows, doesn't even have proper icons. There are so many damn tickets now, I let this one slip by.) Now I'm worried. It took me nearly all day to go through every item to restore 2,000 of work. (Since when buying items you only can go up in multiples of ten uuugh) Anyone else use an Astral ticket before, and are still fine? Or did they get banned?
  6. Edit: *Accidental bump* had this open looking at old info, to share with someone, and posted in wrong window.*
  7. I'm gonna give that a try. I'm so stumped. I've been erasing mods a bit at a time to try and trouble shoot. I'm past the first part at least and out of the cell for alternate start, without crashing. Though the Intro demo level still bugs out though. I have encountered crashes later on. so Still trying to see what mod conflicts are causing it.
  8. I deleted some mods and installed new ones during a play through, so obviously I needed to start a new one. But now the game crashing not too long after the new game starts. I checked each mods page for compatibility issues, but so far I had not found any? I'm not super experienced in modding, but I've been following tutorials, and mostly playing with mods i downloaded over the past year that have things that I enjoy. It crashes if I use alternative start. It crashes in the prison cell if i stay too long. And then crashes again if I sleep and get warped to Whiterun. Can't walk far without a crash no matter what. It breaks if I use opening scene overhaul. The dialogue will break and not start at all. Or when the wagons get to camp, they keep walking into the wall. OR when we hop out the cart, the npcs stop calling names, and we just stand there forever. Have not done it yet with every mod uninstalled. So I was hoping if any more experienced modders could look at my load order, and help me out in figuring out which mods are messing with each other to cause crashes? I've tried my best to read mod descriptions too. In fact, my mod plugins are super bloated from all the compatibility patches I've downloaded for each and every mod and the mod it goes with. I've used LOOT, but then had to make a few adjustments. I also hear the more mods I have the less accurate LOOT is? I've tried merging things to cut down on plugins, but so far it's mixed results. I merged Weapon mods, but then textures break and turn blue. I merged Armor mods, and then Armors broke and turned blue. But it crashes even if I take those merges I made out. Anything stick out to anyone? 1) 2) 3) 4) 5) I have a ton of plugin bloat from weapons, armors, and most of all, Patches. I tried to Merge patch files too, but most of them didn't even show UP in the selectable plugins in "Merge Plugins"
  9. I went down to 249, but I'm still getting the same error. But to be clear, when they say not installed mods, does this mean more than just double clicking on the Mods list, and getting the big red circle for not installed but the mod is greyed out? Or do they mean I have to completely uninstall AND delete the file? I've also been trying to delete mods that I dont even need anymore. But I downloaded those through the in game MOD page. I deleted them from the load order there. but for some reason they STILL show up in my NMM list on the "plugins" tab. I can't figure out how to delete them there. EDIT: OK Issue resolved. Took a long time to find, because I kept getting different answers, but found it. You ignore that message. And continue like it never occurred. And apparently best answer I could get was "it doesn't do anything". Tutorial threw me off more, because he went for some time before even getting to the actual next step. So I kept thinking I was doing something wrong because my next screen "didn't look like his". But eventually he got to the next part.
  10. A lot of it is just various Armor, and Weapon plugins, and a BULK of the mods are just texture replacements. Just under 80 or so are texture packs. Which each individual monster or thing it replaced came with it's own .esm file. About 30 mods are Armor and Weapon packs that I have down loaded over the year. About 12 follower mods. about 10 special bosses that drop armor Then on top of the SAME mod often having multiple files, and compatibility patches..... I have 140 mods... that's 115 extra files that came with them.
  11. Hello, I've been playing SSE off and on for about a year. My first time experiencing mods for Skyrim ever, was when I started playing around with the mods on the Mods menu IN the game. But then recently I learned about how much MORE amazing I could make my game by staying away from Besthesda.net mods, and coming right to Nexus. Been learning a lot, and spent an entire day following this super detailed mod suggestion, Installation order, and load list guide. Found it a few days ago. Here: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/2846/? After following that my game looks and plays amazing. Though now I had to start all over, because installing that many mods, broke my saves and makes me crash from time to time. But at the end of the guide I had like 280 Plugins, from 140 mods, and my game started not loading some. So I googled, and found that there is a 255 plugin limit. That is where I learned about getting around this by "merging" .esm's and .esp's. I found a super detailed start to finish Tutorial. Here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0S6cpCwTezE&feature=youtu.be But now I'm stuck on a part. But the tutorial didn't address "if you get "this message that means this is happening". I tried googling for a couple hours, but I can't find anything. And that tutorial is a year old, so I'm not hopefully the creator will be paying attention to old threads to help me. I'm stuck at 9:46 in the tutorial. :( I followed every step, up to that point, but when I hit the "OK" button I get an error message: "list index out of bounds (3)" It does not go to the next step as in your video. It just goes to "Plugins" tab, and all the plugins I did select show up with various codes. The Skyrim, Updates, and 3 Expansion files are "Black listed" with a black X. I tried googling, and I can't find an answer. I'm playing Skyrim Special Edition. I have 282 Plugins. My active Plugin count is 255. The rest are unchecked and not active. I only selected My weapons and armor plug ins for the merge however, and well as the Skyrim, Updates, Hearthfires, DawnGuard, Dragonborn. Does anyone know what is wrong? what does "list index out of bounds (3)" mean?
  12. Interestingly enough my Beard mods show up just fine. I should probably make a technical help thread though. As i just encountered a new issue lol. And yea I got into it as well. I got excited that I was learning more here than I was blindly googling. But thank you so much for your help in this thread.
  13. Yea, following tutorials on the modding, and the hair options SHOW for me in the drop down, but every single one looks like this, unless it's a vanilla option. I'm also noticing the redguard mohawk isn't showing at all. Makes me wonder what other hair styles I'm missing. But the Vanilla hair shows up no problem I can't even find the option to just make him bald lol
  14. Oh god... whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! lol And it looks hideous heheh. I'll try your recommended mod. Also From digging around the Kfollower page at the mods he used, he mentioned something called "Book of Silence" retexture mod. Which of COURSE is not on the Special edition page and only on Oldrim here: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/24909/?tab=2&navtag=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fmodfiles%2F%3Fid%3D24909&pUp=1 Where he/she has 5 different texture packs. So is it safe to assume that I can CONVERT them to SSE via the method you gave me above that I used for Kfollowers?
  15. Which do you think is better? Tempered skins https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/7902/? Or Skysight Skins https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/6580/? Tempered seems to give more options? Not sure. Remember, my original desire was for this Which I knew for a fact was not possible on regular sliders lol Which is when I saw other "bulky" custom followers I wanted to download them. But then they ended up never looking the same as the uploaders image. Again case in point: and Which made me feel maybe I didn't have the right body mod. Remember, I had been trying to figure out how to take someone else's mod, and play around with it, but as FAR as I got was trying to change hair, before I came here. Because I was only able to play with "vanilla" looking assets. So I didn't know what I was doing wrong. It wasn't so much the muscle "detail". Honestly I'd rather give the warrior I envisioned, a slight belly, but big chest and big arms. lol Not "shredded". In the pic right above this, they are the exact same "follower". They look the same "frame" wise. But see how bigger the "biceps" and the "triceps" are on the left? That is what was perplexing me initially. But from our conversation, the extra layer of "bulk" on the bicep just comes from the texture mod. Is that correct?
  16. Oh of course. I'd only upload something if I had permission or I made it myself. Some of the mods specifically say, Yes you can use in your mod you create, No you can't, or Just give credit. So I definitely would look before I did anything for other than myself. Now, the tutorial I mentioned, I never got to finish. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AlepT3rQ8LI Because midway, I found it wasn't helping me. It was a tutorial for just making a custom follower using base Skyrim assets. Not for take another person's custom follower, and altering the hair, body, or even race. So when I WOULD import another's custom follower, It would have vanilla hair, and I could not figure out how to say, use the hairs from my apaichii mod I downloaded. Where I can select hair when "I" create a character. When I would try to click the Apaichii mod along with the mod for the follower, the hair option WOULD show in the drop down menu, BUT, they never showed up right. The NPC would be bald. With just a big giant red Triangle. Do you know what I need to do exactly? I haven't even figured out how to give them perks yet. It was only shortly after trying with that video, and then googling for a bit to no avail for what I specifically wanted, that I turned to this forum. I didn't know what else to do lol. I'm glad I did though. This link does not work for me. It give me an error message. When I do a search for "More muscular men" in the search bar, nothing comes up. Same with this link. Oooooh.... so he probably provided armor for both types so it would work no matter which you used for the female characters? Ok this link works hehe. And, oh, nice! Yea, I have never been a Khjiet fan, I never liked the way they, the lizards, or most of the elves looked in Bethesda games. I swear they have THE ugliest Elves I've seen in most games LOL. They make them look like aliens. But this Khajit mod them look badass. I will definitely download it. I'll try and find some mod for the elves and such too. And for the woman, you would recommend I download CBBE? I'll check it's it's already on the Special Edition page. If not, will I have to convert it via your tutorial? And also, I had been using a bunch of various texture mod packs, and I thought my game was looking good. But MAN.... from the screen shots you've shown me through various links, my game looks like trash! LOL From digging around the Kfollower page at the mods he used, he mentioned something called "Book of Silence" retexture mod. LOL I was thinking the same the more in depth we got in our replies. My intention was to come and ask for a modder to help me. Maybe they would make some followers the way I asked. However, I had noticed that So many posts go unanswered lol. So I figured maybe, modders just didn't feel like making mods for everyone, and will only answer when they have interest. So I wanted to leave it open, to where, IF a modder didn't have the time or interest in CREATING what I wanted, maybe a modder can give me some step by step tutorials to follow and I can do it myself. As long as a Tutorial words itself in a manner as if they are speaking to someone who doesn't know ANYTHING, I can follow any step by step thing lol. It's just that when they start using terms I don't know, or skip steps assuming I know, that I may run into trouble. FOr example on the tutorial you gave me where it says: Not being too familiar with the program, as I just downloaded it like a few days ago, I was like... "but which thing do I select to change". lol. I know it said it didn't matter "what" you changed, but I couldn't even "find" a Bedroll just to follow him exactly. So I spent a second worried I would mess something up. The only bedroll I found was a file that had a different icon on it than anything else. I think it had a letter on it, but i don't remember now. So I just picked a random NPC under character, and continued. (All my mods so far until I found this nexus had been via the ingame "mods" menu ON the Skyrim Special Edition title screen, where you browse and click, and it does everything for you in one button press, and you just have to adjust the load order.) Then I got to: The second step tripped me for a second. Because it said uncheck the "Head parts only" but it was already unchecked when I restarted the program. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to run it unchecked on everything else, or if I should check others things, so I just left the 3 things on top checked and gave it a go. I know it's minor, but it made me pause, as someone not knowing what I was doing lol. The other tutorials I found are far worse assuming I'm already familiar. But yea, this went way beyond the scope of my original hope. But I am glad it did, because I learned a lot. More than my googling. I hoped that even if a busy modder couldn't help me, at least they could maybe point me in the right direction, and let me do all the work, instead of asking them to upload work they didn't care for, or upload someone else's work for me. Plus, if I learn more about modding, maybe I can contribute too.
  17. @Niborino I'll try the face pic soon, see if it works for me. And OMG thank you!!! It took me a while, but after following each step I got the mod to work in SSE. Those followers are amazing. Though Fjolfr turned out to be way shorter than I thought he'd be lol. Is there a way I can Edit another person's custom follower in my own game? Change his height? play with the body sliders? Change his hair, and scars and paint? His body proportions on the mod page is also very different. So this must be what you were talking about with the thing you called CBBE? So CBBE stands for "Caliente's Beautiful Bodies Edition" which is a game wide body mod and not character specific. Then there is another body mod called UNP that stands for UnPretend? From what I was able to read, CBBE is required if you want big boobs on ladies and Big bulges on men, as well as giant giant crazy muscles? And UNP is if you want more real proportions? Now, I'm, not super concerned by Big boobs or bulges, not even concerned with showing lots of skin. If I could find a large body, body mod, and a great set of armor to go with it, I'd shoot for that. So which one do you think he is using here? I think the only things I've installed so far are texture mods. I even noticed a difference in the look of the Iron Armor. I scrolled down to the bottom of the Kfollwers page, and he lists all the mods he used. I'm gonna try to download a few of the Armors and items and convert them to SSE using the instructions you outlined. I had previously thought the body mods were just character specific when you installed mods. Because When I downloaded Sofia, she came looking like this: I never paid tooooo much attention to the standard nude bodies, but I had just assumed her mod came with a body mod for her. Or is this the default female in game body? And when I downloaded Kellece, she is actually COMPLETELY nude, with pubic hair. So I assumed another body mod. The guy in KFollowers thanked BOTH UNP and CBBE for his follower mods. So they can coexist and be character specific?
  18. @Kregen I did notice Inigo, he looks cools, has the large body type I was looking for, but unfortunately he is Kjiet. I was looking for Nords, Redguards, Imperials, and Orcs. I'm currently using a multi follower mod called Amazing Follower Tweaks. And I wanted to create the feel of a RPG party. Currently I'm using the custom followers: Sofia - The Paladin (Though she doesn't allow me to tweak her spells, stats, or skills with AFT like all the others. Apparently her Vanilla version can be tweaked with something called MCM. But SSE doesn't have that) Shandar - The Ranger Aiis - The White Mage Taleisin - The Black Mage Kellece - The Rogue My own character is a sword wielding battle mage. And I wanted to round out the party with a couple of 2 hander warriors. Imperials, Orcs, Redguard, or Nords. I tried Tryggr, and Hacihammer, but as you can see in the previous post, they both are busted. Fjolfr would have been PERFECT! (Last pic in previous post) Though I would have preferred Body hair, and a Beard.
  19. @Niborino9409 I actually saw that mod. I was most interested in the big guy on the right. But I disliked their facepaint, and hair. Though I think all 10 of your characters look great. I HAD worried about if a bigger character was made, would the armor stretch a bit to compensate. If it didn't I kinda would not mind a big Barbarian type with just light headgear, Boots, arm bracers and a Fur studded Cloth. Like that mod in the final pic. I wanted to make some large 2 handed warriors and tanks. What do you mean exactly by this line: "You can give followers custom skins(ie. bodies) but that doesn't mean they'll have that body when wearing armors from your game unless you also have that body installed."? You can give followers custom skins/bodies but they won't have that body in armor unless you have the body you gave them installed?  Do you mean "unless you have that armor FOR that body, installed"? Or are you saying that if you instal some sort of "body" in the game, then all armor will adjust itself? Forgive me, I am "completely" new to modding in Skyrim lol. Narandil is cool, though that guy is for vanilla, and not SSE and the creator seems pretty strict on his options for his story purposes. (ie: he doesn't level with you. No marriage option, won't attack on sight unless he is attacked first, etc) What is a WIP? I also did see an Upload someone did that I liked the look of, unfortunate for me, this was a Courier replacement mod, and not a new follower. He is at least somewhat closer to what I wanted. Though I would prefer him a bit rougher. I had found this mod called "Tryggr" that looks cool. Unfortunately the modder doesn't know how to properly upload to SSE, and ALL his custom followers have that "grey face" bug thing going on. The modder was alerted to this by several people, but he never bothered to fix any of them. Even if I could not have a body mod, a bunch of followers to choose from closer to this would have been great. Minus the bad colored skin. Someone also made a follower called Hacihammer and uploaded him to SSE. But Again they didn't upload him right, and he has the Grey face bug. Is that a default body size? Or is that a custom body? He seems pretty beefy. If that is the default body, I'd be fine with that size. Though I think his body seems to shrink if I put gear on him. Or am I just imagining it? Here are some other looks I like, but they are not uploaded, and also not in SSE This last one is from a Nexus upload for Vanilla. A follower names Fjolfr. Unfortunately not for SSE. A mod called "KFollowers" some pretty damn impressive mods. Unfortunate like I said, it's not for SSE. Which is such a shame, because Fjolfr is EXACTLY what I was looking for. Any idea how to create him? If I knew how, I'd make a bunch of various kinds, the same way you made 10. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/40640/? How would I go about creating a follower like Fjolfr?
  20. Hi, I'm very new to playing with Mods in Skyrim, and I am so grateful for all the mods I have come across that have made Skyrim feel like I'm playing a whole new game. I am loving all the cool custom followers and NPC I have come across on the Nexus. But the one thing that seems to be missing from custom followers and npc in the special edition are tall, and big burly male characters. All the male characters I find so far are all super pretty boy types. Such as: Which, they all look AMAZING.... but not exactly the big beefy Warrior or Tank type that I'm looking for that looks closer to the "Mountain" from Game of Thrones. The closest custom follower I found that fits that burly "non pretty boy with long hair" look is: Of which I made him my "Ranger" Follower. I found a Body mod on the Nexus, however I didn't wanna go that route, because that changed the body for EVERYONE. I just wanted to have a couple large burly followers and npc to choose from. With Beards and Bald, Crew, or Caesar cuts. I'd like some Imperials that look like this: Some Nords that look like this: Some Redguards that look like: And Orcs that look like: (This one is from the Racial body mod I found that changes everyone) Is anyone willing to make some Followers and NPC from the mentioned races that look more like these guys? I would make them myself, but like I said, I am COMPLETELY new to mods. Today I just learned how to install SSE mods directly from this site, and not just relying on the Bethesda portal in game. I learned about the creation kit too, and downloaded that as well, but I am not a 3D modeler. I tried following some Tutorials I found that show you how to create a custom follower. However, I only figured out how to make a basic one, that has the basic available Skyrim hair, and such. Yes, I don't even know how to give a follower HAIR from a mod I already downloaded  I tried a few times, because I found a few followers that I love their face but hate the hair choice. So I tried to find tutorials on how to do that. The drop down for the hair, seemed to warp and bend, and not look right. So I know I'm doing something wrong. If there is someone that can perhaps help? Or help walk me through it? I'd be willing to do all the work that you tell me to do. What I want to do: 1) Create a few taller, bulkier, beefier Body types for Imperial, Redguard, Orc, and Nords. 2) Make the either Bald, buzzed, or short haired 3) Give them a good male face 4) Give them perks for the classes they will be I'm not a 3D modeler I'm not a texture creator I have 6 Gigs worth of Mods installed and a ton of Texture and Hair mods installed. And is there another resource to import from? So HOW do I create THIS but with different looks, including race, Height, hair, short or bald, and different facial hair: (Found it on google. It's a Skyrim mod someone did for Vanilla version long ago.) Is it hard to do? Is it simple?
  21. I had found one on Youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f9XUZKlKesU But had not attempted it just yet. Have not turned game on yet. Is this tutorial good?
  22. No no, not using a mod to marry 2 different followers to each other. I had my character marry the Tyggr Custom follower.
  23. Btw, I did not think to check over at Bethesda.net. I just thought people ported their mods from Nexus over to the new Skyrim SE. (Many of the mods use Nexus links in the description, which is how I found this site) Maybe I can reach the modder over there.
